Hex POV
Running through a dark warehouse full of armed guards was not on my list of relaxing evening activities.

Working on it.
Then suddenly—
ALARMS
Red lights flashed across the warehouse.
Sirens screamed.
My stomach twisted.
That was not a good sign.

"Welcome, Luna Byte."
I froze.
Jay.
She was here.

"…No no no," I whispered.
This was exactly what Kaiser wanted.

Across the warehouse I saw movement.
Figures.
Jay.
Keifer.
Yuri.
Section E.
They were inside the building.
Exactly where Kaiser wanted them.
A digital screen lit up on one of the walls.
Numbers appeared.
05:00
Then they started ticking down.
04:59
04:58
Five minutes.
Five minutes until the explosives blew.
My chest tightened.
Jay and the others had no idea.
I stepped back into the shadows.
"…Well," I muttered quietly.
"This just got interesting."
And then I started running toward them. ⚡
