Maya was lying on a double bed, propped up against some large pillows. She was in the Sami family's villa. After the discharge papers were completed, the doctor told her what she could and couldn't do in the following days. Cristi was present during the discussion, assuring him that his instructions would be followed.
Once they reached the villa's inner courtyard, Cristi helped her walk, using his own body as support for hers. She met the other members of the family, and then she was settled into a guest room, a room that connected to Cristi's bedroom.
"For situations when you need help," Cristi's mother told her, smiling mischievously.
She stayed with them for a week, during which time she had the attention of every member of the family. She talked a lot with Dana, the lady of the house, and helped Andrei every day with Conquiztador. Cristi behaved extremely nicely toward her as well. During the time they spent together, she even managed to find similarities between him and Bogdan. But the differences were far more numerous.
Aside from the fact that both had a certain charm and both knew how to treat a woman, the two identical brothers were not—at least in Maya's opinion—quite so identical. In fact, she had never seen twins who were so different, period.
As for Bogdan, Maya didn't see any sign of him around the house. It was Andrei who told her that he went with Diana to Băile Felix for one or two weeks; otherwise, his name was hardly ever mentioned in the house. She suspected that this was because of Cristi.
