Hearing the man's words, Naruto couldn't help but ask, "Does this surname have any special meaning?"
Through the information obtained from both World Selection and Identity Selection, Naruto knew that there were great secrets in this world.
For example, the humans living within the three walls, including Naruto's original body, all believed that the outside world was completely occupied by Titans. All new recruits can choose to join the Survey Corps or Garrison Regiment, but only those who rank in the top ten in the Training Corps' final comprehensive examination are eligible to join the Military Police Regiment.
The Training Corps' emblem is derived from the dual swords used by soldiers, also known as the "Swords of Extermination."
The Survey Corps belongs to the revolutionary faction among humanity, challenging Titan territory outside the Walls with a determination to die. Because they frequently carry out missions outside the Walls and must confront Titans directly, their death rate is the highest, making them a corps that ordinary recruits do not wish to join.
However, precisely because of their long-term combat with Titans on the front lines, the Survey Corps' soldiers are far more elite than those of other corps; almost everyone possesses extraordinary combat ability.
The Survey Corps' emblem is overlapping bird wings in blue and white, symbolizing humanity's refusal to endure being caged like livestock and their constant yearning for freedom—hence also known as the "Wings of Freedom."
The primary duty of the Military Police Regiment is to manage the people and maintain order around the King. Because they have the right to live in the 'interior,' and only top recruits can join, it is the ultimate goal of almost all new recruits.
The Military Police Regiment's emblem is a unicorn, symbolizing fairness, justice, and the upholding of order—hence also known as the "Unicorn of Enforcement."
Finally, the Garrison Regiment is primarily responsible for strengthening the walls and defending cities. Their emblem is a rose, symbolizing protection and peace—also known as the "Rose of Defense."
Of course, this was only a general overview. In reality, the structure was far more complex.
