Chapter 22 – A Gift of Despair
Our story begins from where it previously ended.
Kartik
"What is happening?"
(He asks the Evil System Window.)
Evil System
"The System World is ending because the world that belonged to it has been destroyed. We should leave now, Master."
Kartik
"Okay… but before leaving, can I send a message?"
Evil System Window
"To whom should I send it?"
Kartik
(With an evil smile)
"I want to see every one of his hopes shatter. Send him a small gift from my side."
Evil System
"Understood, Master. It will be done. Open the path for us to leave. Staying here is as dangerous as staying in death itself."
Kartik
Opens a portal to leave the novel world.
As soon as Kartik and the system window leave the novel…
MC's System Window
That place collapses, and a massive explosion occurs.
Scene Shift – Navi
The leaders of the Tiger Guild and the Sky Guild arrive near Navi. Seeing him alive, they are shocked.
Tiger Guild Leader asks –
"Hey boy, where are the other hunters?"
But Navi gives no reply. His focus is on the system window, which does not appear even when he calls it.
Sky Guild Leader says –
"It seems he has seen something extremely dangerous. He is not in his senses. Quickly take everyone out and get them treated."
He says to the Tiger Guild Leader,
"We should move forward."
Both leaders move ahead.
As soon as the hunters touch Navi, he collapses unconscious.
Everyone is shocked.
"He was conscious just a moment ago, and now he's unconscious!"
They lift Navi and take him outside.
When the guild leaders reach the monster's palace, they are stunned by what they see.
Sky Guild Leader
"How did this much destruction happen? It feels like a very powerful battle took place. Everything is ruined."
Tiger Guild Leader
"I feel someone's presence…"
As he looks closely, he sees his son and his companion hunter.
The Tiger Guild Leader runs forward, hugs his son tightly, and says,
"Son, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"
Now we are told that the Tiger Guild Leader's son's name is Billy.
Billy
"Dad, I'm fine. All the monsters are dead."
Sky Guild Leader
"The monsters lying here couldn't have been killed by your team. You can handle one or two, but here there are more than 200 monsters."
Billy
"Yes… we didn't kill them. An unknown person came. He had an ice-type skill. He killed them all."
Sky Guild Leader
"Did you see his face?"
Billy
"No."
Tiger Guild Leader

Saying this, the Tiger Guild Leader leaves with his son.
Navi's Side
Navi is taken to a bed.
But he finds himself in a strange place.
Navi
"Where am I? There is only darkness here…"
Suddenly, Navi hears a voice.
Unknown Voice
"Speak properly, my dear enemy."
Navi
"Who are you? Where have you brought me?"
Unknown Voice
"I am the one who will destroy your life. The pain you gave me, I will return ten times over. I will not kill you… I will make you suffer."
Navi
"Don't you have the courage to come in front of me? Hiding in the darkness and talking!"
Unknown Voice
(Laughing)
"I will come… I will definitely come before you. I will make you feel everything I suffered. Now you will suffer."
Navi
"Forget it. That will never happen."
Unknown Voice
"I have a small gift for you."
He throws a System Core near Navi's feet.
"You will love this gift."
Navi
"What is this? Whose is it?"
Unknown Voice
(Laughing loudly)
"Did you forget so quickly? Think… whose it is. Someone close to you."
Navi looks carefully at it.
Tears begin to form in his eyes…
