The two goblin champions wasted no time launching their assault on Gabriel and Nubie. On their side, the latter were preparing to engage in battle in their turn. Gabriel charged toward the giant eye while Nubie faced the two enormous goblins who rushed at her with rage, violence, and speed. She drew her bow, which was not armed with an arrow, before saying:
Lightning Arrow...
No sooner had she spoken than a bolt of lightning appeared in her hand before she released it while shouting:
Multi-shot!!!
She fired only a single arrow which, in midair, split into six before crashing down upon the two goblins, who were struck by a massive electric discharge head-on. The power of the attack was such that the produced light illuminated the entire cave and had clearly damaged, even burned, the skin of the two monsters, who were immobilized for a moment.
This is your fault! The young woman exclaimed angrily. You will pay for what you did to my friends. She said as she prepared other lightning arrows while both goblins had survived the previous attack and were preparing to rush at her with even more rage.
On his side, Gabriel stayed alert before launching himself at full speed toward his enemy. He relied on his extraordinary speed to land the first blow, but he was unpleasantly surprised by his opponent, who created a pink beam of light with its eye and then pierced his left leg.
Gabriel bit his lips after his momentum had been so easily sabotaged.
Damn, I foolishly let myself be caught off guard. He thought as he examined the wound. This is going to be tough now.
Taking advantage of the situation, the eye fired three simultaneous shots at Gabriel, who managed to dodge them all while running to the left. But the giant eye had him in its sight and fired at the slightest opportunity. Gabriel could not get closer; his injured left leg greatly reduced his speed.
He was even forced to stop running to avoid certain attacks, either by crouching, leaning aside, or even jumping backward. He no longer felt capable of outrunning his enemy by charging straight at it, so he ran all around it while watching for the slightest opening.
But as if that were not enough, the tentacled eye activated a large magic circle that created a mana zone all around them. Gabriel could no longer move since the creation of this zone. His body was frozen in place as if time itself had stopped flowing. He could not even move a single finger, and he soon understood why.
I see! He thought calmly. This zone has a paralyzing effect. No choice then. That's right, demonic eyeballs are scholars of magical zones. If what the girl said is true, then it can also use an anti-magic zone that blocks all use of magic and skills. I must finish this before that, otherwise...
Gabriel did not finish his thought when the eye fired at him again, piercing his left shoulder, then his right thigh, and his lower abdomen.
No, not again! He told himself, biting his lips to better endure the pain.
Gabriel could no longer move due to the paralyzing effect of the magic zone, in addition to being severely wounded. The giant eye then took advantage of this and sent its black rope-like tentacles to seize its opponent by piercing him from top to bottom.
But at the very moment the tentacles were about to impale his body, Gabriel cut all six of them down in an instant.

Blood sprayed once more across the chamber as the giant eye was overwhelmed by a feeling of incomprehension.
But as a human, Gabriel did not deign to grant it a single word and charged at it again. The eye resumed its assault, this time firing a barrage of laser beams at its opponent. But despite the speed and the number of shots, none hit Gabriel, who slipped between the beams so easily that he gave the impression of playing around. Then the eye used its tentacles to attack again, but alas, Gabriel sliced them all apart like butter.
Ignoring the pain, he pushed off with both his injured legs to accelerate twice as fast and reached his target in an instant, to the point of surprising it. The eye barely had time to react before Gabriel had already brought his sword down upon it and passed by. Ten strikes were delivered in succession, so fast that before the eye could even process them through its neurons, it was already falling apart.
Gabriel lowered his guard before swinging his sword vertically through the air to shake off the blood while the ocular monster collapsed into ten pieces in a pool of blood spreading across the ground.
Paralysis-type magic is ineffective against me. You should have activated anti-magic without delay. He said to the corpse. Still, my resistance isn't that high if I can be paralyzed for a few seconds.
Meanwhile, Nubie was still in the middle of her battle against the two goblin champions. She had burned them in several places across their bodies and inflicted serious burns to slow them down, but little by little, she was weakening as the monsters drew closer.
One of them had managed to advance toward the young woman, displaying monstrous strength before attempting to crush her with its club. The gigantic monster loomed over her, furious, letting out a great roar and using all its strength to crush her while Nubie looked exhausted and completely out of strength, since her lightning arrow had extinguished before she could even fire it. She had exceeded her limits.
Aware of the situation and resigned, she then closed her eyes and lowered her arms, accepting her fate.
That's it... she whispered. I'm at my limit. I can't go on anymore. Let's end this now. My only regret will be not having been able to take revenge for what you made us endure.
She thought when the goblin's two arms were severed with a single clean strike, splashing her with blood. She jumped back in shock as the monster's arms flew across the chamber, followed by a terrible scream.
