Afterward, Syndra stared blankly at the fish bones left in her hands. At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to disappear into the ground.
She had known perfectly well that she wasn't supposed to eat them, yet in the end, she still hadn't resisted the devil's temptation!
Damn it!
She glanced at Luke beside her, who was patting his stomach and letting out a satisfied burp, and her gaze became faintly resentful.
"Don't look at me like that. You were enjoying it even more than I was," Luke said when he noticed her expression.
"But..." Syndra opened her mouth, though there was almost no conviction in her voice.
Seeing that, Luke immediately became even louder.
"Think about it carefully. This was all your fault. If you'd tried your absolute hardest to stop me and seriously warned me, I wouldn't have done it."
Faced with such shameless reasoning, Syndra actually paused.
Then she lowered her head and quietly said, "Mm... I guess it really was my fault..."
Thinking about it, she really did seem to bear most of the responsibility.
If she had managed to persuade Luke, or at the very least resisted her own greed and refused to eat the fish, or simply handled everything a little better, then this mistake never would have happened.
Ultimately, it was her fault.
Luke watched her mood sink and finally seemed to realize what the real problem was.
He leaned closer and lightly flicked her forehead.
"You give up way too fast."
Syndra looked up in confusion.
She had already admitted it was her fault. What else was he expecting?
"You're supposed to argue back. Stand your ground and explain why I'm wrong. Looking at what happened, did you actually do anything wrong?"
Luke met her eyes and continued, "People should learn to look out for themselves a little. Take me, for example. Whenever something goes wrong, the first thing I do is figure out what everyone else did wrong. If there really isn't anything, then dig until you find something. Either way, it definitely isn't my fault. Stop trying to carry every burden by yourself."
Syndra avoided his gaze and lowered her head.
"Everyone says you should help others if you want others to help you."
"And I say you'd better look out for number one, because nobody else is going to do it for you."
Luke chuckled and leaned back against the tree.
"Words like that are all made up by people anyway. In the end, what matters most is whether you're living comfortably."
Syndra had never heard a philosophy like this before.
Ever since she was little, everything she had heard from her parents, elders, and master had been about sacrifice.
Only by wholeheartedly giving everything to others could she earn their goodwill in return.
Seeing her standing there in a daze, Luke reached out and flicked her forehead again.
"Okay. Start over."
Syndra looked confused.
"Start what?"
"Arguing with me again. Find more things I did wrong and firmly defend your position that you did nothing wrong."
Luke spoke calmly.
He looked exactly like a strict teacher waiting for his student to answer.
"Obviously, the problem was..."
"Too quiet. No confidence at all. And when you're talking, look the other person in the eyes. Make them feel your presence."
Syndra had barely managed to force out a few words before Luke mercilessly interrupted her.
She immediately deflated.
"Start over."
"Obviously, the problem was..."
"What problem did I have? Was there a sign here saying fishing was forbidden?"
"No, but..."
"Then there you go. If nothing says I can't fish, how can you blame me? If you'd put up a sign earlier, none of this would've happened."
"But..."
"But what? Why are there so many buts? Isn't that exactly what happened?"
Syndra's ability to argue was genuinely terrible.
Luke leaned against the tree without feeling the slightest pressure.
Being interrupted again and again, unable to get a full sentence out, gradually caused Syndra's small face to redden.
She realized she couldn't argue with Luke at all.
But the more that happened, the less she wanted to give up.
Her fists unconsciously clenched.
She raised her head and looked directly at him.
"That's not what happened..."
Luke casually picked at his ear.
"What didn't happen? How am I supposed to know if you don't explain yourself? I didn't do anything wrong. The one who was wrong was..."
"You were wrong!"
Syndra's face turned bright red as she suddenly shouted.
"I told you last night! You already knew, but you ignored me! Why did you ignore me? Because you did it on purpose! Why are you blaming someone else for not putting up a sign? You're the one who was selfish, rude, reckless, and completely ignored the rules, and then you still tried to blame everyone else! It was your fault! And just because you have a handsome face doesn't mean you can get away with everything!"
Her voice was louder than it had ever been before.
Luke didn't even have an opportunity to interrupt.
After listening to the entire barrage, he smiled.
"All right. It really was my fault. Sorry."
Once he admitted it, Syndra stopped, panting slightly.
For some reason, she suddenly felt incredibly refreshed.
"That's more like it. If something bothers you in the future, say it directly."
Luke knew that reaching this point was already difficult for Syndra.
"You're the classic people-pleaser. You're always thinking about everyone else, automatically bending yourself around what they want and need. Even when you're quietly hurting inside, you just hide it and say nothing. That kind of personality actually makes it easier for people to take advantage of you. Some things shouldn't be buried. It's better to say them openly."
Syndra didn't understand what Luke meant by "people-pleaser," but everything he said afterward sounded uncannily similar to her.
"Enough about that. Want to learn the magic tricks from yesterday?"
Luke changed to a lighter topic.
With a flip of his hand, a deck of playing cards appeared.
Syndra immediately nodded.
She very much wanted to learn.
"In that case, let's first see whether you have the talent for it."
Luke put away the cards and crouched down.
"Do what I'm doing. Draw a square with one hand and a circle with the other at the same time. Finish both simultaneously. It tests coordination between your hands."
Curious, Syndra tried.
"Like this?"
Luke looked over.
To his surprise, she really did complete both motions at the same time.
"That's exactly it. But you can actually do it?"
Syndra tilted her head in confusion.
"Is that difficult?"
It hadn't felt difficult at all.
She simply thought about doing it, and then she did.
"It's difficult for most people."
Luke smiled and explained why coordinating two separate movements at once was normally challenging.
After listening, Syndra wondered whether he was exaggerating.
"It only feels easy because it comes naturally to you. Other people wouldn't feel that way."
Luke looked at her and smiled.
"That proves you're talented. Dual Focus is a skill plenty of people would envy."
Syndra nodded despite not completely understanding.
A faint light flickered in her eyes.
This was the first time anyone had ever told her she was talented.
"Then we'll start from the basics. With your talent, you probably won't have much trouble learning."
Luke had nothing else to do anyway, so he started teaching Syndra magic tricks from the beginning.
Syndra studied extremely seriously and very quickly revealed astonishing talent.
In only a single morning, she had already become surprisingly proficient with playing cards.
Her talent really was ridiculous.
Of course, cards weren't the only tricks Luke knew.
He taught whatever he could, and Syndra copied everything he demonstrated.
Time passed slowly like that.
Before long, four days had gone by.
The sapling Luke had planted had already grown into a sturdy treehouse.
He moved in and even made a complete set of furniture himself.
That was one of the convenient things about living in Ionia.
You didn't have to worry about buying a house.
That morning...
Bang, bang, bang!
Someone pounded roughly on the door.
Syndra woke to the noise.
Outside, dawn had only just begun to brighten the sky.
She got up and opened the door.
Standing outside was Huzhang, the senior disciple and their master's first student.
"What took you so long to open the door?"
Huzhang looked at her with displeasure before immediately giving her an order.
"Take care of sweeping the courtyard for me this morning. I have something to do and need to go out."
His tone left no room for refusal.
For some reason, Syndra remembered Luke calling her a people-pleaser.
She gathered her courage and prepared to refuse.
But Huzhang had already turned around and walked away before giving her a chance to speak.
Syndra watched his retreating back.
In the end, she still couldn't force the words out.
Hadn't it always been like this?
What room did she have to refuse now?
She was the youngest disciple here.
If she didn't want everyone to be disappointed in her, and if she truly wanted to fit into the temple, then she needed to do everything perfectly.
Huzhang disappeared.
Not long afterward, the other two disciples arrived as well.
"The robes that need washing have been piling up for several days. Wash them for me, would you? Thanks."
"Remember to feed the spirit beasts in the rear courtyard. Baishan and I have something to do."
Without allowing any argument, the two dumped more chores onto her.
Then, just like Huzhang, they quickly turned around and left.
In the end, Syndra stood alone in the courtyard.
Some of the light in her eyes dimmed again.
When Luke found her, she was beside a small river on the back mountain.
She had just carried over an entire bucket of clothes and was clumsily scrubbing them.
"I was wondering where you disappeared to. So you came all the way out here."
Luke walked over and glanced at the bucket.
"That's a lot of clothes. How long is it going to take you to wash all of those?"
Syndra didn't quite dare look at him.
"If I wash quickly, I should finish by this afternoon."
"Wait. You're washing all of these by yourself?"
Luke looked at her strangely.
"I remember you have three other disciples around the temple."
"They had things to do, so they asked me to help."
Syndra continued washing as she answered quietly.
"And you just agreed? Have you always been like this?"
Luke crouched down beside her.
Syndra nodded without saying anything.
"I've actually been wondering about this. Why do you put up with everything so obediently? Back in town, you carried all the luggage too. Then when you were almost at the temple, they took the packages and claimed the credit."
Syndra hadn't expected Luke to know about that.
She forced a small smile, almost as though trying to reassure herself.
"Because my parents told me to listen to Master, and Master told me to listen to the others. I'm the youngest, so it's only right that I do these things."
"Who fed you that nonsense?"
Luke raised an eyebrow.
"Or do you actually believe that yourself?"
Syndra didn't answer.
She simply continued scrubbing the clothes in silence.
"You can stop now."
Luke forcibly caught her hand and tossed the garment back into the bucket.
"Tell me right now. Do you actually want to do this, or not?"
Syndra bit her lip.
Then she shook her head.
Luke released her hand.
"Didn't I already tell you? You need to look out for yourself a little. Selfless sacrifice is something heroes do. That garbage about how being the youngest means you should carry everything is complete nonsense."
He continued, "You need to understand one thing first. If everyone expects something from me, then I get to expect something from everyone too."
Syndra quietly listened.
Luke looked at her.
"You're worried that if you refuse, everyone will be disappointed. And if you stop doing these things, you'll ruin the peaceful atmosphere around here, right?"
Syndra nodded.
"So you're planning to silently carry everything yourself and endure it without complaint."
Luke reached over and gently rubbed her head.
"That's exactly what I meant by being a people-pleaser. You care too much about everyone else's feelings, and in the end, you're the only one getting hurt."
"You should remember something. Everyone only gets one life. Why should you always be the one yielding? Even if you refuse, nothing important will actually change. The difference is that you'll finally be choosing something that makes you feel better."
Syndra looked confused.
"What should I do?"
Luke thought for a moment.
"Don't do any of the chores they dumped on you today. Tomorrow, just do exactly what I tell you."
Syndra looked at him.
After a moment, she nodded.
The next day...
Bang, bang, bang!
The pounding on the door came again.
This time, Syndra was prepared.
She opened the door.
As expected, all three disciples were standing outside with unpleasant expressions.
Huzhang immediately began questioning her.
"Why didn't you sweep the courtyard yesterday when I told you to?"
"And why are those clothes still untouched?"
"You didn't feed the spirit beasts either. Master scolded me because of you!"
"Syndra, what were you thinking?"
The three immediately launched into accusations without giving her any chance to speak.
Syndra quietly listened until they finished.
Seeing that she apparently had nothing to say, Huzhang snapped impatiently, "Go sweep the courtyard now, then feed the spirit beasts and wash the clothes. Don't make us..."
"No."
Before he could finish, Syndra's voice suddenly cut him off.
Huzhang froze.
"What did you say?"
This time, Syndra raised her head and looked directly into his eyes.
"I said no! I'm not doing your chores for you anymore!"
All three froze.
For a moment, they didn't know how to react.
Was this really the same Syndra who usually endured everything and was so easy to bully?
Why was her voice suddenly so loud?
Where had that confidence come from?
They stared at her as though seeing a stranger.
Huzhang recovered first.
"You think saying no is enough? You're the youngest disciple here. These chores are supposed to be yours!"
Baishan immediately agreed.
"That's right. We all went through this ourselves. Now it's your turn to face the same test."
Meiwu nodded.
"We only give these tasks to you because we value you."
"I refuse."
Syndra answered decisively again.
The three were briefly stunned once more.
"Being valued by you doesn't benefit me at all. I think you should keep these tests for yourselves."
Huzhang immediately became furious.
"You've really gotten out of control! You don't even listen to your senior disciples anymore?"
"So what if I don't?" Syndra answered immediately. "Are you going to kill me?"
Her eyes remained completely steady as she stared at him.
"You've got some nerve!"
Huzhang raised his hand in fury, but Baishan and Meiwu hurriedly grabbed him.
They dragged him farther away and began whispering.
"Did you forget Master's warning?"
"That's right. Master specifically said we weren't allowed to hurt her."
"Forget it. We've already pushed her around for long enough."
After several rounds of persuasion, Huzhang finally remembered the warning their master had given the three of them on Syndra's very first day.
But after discovering just how easy she was to bully, they had gradually forgotten all about it.
Now, they suddenly remembered.
"Hmph!"
Huzhang snorted in frustration.
He glanced back at Syndra one last time before leaving with the other two.
Watching them disappear, Syndra finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She couldn't help placing a hand against her chest.
Her heart was still pounding violently.
No one knew how nervous she had been, or how much mental preparation it had taken for her to say those words.
She had even prepared herself to be hit.
Yet unexpectedly, the three had simply left.
Were they going to report her to Master?
But thinking about it carefully, those chores had originally belonged to them anyway.
What could reporting her possibly accomplish?
In any case, Syndra had never expected the result to be this smooth.
By the time she ran to the back mountain, excitement had painted a faint flush across her small face.
She eagerly told Luke the good news.
Luke smiled.
"See? I told you. They only bullied you because you acted weak. The moment you became firm, nothing happened."
Syndra happily nodded.
"Then they probably won't make me do their chores anymore. It's finally over!"
"No."
Luke shook his head.
"It isn't over."
Syndra immediately looked confused.
"What isn't over?"
"This was only the beginning."
Luke smiled.
"Your comeback."
"You've already shown the first stage, refusing to be pushed around. Now it's time for the second step."
Luke continued, "I'm going to teach you one of the most unchanging truths in the world. Strength."
"If you're strong enough, people really won't dare bully you. In the end, strength is what makes your words carry weight."
Syndra still looked somewhat confused.
"Just follow what I tell you. You've learned magic before, right?"
Syndra shook her head.
"Master hasn't taught me yet."
"That's fine. I'll teach you a couple of things. With your talent, you'll pick them up quickly."
Luke simply smiled.
Early the next morning, Huzhang, Baishan, and Meiwu were discussing where they should go have fun that day.
Then they saw Syndra approaching.
She walked straight over and stopped in front of them.
The three looked at her in confusion.
Syndra raised her head and stared directly at them.
"You three can do my chores today."
The three of them stared at her.
What?
Had the entire world flipped upside down?
They hadn't gone looking for her, yet she had actually come looking for them?
The corner of Huzhang's mouth twitched.
"What did you say? I don't think I heard you clearly."
Syndra calmly repeated herself.
"I'm leaving my chores to the three of you today."
"Hahaha, Syndra, you've learned how to joke now."
Baishan laughed, assuming her changing personality had simply made her more playful.
Syndra calmly said, "I'm serious."
The smile disappeared from Baishan's face.
Huzhang snorted.
"And what if we refuse?"
"You won't."
Syndra confidently shook her head.
Meiwu asked with some interest, "Why not?"
"Because I'll beat you until you stop refusing."
Syndra stumbled slightly over the words.
She had never said anything like that before.
Wasn't that a little too arrogant?
For a moment, silence followed.
Then the three laughed as though they had heard the funniest joke in the world.
But there was no amusement in their laughter.
"You really have lost your mind!"
Huzhang laughed in anger.
"You're only a nominal disciple of this temple, and you dare talk to us like that?"
He no longer cared about their master's warning.
With a wave of his hand, he used magic to pull a wooden staff from beside the wall.
"No matter what happens today, I'm teaching you a lesson. Otherwise, you'll forget how to respect those above you."
The corner of Syndra's mouth curved upward.
"With your level of skill, what makes you think you deserve my respect?"
"Oh, really? Don't start crying later!"
Huzhang took a quick step forward and charged.
The staff came down without mercy.
He had expected Syndra to dodge.
Instead, she remained exactly where she was.
That caused the staff he had swung with full strength to hesitate for just an instant.
But whether he hesitated or not made no difference.
Syndra merely raised one hand.
Magic surged outward and immediately wrapped around Huzhang's staff, stealing control of it from him.
Huzhang stared in shock as the staff tore itself from his grip.
It hovered sideways in midair.
Then, under Syndra's control, it flew directly back toward him.
Before he could react, it smacked him on the head.
Not especially hard.
Not especially soft.
But the sound was wonderfully crisp.
"Damn it!"
Huzhang grew even angrier.
The next second, however, the staff mercilessly came down again.
Then again.
His body simply couldn't withstand it.
He could only dodge continuously, becoming more and more disheveled.
Seeing Baishan and Meiwu still standing there in shock, he roared, "What are you idiots staring at?! Help me! If we don't deal with her today, no one will ever control her again!"
The two finally recovered.
They immediately circulated their magic, pulled over wooden staffs of their own, and rushed at Syndra.
Syndra merely glanced at them.
Then she seized control of those staffs as well.
She simultaneously manipulated all three wooden staffs with magic.
There wasn't even the slightest delay.
The three disciples were beaten so thoroughly that they barely had a chance to fight back.
Syndra herself found it unbelievable.
The method Luke had taught her was so extraordinary.
She could actually control her magic this easily.
If the method was this simple, why had Master never taught her?
Meanwhile, the three boys were shocked and furious.
They couldn't believe it.
The Syndra who had always been so weak-willed and easy to bully was actually this powerful?
Once Syndra felt that they had been beaten enough, she stopped.
"Any objections now?"
Huzhang, Baishan, and Meiwu were all bruised and swollen.
They stared at Syndra with a mixture of fear and rage before resorting to their final weapon.
"Just wait! We're going to get Master!"
The three turned and fled.
Syndra remained where she was.
A trace of panic flashed through her heart.
Then she remembered Luke's words and gathered her courage, quietly waiting.
Before long, the three returned with Konigen.
"Master, she did this!"
Apparently, they had already explained the situation along the way.
Huzhang pointed at Syndra with an aggrieved expression.
"The three of you were bullied by her alone?"
Konigen found it difficult to believe.
More than anything, however, he felt disappointed.
He had taught these three students for years, yet all three were somehow weaker than Syndra, someone who supposedly knew almost nothing about controlling magic?
The three never noticed the disappointment in Konigen's eyes.
They merely looked slightly embarrassed.
Konigen turned toward Syndra with an extremely serious expression.
"Who taught you to control magic like that? I don't remember teaching you these things."
Syndra answered honestly.
"Master, I don't think those techniques really required anyone to teach me."
Konigen froze.
But he didn't continue questioning her.
Instead, he asked, "The three of them claim that you tried to force them to do chores that belonged to you. Is that true?"
Syndra shook her head.
"I was only walking along when they stopped me. Maybe they were angry because I refused their orders yesterday. We argued, and things eventually became physical."
She deliberately left out most of the details.
The instant she finished speaking, Huzhang and the others stared at her with wide eyes.
She was lying!
Syndra was lying!
Syndra actually knew how to lie!
They immediately looked toward Konigen, desperate to explain the situation again.
But Konigen seemed distracted by something else.
He frowned slightly.
"Regardless of what happened, you disrespected those above you and injured others. You were wrong first."
"Stand in the courtyard as punishment for the entire morning. This matter ends here."
Then he looked toward the other three.
"As for you, copy the introductory scripture ten times."
All three froze.
They hadn't expected this outcome at all.
Syndra immediately answered, "Yes, Master. I accept the punishment."
The other three could only reluctantly accept theirs as well.
They couldn't believe their master had somehow been fooled by such an obvious lie.
But Konigen didn't think Syndra was lying.
After all, during the three years she had lived at the temple, he had always known that Huzhang and the others bullied her.
He simply had never interfered.
In his view, if their treatment made Syndra's personality weaker and more submissive, that was actually beneficial.
But now, it seemed things had gone in the exact opposite direction.
Before leaving, he asked, "Have you been drinking the medicine I prescribed every day? And have you neglected your training?"
Syndra found the question strange, but still answered, "I haven't neglected it. I drink the medicine every day as well."
"Is that so? Then go serve your punishment."
Konigen glanced at her but said nothing more.
He simply turned and walked away.
Even under these circumstances, she had somehow figured out how to control her magic on her own.
It was almost incomprehensible.
Watching him leave, Syndra immediately turned toward Huzhang and the others.
She gave them a friendly smile.
The three froze and shuddered.
For some reason, they suddenly had a terrible feeling.
Sure enough.
Once Syndra finished standing as punishment, she went looking for the three again.
She smiled brightly and cheerfully.
"I'll leave my chores to the three of you."
Huzhang and the others immediately clenched their teeth.
"I'm warning you, don't push this too far!"
"You're really taking advantage of us now!"
"Are you seriously never going to stop?"
The three glared angrily at Syndra.
"How strange."
Syndra kept smiling.
"Isn't this exactly what you used to do to me? Why is it suddenly unacceptable now that the situation is reversed?"
As she spoke, she stepped forward.
An inexplicable pressure radiated from her.
"I am going to push it further. So what?"
Her smile deepened.
"Looks like one beating wasn't enough."
The faint threat in her voice was obvious to anyone.
Huzhang and the others exchanged glances.
Then they gritted their teeth.
"Get her!"
The three charged Syndra at once, hoping to catch her off guard.
But Syndra had already prepared herself.
She waved one hand.
Three wooden staffs immediately shot into the air.
Under the terrified gazes of the three disciples, they came crashing down.
Unsurprisingly, another beating followed.
Once again, the incident reached Konigen.
He looked at the three disciples who had come complaining, then at Syndra standing alone on the other side.
Konigen sighed softly.
"Syndra, you tell me. Is what they said true?"
Syndra forced a miserable smile.
"Let's just say it is."
The three stared at her in disbelief.
What did she mean, "let's just say it is"?
It was true!
Also, she definitely hadn't been smiling like that a moment ago!
Konigen frowned.
"What do you mean, 'let's just say it is'? Something is either true or false. Do you think I would accuse you unfairly? Tell me exactly what happened."
Syndra lowered her head.
Her voice became subdued.
"Perhaps because of what happened this morning, the three of them were still angry with me. So this afternoon, they tried approaching me from behind, but I noticed them first."
The three disciples' eyes grew wider and wider.
Huzhang finally exploded.
"That's complete nonsense! You were the one who came looking for us!"
Baishan hurriedly turned toward Konigen.
"Master, she's lying!"
Meiwu nodded frantically.
Yes, Master!
She was acting!
Don't fall for it!
All three screamed internally, desperately wishing they could expose Syndra's true nature right there.
It was all an act!
But at that moment, Konigen found himself leaning toward Syndra's version of events.
The reason was simple.
Throughout the three years Syndra had lived at the temple, she had always been the one bullied.
For the situation to suddenly reverse so completely seemed unlikely.
So, judging from the circumstances, Huzhang and the others had probably started the trouble themselves, only to discover that they were no match for Syndra.
Listening to the three of them argue loudly, Konigen suddenly felt exhausted.
He impatiently rubbed his brow.
"I'm busy preparing for my breakthrough. The three of you need to behave yourselves and stop causing trouble."
"This matter ends here. If anything like this happens again, don't bring it before me."
His final words carried unmistakable anger.
These three students were simply too disappointing.
The three froze again.
They hadn't expected Konigen to say something like that.
So that was it?
The matter was just over?
After speaking, Konigen stood and immediately left the main hall.
That left four people silently standing behind.
Huzhang and the others couldn't help looking toward Syndra.
Syndra looked right back at them.
Then she smiled.
Her lips silently formed the words:
I'll leave it to you three.
The three shuddered.
Only fear and despair remained in their eyes.
Some instinct told them that after this day, they might never have another chance to turn things around.
Syndra remembered the story Luke had told her about the boy who cried wolf.
The corners of her lips rose.
When she left the main hall and sunlight spilled over her, she looked at Huzhang and the others silently beginning to sweep the courtyard.
For the first time in her life, Syndra felt this unbelievably satisfied.
A tingling thrill spread throughout her chest.
The sensation was so enjoyable that her entire body seemed to come alive.
So this was what it felt like.
It was wonderful.
At that moment, it was as though a door to an entirely new world had opened before her.
She seemed like a completely different person.
Her steps were no longer timid.
Her silver hair no longer hid her face.
Her eyes now shone brightly, and her entire mood felt unbelievably light.
Excited, she ran toward the back mountain and told Luke everything while he sat there grilling fish.
"So how does it feel?" Luke asked with a smile.
"I've never felt anything like this before."
Syndra placed a hand against her chest, still smiling.
"I feel so light. So happy."
"Exactly. At the end of the day, what matters is making sure you're comfortable with your own life."
Luke reached out and gently rubbed her head.
Syndra quietly enjoyed the moment.
The large hand resting on her head felt incredibly warm.
Then she noticed the grilled fish in Luke's hand.
Her expression immediately changed.
"Why are you grilling fish again?!"
"No one's going to notice a few missing."
Luke genuinely thought the spirit fish here tasted excellent when grilled.
He happily lifted one.
"There's one for you too. Today deserves a celebration."
