Chapter 1 - Bloodlines Conflict (I)

Canoa Planet

Panther Clan, Inside a garden of a grand spacious mansion, a woman with long raven black hair was resting on a comfy porch swing with her eyes closed while leaning on a man. Her head resting on his broad shoulders.

Both were wearing comfortable loose white robes, togas, that concealed most of their figures, at the same time provided ease in motion.

As the swing swayed gently, the robes fluttered and clung to their skin, highlighting the man's lean build and the woman's pregnancy.

The wind caressed her smooth skin which contrasted sharply against her black hairs and ears while some strands fell on her delicate face giving her a graceful maternity charm.

The man's gaze fell on her beautiful side profile, where the strands fell loose, finding her even more endearing before gently caressing her cheeks and fixing her hair, causing the woman's black fox ear to twitch.

"Cheeky." The woman murmured with her eyes closed while poking the man from the side.

Which caused the man to immediately avert his heated gaze from her face to the beautiful expansive garden. He sighed wistfully, thinking in his heart 'If I could stop time, alas!'

The man had an exoting appearance with silver metallic hair and triangular silver ears, narrow eyes with silver slits in them.

He spoke softly in anticipation "The babies souls are about to form."

While gently placing his hand on the woman's bulging belly.

The woman hummed in comfort and contentment before her brows furrowed in worry.

She slowly opened her large black eyes with azure pupils and questioned :

"Ryon, what did the Elder Elsa say about the boy?" She asked while running her fingers through her hairs.

The previous harmonius and peaceful atmosphere was gone, replaced with tension and a tinge of nervousness.

"Well" he paused before saying "The elders and experts said the bloodlines have nothing much in common and no base for fusion or coexistence. So.. " He paused again not knowing how to break the news.

"So, WHAT?" She asked angrily, now getting annoyed at his evasiveness.

"So the most optimal solution is to go for bloodline mutation at the start of soul formation." He answered smoothly while holding her petite hands reassuringly and providing an alternative truth.

He did not mention the likely scenarios of bloodline conflict resulting in death or mutation going awry.

"HOW can that be the most optimal solution?"

The women said angrily, staring at Ryon in disbelief.

"Lyra, calm down our circumstances are not like that of others besides I have already informed my father" Ryon said calmly trying to reassure and comfort her by softly hugging her.

{ When soul begins to form though you can change a being to a certain extent, it is also the time when the soul and embryo are the most vulnerable.

The resources needed to nurture, protect, change and mutate a bloodline are so precious that even beings who embody laws might not possess them.

The chance of soul dissipation and deformation of embryo are more likely than not guaranteed to occur. So even those who know, do not attempt such a risky venture that demands such rare and valuable even for top powerhouses. }

"What if we remove one or both our bloodlines" she inquired hopefully while giving Ryon a forced smile.

"The bloodlines have seeped into every cells of the baby's embryo, if we remove it forcefully it might damage the embryo" he said while shaking his head.

"Old man told me, he had already found a solution and he'll come in a week judging by the way he never boasts, he'll be here any moment now" he said while narrowing his eyes at the mansion's interior.

'Hmm is he really not here? Or just waiting to embarrass me' Ryon thought familiar with his father's pranks.

"Oh I remember you saying, Elder Zander has a mutated panther bloodline" Lyra suddenly recalls "he must know quite alot about it and has personal experience with mutated bloodlines."

"Yeah, Old man been cooped up studying bloodlines, inscriptions and stuff alot of the times when I needed him" Ryon snorted remembering his younger days.

Lyra noticed his disgruntled look but choose to ignore it and asked "So why not ask him first?"

"I don't trust him" Ryon replied nonchalantly.

Lyra just gave him a look that said I don't believe you, after all if he didn't trust him he wouldn't have asked him for help.

Afterall Ryon had many connections throughout the universe through his business ventures.

"Really, believe me, you have only met him once, the old man's unreliable besides I wanted to do my own research and seek some opinions, what If he harms our baby" Ryon explained seriously.

'Does he think that justifies his spending of enormous resources that can even hire Law transcendent (being who body laws)?'

She knew both her Father in law and husband must have already procured the resources needed for the mutantion before her husband cook up this ruse.

Almost nobody in the universe would not miss a chance to earn a favor from the Panthers Clan with a simple diagnosis through a memory stone.

She gave him a knowning look while a sweet smile graced her lips, as someone who had participated and survived the Empyrean War, she knew exactly what he was trying to hide to not make her feel guilty or burdened by the resources he was spending on their children.

"Hmm" as if realising something she previously overlooked, she abruptly raised her head and looked him in the eyes "Elders and Experts of our clans too?" She queried.

"Yes?" He answered in confusion before continuing "Not only our clans Lyra, but anyone I could reach" He finished in a matter of fact tone.

Lyra's eyes narrowed dangerously and she gave him a sweet smile before saying "So you announced to the whole universe that I am pregnant and the baby has a bloodline conflict."

"Yes, but only because I wanted to find the best solution for our child." Ryon explained thinking she was angry at him for announcing their probem to unrelated strangers.

While forgetting their clans were against their union for this very reason.

Bloodlines conflicts occurs in most children when cross species union happens so it's not looked upon favourably by the sentient bloodline clans.

"Why inform my clan? Did you forget the beatings you suffered back when you married me." She said trying to mask her true worries.

"Oh!" He belatedly realised then shrugged nonchalantly "Doesn't matter now, I am confident that i can exhaust that old geezer."
