"Jamie! Jamie! ... Are you there?" the voice came from below and it was getting closer. Jamie wanted to respond but he couldn't.
Hazel shouted, "He's up here".
She had missed her chance with him but she knew it wasn't over yet. The footsteps approached them quickly. She took a few steps back before whoever it was would reach them. They looked down the stairs with their thoughts opposite. Jamie wanted it to be Paige badly while Hazel prayed it wasn't her and for once her prayer was answered. It wasn't Paige but it was someone she didn't expect to see.
"I didn't know you were here Elaine" she said with excitement.
It wasn't because it didn't turn out to be Paige. She was excited because it was someone she could use to drive wedge between her brother and Paige. Her brother's ex girlfriend was the perfect bait.
"I just got here" Elaine replied.
"He's been drinking a lot, I was going to help him to his room but since you're here you wouldn't mind doing that? I need to get back to Leon" she explained cornering her.
Hazel knew she would never turn down the chance to be alone with Jamie.
"It's no problem, I will take very good care of him" she said.
"I know you will" Hazel replied with a sinister smile.
The night wasn't going bad for her at all. In fact everything was going her way.
Elaine put her arm around his waist and his around her neck holding him up. She took him to his room and dropped him on the bed. She stood over him observing him closely. He was just cute even when he was drunk. She knew he was vulnerable at that moment and she could do whatever she wanted with him.
Jamie knew it wasn't Paige. His vision was a little blurry but he could make out her scent. The rosy smell she had on each time they were together was missing. He realised that everything was moving very fast and it dawned on him. He hadn't drunk a lot. If anything he had only two or three beers and a cocktail Hazel gave him. He knew in that moment that he had been drugged and from Hazel's performance earlier and her timing, it was clear that she had done it. She had put something in his drink just to have her way with him. In his petrified moment he knew his sister had done that to him and now he was in a bad place with someone even deadlier; an ex who wanted him back.
Elaine climbed the bed slowly and began to unbutton his shirt. She did it as slowly as she could trying to be romantic. Hazel's drug left her brother paralyzed but he was still a bit conscious. Elaine wanted to take full advantage of the situation. She knew little of what was going on but she didn't seem to care. Little by little she took off his shirt and kissed him. He wished he could do something but he was slowly losing consciousness. She took off her top and almost undid her bra when Paige barged in.
"You better get off him" she shouted, very angry.
Jamie could only hear whispers of the voice but he was glad she was there. He continued to whisper her name slowly. Elaine rushed off him quickly. Hazel had followed Paige and Marie in to see what would go on. She kept her downstairs for a while before telling her where Jamie was and whom he was with. She was using the unfortunate events to her advantage. She knew that in any relationship, no girl wants to see their guy together in a room alone with their ex. Hazel had calculated everything that could happen. She smiled as Paige shouted at Elaine.
"What do you think you're doing?" Paige asked angrily.
"I've had enough of your insolence. Jamie and I were together before you came around. Do you think I would just let you have him?" Elaine shouted but Paige was calm. She would've been angry with Jamie but she realized something was wrong when he wasn't moving.
"I don't care where you crawled out from but you need to get back there because there's no chance for you with him" Paige said turning to her.
Hazel was amused by the performance she had created but she remained silent. Elaine closed the distance between her and Paige.
"Oh, that's what you think? What do you think would have happened if you had not charged in right now? This is just a single moment. Imagine what I would do in the moments when you are not around?" Elaine continued.
"You want to sleep with him? Go ahead. I can sit and watch if you want. In fact let's have a threesome right now. Hazel will be the cameraman" she said surprising everyone.
"We can have multiple orgies with him right now if you want but let me make one thing clear. After all that, I will still be with him" she continued.
Hazel looked at her closely and realised she wasn't joking. They all knew she wasn't joking. Marie smiled. She didn't know Paige could be so fierce. Elaine walked out of the room quickly. She had lost the battle. Hazel on the other hand knew she had to do far more than scare her if she wanted Paige to leave her brother. She left with Marie, leaving Paige alone with Jamie in his room. She lied next to him and stared at his face till he was no longer conscious.
She wasn't going to let anything or anyone hurt him. She realised things were going to be difficult in their relationship but she was ready to take everyone on if it meant having him.
Jamie rose from bed quickly breathing heavily. He glanced at his side hoping the most unfortunate had not happened but he was relieved to see Paige in his bed at his house. Paige woke up too. She smiled broadly.
"Thank you" Jamie whispered and kissed her softly on the lips.
"I told you you're mine" she smiled.
"What did Leon ask you to do?" he asked immediately.
Paige didn't understand why he asked but she was ready to tell him her darkest secrets.
"Well, it was just about me getting a certain Ms Gold to the party because Cyrus was into her and from things it seems the feeling is mutual. Don't tell him that though" she explained vaguely.
Jamie was skeptical for a moment but he knew the Cyrus crush was real and he knew it was safe if they worked things out themselves. He didn't have to do anything.
"Come on, we need to get back to the party" she continued.
Jamie had forgotten about the party and all. He realised he had been out but not too long if the party was still going on.
"Or we could just stay here" he whispered but Paige got out of the bed.
She held out her hand for him to get up. He knew she didn't want to be up there with him. She wanted to be part of the group.
"Anything for the lovely Miss" he said before getting out of the bed.
