[3rd POV]
"You are way too good at this game!" The sound of Alex's voice echoed through the Dunphy home, as the group of four were sat around, Xbox controllers in Alex and Billie's hands as they played Mortal Kombat, the younger girl was getting destroyed in the game, her Sub zero getting the snot beaten out of him by Billie's Raiden.
"I've got a lot of experience" Billie responded with a small grin as she did another combo on the girl. She had been teaching Alex how to play the game, but she was a pretty fast learner, and had gotten confident in beating Billie.
Sadly for her, Billie had played a lot of mortal kombat in her off time, so...well, her health bar hadn't moved yet, so that was all that needed to be seen to know how this was going.
At the same time, Luke and Haley were watching, both of them fighting back laughs as they watched Alex struggle so much.
"Even with experience you shouldn't be able to beat me without getting hit once!" Alex said with concentration on her face, as she was trying to at least hit Billie's fighter.
Sadly for her, the words "Finish Him" had shown up moments later, as Billie grinned at the girl pouting, watching as Billie did a Brutality on Sub Zero.
"Oooh brutal!" Luke said, watching with a grin, hoping to go next.
"I knew you played video games whenever you had nothing else to do, but I didn't realize you were so good at it" Haley said, surprised as she was handed the controller by Alex.
"Oh yeah, I love fighting games. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter are some of my most played games, up there with CoD and Gears of War" Billie responded, as she handed her controller over to Luke so the kid could play against his sister.
She was honestly interested in seeing if he was any good at fighting games, and if Haley could beat him. She had already practiced a bit, so she expected for her to at least put up a fight.
"Gears of War? Isn't that the game about those creepy alien things?" Luke asked with a tilt of his head, trying to remember the game.
"They're called Locusts, and it's a bit more than that, but sure" Billie responded with a snort, as the "Locusts" were...well, more than that. Being underground creatures that rose up to the surface to take it over after certain events had happened underground in the tunnels that they had lived in for centuries/decades.
Luke looked a little interested hearing this, but decided to focus on the game against his sister, as he chose his personal favorite character, Liu Kang, while Haley looked over all the characters before choosing Mileena.
Billie had been expecting Kitana, but Mileena also seemed to fit.

As it turns out, Haley was a lot better at fighting games than anyone had been expecting. She had sort of just smashed all the buttons as fast as possible, and miraculously began to pull off combo after combo.
Billie couldn't tell if she was insanely lucky, or if she was genuinely just unknowingly learning the combos without actually looking up all of them.
Either way, Luke got beaten pretty handedly, as they decided to move onto another movie, this time they decided to watch Iron Man 2 after Luke and Alex wanted to see more of Tony's story.
Which is what they were currently watching.
"When are your parents supposed to get back? Cause it's getting pretty late" Billie asked, glancing at the time. It was around 10 at night at the moment, which was much later for a date than she was expecting.
"Probably not for another couple of hours. Mom and Dad stay out super late when they do date nights" Luke responded as he munched on some popcorn, watching the movie with interest.
Alex was also interested, mostly because Tony Stark was currently in the middle of creating an entirely new element. Which was very impressive, even if it was obviously impossible to their current standards.
"Yeah they spend most of the night out doing...gross stuff" Haley responded, cringing slightly at the thought of what they might be doing. She really didn't want to even think about that for a moment, so she abruptly decided to change the subject.
"You can go home if you want, you know, you don't have to stay the entire night" Haley added, surprised that her girlfriend was still over.
"Nah it's fine, plus I like hanging out with my girlfriend and her siblings" Billie replied with a small smile on her face, truly enjoying her time there. Luke and Haley hadn't been arguing or anything at all, well, not very much at least. So they had been pretty fun to hang out with, and seemingly knew when to stop arguing.
Probably because they did not want to embarrass themselves in front of someone like Billie.
Even if Billie thought their arguing was funny.
Hearing her response, Haley's face flushed as pink dusted her cheeks and she looked away, trying to hide the small stupid smile the formed. While Alex raised an eyebrow at the reaction and couldn't help but grin slightly at her sister.
She had never seen her act like this around...well, anyone. Sure, she had a few boyfriends in the past, but none of them lasted longer than like...a week, and she had never really done anything with them.
It was closer to being friends with them than anything.
And she definitely did not react like this with them, not even close.
It made Alex even more certain that her sister had found someone special in Billie. Someone that genuinely cares for her, and not her appearance.
Well that and Billie was super smart so that made her even more likeable.

The Dunphy children had been right in saying that the night would continue for another couple of hours before the parents had returned. And those two hours had just been spent watching movies and talking.
Well that was until Luke fell asleep on the couch next to Alex, who was struggling to remain comfortable as she slept next to Luke, while Haley was leaning against Billie's warmth, softly snoring as she cuddled up against her girlfriend.
Hearing the door to the house open, Billie glanced over as she saw Claire and Phil tip toe into the area, both of them letting out soft "aww's" when they had seen all their kids asleep, while Billie was smiling.
"You two have fun?" Billie asked, whispering slightly as Claire smiled.
"Thank you for this, Billie. And yes, we had a great time. Are you gonna head out, or would you like to stay the night?" Claire asked as Billie looked a little surprised.
"You'd let me stay the night?" Billie asked, as they both nodded.
"Sure, its the least we can do. And it's pretty late for someone of your age to be driving out and about. You can take the cou-" "She'll sleep in my room with me" The voice of Haley cut off Claire as she rubbed her eyes.
"Uh...now I don't know about-" "Mom, I've stayed over at her place all the time and we cuddle. Trust me, we don't do anything that you're thinking. Especially since Alex will be there too" Haley cut her off, giving her a look as the woman glanced at Billie who looked everywhere but her way. Haley did share a room with Alex, so they really wouldn't be doing anything.
"....Alright, just don't do anything inappropriate please" Claire said as she sighed, with Haley smiling and giving her a soft "Thanks Mom" before getting to her feet and beginning to drag Billie with her towards her room upstairs.
Following Haley, Billie could only chuckle as she heard the whine of Luke as he was woken up by Phil, and she was dragged into her girlfriend's room.
She just hoped that Haley's bed was big enough for the two of them.
