Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Back in LA…Finally

[3rd POV]

"Hello LA!" The voice of Haley echoed as they got off their jet.

After a long flight, they had finally gotten home. Billie yawned with a long stretch, as she stepped down from the jet. She had been asleep for the past few hours, cuddled up with Haley as they both decided to take their naps.

Haley had woken up a little while ago though, so her nap was different.

It was around noon, as they had left Paris at around 9 or so. The flight itself had taken her around ten to eleven hours, around as long as the first flight had. But it was just as comfortable thanks to the usage of a good nap.

"Damn it's bright here" Billie grunted, shielding her eyes from the bright sun. Back in Paris it was pretty...well, gloomy almost the entire time, and it did rain quite a bit on top of that. The rain had not been much of a bother or anything, but it did make driving a little bit more dangerous. Not enough to be a problem though.

The place was a lot brighter than she remembered. And the two of them had almost immediately noticed it. Not only that, but the heat was killing them.

They had only been gone for around a week, and they were both happy to be home, and unused to the heat already. The human body was weird like that, adapting so quickly to new weather just by being there for a short time.

"God I don't think I've ever realized how hot LA is before now" Haley said, fanning her face slightly. She was just thankful that she was not one to sweat much, so it wasn't really much of a problem. But Billie was already dying as they began to make their way towards the airport to get their bags checked before they could leave towards home.

____

A little later the two had gotten their bags checked, and were given the all clear. And now they were both in the car, with Billie driving towards the apartment where they'd put some of their stuff away, so that they could bring things around a bit easier.

While driving, she got a text.

"Could you look at that for me baby?" Billie asked, as Haley leaned over and grabbed her phone.

Reading the text, Haley blinked several times in surprise.

"What's it say?" Billie asked, noticing the reaction that Haley was showing upon reading it. It wasn't a bad one or anything, but it did seem that she was quite shocked, and that was definitely not normal.

It was not very easy to make Haley surprised. Not nowadays at least.

"It's a request"

"Hmm? From who?"

"The Kardashians want to hire you to teach their youngest daughters the basics of music" Haley said, as Billie blanked for a few moments before looking over, genuinely shocked.

"The Kardashians? Like Kim and the whole sex tape? The Kardashians that live here in LA?" Billie asked, wanting to make sure that there was some other Kardashian family out there that she had never heard of or something.

"The same ones. What should I say in response?" Haley wasn't really sure what to even say to that sort of thing. The idea of teaching Kendall and Kylie Jenner was definitely...different. But Haley personally didn't see any reason to say no.

'I forgot they even existed in this world. I wonder if they're as bad as they were in my past life. With all the endless drama and arguments. The amount of people they have...prayed on, and the amount of scams that they have promoted' Billie thought, really curious to find out more.

She had to admit that the idea was interesting. Because she already planned on starting to maybe do a few lectures at the same school that Victorious takes place in once the new semester starts. So maybe she could make a meaningful difference in Kyle and Kendall's life and make them better people?

Could be a good thing.

"Hmm, just tell them that I'll have to think about it" Billie said, as Haley nodded and sent the response a few moments later.

"Are you actually thinking about it, or just saying that so they feel a bit better?" Haley asked.

Billie snorted in response "I am actually thinking about it. I know a bit about their family so I do know that they are a very chaotic and business driven family. So I'd rather learn a bit more about them before I make any sorts of decisions. Don't want to train or help people that are not good people. And that is pointed towards the adults in the family, not Kylie and Kendall"

Billie was not going to look down on Kylie and Kendall for future decisions they make, because in her mind that was a pointless thing to do. Not to mention cruel, when they haven't even made that decision yet that "Might" be evil or "Might" be bad.

Quite frankly Billie was pretty sure she was going to accept the offer. She was not going to become a full time teacher or anything like that, but she was not opposed to teaching them like once a week or so.

But she would not be helping them if they are bratty or lazy about it. As training in singing and music in general was not something you take lightly. It takes thousands of hours to reach a level of skill that is comparable to her own. So not exactly something that they'd be getting even remotely close to.

And that was all riding on the fact that she does not continue to train, which she is obviously going to. She would never truly stop her vocal training, at least until she was old enough that it might be a problem. But piano's? Guittars? She would continue to grow better at them.

She wanted to learn and master all forms of music, regardless of the type of music in question.

She wanted to accept the offer mostly because she was rather confident that it was not Bruce Jenner (remember this is before they transition) and Kris Jenner that have asked for this, but the children most likely did. Mostly because she somehow doubted that Kris or Bruce has ever even heard of her name or the music that she has made over the past year.

She didn't really want to break the hearts of the kids, plus she thought that it could actually be fun to do.

"Hey, if you do decide to say yes, do you think that I can come?" Haley asked, trying to hide the hopeful gleam in her eyes.

"Ah, so you are a fan of their show, aren't you?" Billie asked with an amused expression as Haley blushed in embarrassment.

"And yes, you can. I don't see why they would say no to someone who is also immensely popular and only becoming more popular among the masses. That and your music might be a better thing for them to learn than mine. Or at least your style" Billie finished.

The two sat there in comfortable silence for a while after that, before Haley glanced down at her phone. She had texted the family to make sure they were free for a group call, and had confirmed it. And now as she sat there, the phone began to dial so that they could get into it.

And soon enough, the entire family was in the call, all the while Billie had only one thought on her mind.

'I wonder if they'll notice?'
