Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 Necromancer 4

Ren find controlling the skeletons fun and challenging. With that, he practiced tirelessly for several days in succession. Thanks to his multitasking skill that he managed to practice with ease. And his soul force and will was on the levels of a genius.

He managed to control hundreds fully and still, his greatest efficiency was in lesser numbers which was lighter than hundred skeletons.

Several days passed and the coming of age has arrived. His master prepared for this day to arrive. He called Ren in their training grounds. Ren then was curious, as to what would happen to this so called coming of age. He prepared for the worst and also he expected that it will be a test. Upon wondering, what will it be?

"Ren, this day is called Coming of Age. You will have various tests to endure and if you will pass then this marks the day you will be called a certified passer of my trainings." He said, "Defeat me in a fair battle and you will be called a passer student of Necromancers."

"Defeat you!? How is that a fair battle?" Ren complained.

"Hmm, not gonna be easy as I will not go easy on you child. You will taste my skeletons' prowess." Xule said it not a threat but a reminder. "You are not the only one practicing child!"

Xule was serious and pretty much became serious after he clashed with Ren several times. Not only he made him his rival but also a competitor. Ren was still young but Xule has thoughts of him being his successor. That was his current potential and he was recognised already by his master.

"Ren, defeat me. And I will give you a skill page." Xule said as he grabbed a skill page. "This skill page is known as Weaken, it will be game changing to your battles."

"Sure!" Ren exclaimed. He immediately smiled and grabbed his sword on his side. "Another skill page, I bet it's strong!"

He prepared to duel his master and he was still feeling too weak with just a few swings. "Bravo!" Ren could only rejoice in advance for his utter defeat.

The odds were in favour of his master. And his master has experience unlike him. So this made him sigh in distress. He was still forced to do this trouble. Though he still needed to try his luck. Even though he was at disadvantaged, he still needed to try at least.

Weapons ready and they were both armed. The two then went in stance and then attacked. Ren then summoned three skeletons and were ready to clash.

Xule summoned ten and then smirked. He was confident that he will overwhelm Ren that easily.

"Ten!? That's unfair!" Ren complained. "At least give me a handicap!"

"No!" Xule announced. He better do his best or else Ren would win.

With that, Ren attacked with his summons. They were gripping swords and though fewer, Xule was slower, they were faster than Xule's skeletons. They clashed and the battle started to unleash chaos.

The three skeletons have bluish aura in their eyes meanwhile Xule's were green. Making it distinct to each other.

The battle started and Ten enemies attacked. His summons could only defend with Xule's skeletons were more numerous. They slashed then battered with the enemies. Skeletons versus skeletons. They would display their prowess and mastery of the said skill.

The battle would have a ratio of 3 vs. 1 which was unfair for Ren. It would be only a time that he would lose his footing and then the advantage would tilt towards Xule. One mishap would lead to his disadvantage. Ren's skeletons were outnumbered and has to deflect three strikes at once. Also, he has to control 3 at once while the enemies were outnumbering him. It was mind breaking for others but Ren was coping up with the mind pressure.

To Xule's deliberation, he was more than enough. He was even passable with flying colours. But the goal was, to surpass him. And Xule already knew his potential. He was able to distinguish his growth and it was monstrous with it leading to genius level. He was expecting Ren to surpass him one day. With that, he maxed out his tutelage on him.

Ren could see it, and was pleased. He appreciated his efforts to make him the best. He was indeed honoured to be trained by his master.

Ten vs. three.....a mismatch and a disadvantage but Ren surpasses his master's control level. His summons started to get aggressive against the ten.

One was able to block three consecutive strikes. Then smashed it with it's shoulder charge and slashed its head.

The others slashed and Ren's skeleton blocked with their swords and countered with a kick or punch. Others smashed their arms to their necks and then slammed them to the ground.

They were in chaos and Ren was just beginning to feel the technique. He would have to control them with great multitasking skill and then he attacked them. Though after it, Xule smiled. "You are now beginning to get the grasp of it. Good! Now let's give a harder difficulty."

Though Ren's enemy skeletons were also able to adjust and the battle became a stale mate. He was a skeleton monarch for a reason. He then upped his pace and this shocked Ren. Their strength increased and speed too. Making Ren to get in a disadvantaged again. His summons were one by one being flocked and overpowered by the three. One was slashed on the head, meanwhile other one was battered multiple times and his summons could barely block. He immediately improved his connection with his soul but he has his limits. With that, his two skeletons were dismantled and were destroyed. Only one remained.

"Damn, master is seriously good. And he was indeed serious that he was not slacking off and was practicing too." Ren smirked. "He is the best!"

With that, Ren was impressed and he has to defeat his master who was obviously stronger than him. All his skills was learned from him and even has the stronger version of it. He could only learn to match him with more hard work and talent. Experience wise, he was overwhelmed. Though as a student, he impressively indeed made his master to practice harder seriously. To the point that he was afraid to be defeated by his student.
