After painstakingly organizing about one tenth of Fairy Magic into written form,
Kiyono Inori rubbed her temples, a dull headache already creeping in.
She could still understand the earlier parts. They were simple tricks, closer to circus magic than real combat abilities. But the further she read, the more absurdly complicated it became.
And then there were Elysia's little flourishes.
She insisted that all fairy magic, including the mushroom cloud after an explosion, had to be cute. That single aesthetic obsession drove the spell complexity even higher.
"Wait a second. Could it be that Elysia is not just some silly pink pig-cat, but actually a tiny genius?"

Once she studied it far enough and organized all the questions, she would go ask Elysia Cat for proper instruction. That was the plan.

Even in her weakened state, Elysia Cat would absolutely crush those two.
But then Kiyono Inori glanced at the time displayed by the cat system. 2:10 AM.
Her body was genuinely frail.
At sixteen, a healthy body should have been able to pull all-nighters without issue. But for her, even staying up until midnight left her groggy for two or three days.

Elysia Cat was sprawled on the sofa watching a cute anime about girls being affectionate with each other. The moment she saw Kiyono Inori, the cat instantly switched from listless to fully energized.
"Yay! My dear Inori-chan, you finally finished thinking through your problems? Let me guess, were you wondering why I was already so cute, but somehow became even cuter after turning into a cat, meow?"
Meowing as she spoke,
Elysia Cat used her newly learned skill on Kiyono Inori: Cat Acting Cute!
Her long tail curled up as her fluffy head gently rubbed against Kiyono Inori's bare calf. The tail even wrapped around it. Overwhelmingly adorable.

In her previous life, she had been straight, with no extra interest in the same sex.
On top of that, her weak body had left her largely indifferent to romance altogether. Even now, Kiyono Inori was basically immune to attraction.
And yet, her mental defenses wavered.

The girl looked flustered, cheeks faintly red, eyes darting away.
And she had even used Elysia's full name instead of calling her Elysia or my dear Elysia. She was nervous. Without a doubt, she was nervous.
"Yay~ You are embarrassed?!"
Elysia Cat let out a delighted meow.

Kiyono Inori did not respond.
No matter what she said now, Elysia would tease her. Even picking her up and rubbing her would count as a reward in Elysia's book.
