Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Eyes of the Ancient

Far beyond the ruins, in a place untouched by time, shadows stretched across the chamber.

A figure sat on a throne carved from black stone, six millennia etched into every movement. Age: 6000 years. Cultivation Level: Level 9, God Ascendant Stage – Peak.

Eyes like molten obsidian scanned distant threads of energy. One particular pulse drew attention: pink, controlled, precise.

The child has awakened, the figure murmured. Voice low, commanding, yet almost melodic. Even at Level 1, Mid Stage – Peak Sub-stage… remarkable. Predictable… yet interesting.

Long-Term Calculation

The figure leaned forward. Ancient hands drummed the armrest of the throne.

"From the moment he was born," the figure said, voice echoing through the void, "the threads were set. His bloodline, his aura, the seal… all part of the plan. The world will bend to it, eventually. Or break. And he will lead the way."

For the first time, a faint smile curved their lips. It wasn't joy. Not yet. It was calculation, patience honed over six thousand years.

"The first step has been observed. Mid Stage – Peak Sub-stage… early, but controlled. Soon, he will taste conflict. And only then will the threads tighten."

Strategic Manipulation

The figure rose, robes flowing like shadows over black stone. Ancient energy pulsed faintly, pushing against the limits of the chamber.

"Scouts will report," the figure continued. "Minor clans will move. The child will face threats he cannot yet perceive. Each trial, each struggle, will refine him. Each small victory… will serve the grand design."

Fingers curled around a carved orb, dark as void. It pulsed faintly, resonating with threads in the distant world—the ruins, the child, the scattered minor clans.

All will be observed. All will be guided. And eventually… the path will converge.

Connection to MC

The pulse of Tiankong's aura had not escaped the figure. Even subtle shifts in Peak Sub-stage were noticed.

Mid Stage – Peak Sub-stage… controlled by instinct. He does not yet understand the depth of his own aura. Nor does he sense the threads surrounding him. Yet.

A shadow passed across the figure's face. Patience. All in due time. The child's growth will dictate the pace of events. Force too early, and chaos. Let him walk. Let him struggle. Let him awaken fully…

Villain's Goal

Leaning back, the figure whispered almost to themselves:

"I have walked six millennia. I have seen empires rise and fall, stars burn and fade. And yet, one goal remains… the pinnacle. Dou Di. Ultimate power… the world reshaped in my design. And he… he is a crucial variable. From birth, he has been… the catalyst."

A long pause. Eyes narrowing.

"The clans, the seals, the scattered cultivators… all will fall into place. Or be crushed beneath it."

Watching the World

Far below, the scouts had returned, minor reports filed, minor adjustments made. The child's presence had stirred ripples in countless directions.

The figure's lips curved faintly. "Good. Let them meddle. Let them attempt caution. Each small threat will teach him control, each mistake… will refine him."

Ancient energy shifted around the figure, black and red threads intertwining, resonating with distant echoes of the ruins.

Six thousand years of waiting… and the final game begins.

Internal Strategy

Hands folded behind their head, the figure contemplated the layers of strategy:

Minor clans → observe, report, and provide early trials

Seal → subtle pressure, guiding the child without overt interference

External threats → small, calculated, testing growth

Final convergence → when the child reaches true Peak Stage and beyond, the world will bend to the plan

Everything… perfectly timed. Every thread… taut, waiting.

The figure's eyes glowed faintly. Ancient, patient, yet cold.

The child does not yet know he has been part of a plan since birth. But he will awaken fully… and only then will the path become clear.

Closing Thought

The figure sat back, robes flowing over black stone. Shadows pulsed in rhythm with ancient energy.

Patience, the figure whispered. Every step he takes is mine to guide. Every growth… mine to observe. Every heartbeat… part of the plan.

The first watchers in the minor clans were not yet the real threat. They were merely instruments, nudges to push him forward.

And soon… very soon, the threads would tighten.

The child would awaken fully.

And the world would shift.
