Jay POV
The warehouse looked enormous from the inside.
Rows of containers stacked like metal walls.
Dim industrial lights hanging from the ceiling.
Everything felt wrong.
Too still.
Too empty.
Felix whispered beside me.
"I don't like this place."
Yuri nodded quietly.
"Feels like we're being watched."
Keifer walked slightly ahead of us, scanning the darkness.
"Stay sharp."
Carlos's voice suddenly crackled through the communicator.
"Jay?"
"Yes."
There was a pause.
Then his voice came back quieter.
"…You need to stop moving."
My steps froze instantly.
"Why?"
Endrix answered this time.
"We hacked into the building's maintenance system."
"And?" I asked.
Carlos took a breath.
"The place is wired."
My heart skipped.
"Wired how?"
"Explosives."
The word echoed through my mind.
Carlos continued quickly.
"They're connected through the support pillars. If triggered, the entire warehouse collapses."
Felix's eyes widened.
"…That's bad."
Nathan's voice came through another channel.
"Very bad."
I looked slowly around the warehouse.
Every pillar.
Every wall.
Every shadow suddenly looked suspicious.
Kaiser wasn't just trying to stop us.
He was trying to erase us.
I spoke quietly into the communicator.
"Everyone listen carefully."
Silence answered.
"We're leaving."
Felix blinked.
"Leaving?"
"Yes."
"We regroup and rethink this."
I turned toward the entrance.
"Everyone move out—"
SLAM
The massive warehouse doors suddenly shut.
Metal locks clamped into place.
The sound echoed like thunder.
Felix stared at the doors.
"…That's not good."
A calm voice filled the entire warehouse through hidden speakers.
Cold.
Confident.
Kaiser Watson
"Good morning , luna Byte."
My fists clenched.
"Too late."
