At that moment, a brilliant golden light suddenly pierced through the blue sky and white clouds, reflecting directly in front of David's eyes.

Then, a familiar sound echoed in his mind.

[Congratulations to the host for obtaining... Incomplete Ancient Scroll · (Agile Style)...]

Seeing the golden light finally appear before him, David's heart settled with relief. Thank Arceus! At least nothing had gone wrong this time. An Ancient Scroll? Agile Style? Could it really be... Without wasting another second, David immediately began examining the items from his ten-pull gacha.

First came the Ancient Gold Coins and Palace Incense Burners—both white-tier items. These ancient artifacts were all common-grade pieces, and aside from their exquisite appearance, they held no special properties. At most, they had some collection value for enthusiasts.

After examining them briefly, David found they felt similar to the ones he kept at home. He promptly stored all these items in his system space, where they would likely gather dust.

Next were the Revival Herb and Energy Root—relatively rare medicinal herbs with significant healing and recovery effects. Though the quantity was somewhat small, they were still quite valuable.

Finally, David looked curiously at the remaining items: a leek and a fossil. He scratched his head in confusion. How could these things possibly be classified as rare-tier items?

[Carefully Selected Leek: A weapon meticulously chosen by a Sirfetch'd knight from the Galar region, only to be lost one day for unknown reasons. This leek is perfectly formed, tender and crisp, with a rich leek aroma—a rare and high-quality food... Ahem, no, weapon.]

[Unidentified Fossil: An item unearthed by an explorer from ancient ruins in an unknown land, formed by a large accumulation of fragmented fossils and sediment. Before proper decomposition and identification, no one can determine if it contains a complete fossil...]

As David read through the system's descriptions, he could practically see the ellipsis marks appearing over his head. The system clearly wanted to call it an "ingredient" instead of a weapon!

The fossil was definitely useless for now—he'd need proper equipment to analyze it. As for this leek? Well, he'd have to think carefully about its potential uses.

But none of that mattered at the moment. David stored all these miscellaneous items in his system space, took a deep breath, and finally turned his attention to his most important acquisition.

[Incomplete Ancient Scroll · (Agile Style): A special Pokemon technique passed down from the ancient Sinnoh region (Hisui region). The complete manual consists of two parts: the Strong Style Scroll and the Agile Style Scroll... Agile Style Scroll: A Pokemon learning this technique can choose to quickly unleash a move by reducing its power, thereby gaining the speed advantage and moving first...]

David carefully read through the entire introduction. As expected, his guess had been correct—the legendary item from this ten-pull was indeed the Agile Style technique from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

"However, it's unfortunate that I only drew half of the scroll—just the Agile Style portion. The Strong Style part is still missing," David muttered to himself, his expression showing slight disappointment.

Still, if just half of the scroll could be rated as a golden legendary item by the system, then this technique must be truly exceptional.

Strong Style and Agile Style were new battle mechanics introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The former significantly increased a move's power but also reduced the Pokemon's action speed, making it slower to execute. The latter allowed a Pokemon to quickly execute a move to gain the initiative in battle, though the trade-off was reduced power compared to the standard version.

David finally understood why this Agile Style scroll had been rated as a legendary item by the system.

Unlike a Technical Machine that could only be used once before disappearing, this Ancient Scroll merely recorded the training method for learning the Agile Style technique, along with instructions for preparing and using the accompanying resources. In the original game, Strong Style and Agile Style were activated using items called Seed of Mastery from an NPC, but this system had adapted the concept slightly for practical use.

Therefore, while it couldn't instantly teach a Pokemon the technique, it didn't have the limitation of vanishing after a single use. This meant that not only could David's own Pokemon learn it, but if he chose to, he could also teach the technique to others.

Such a scroll could serve as either a treasured family heirloom passed down through generations, or as the foundation for establishing his own training school specializing in Agile Style techniques. Either option would be an excellent choice for the future.

With all his gains properly sorted and stored, David, his spirits lifted by such fortunate results, finally drifted off into a contented sleep.

For the next several days, David took his little Vulpix and Growlithe around Imperial City for leisurely exploration. Apart from maintaining their basic training regimen—something both Pokemon had specifically requested—all other time was dedicated to rest and recreation.

Previously, it had been nothing but training sessions and competition matches, keeping him busy from dawn to dusk. Now that the tournament had finally concluded, shouldn't they enjoy themselves thoroughly? Time to relax and unwind!

As for himself, besides resting these past days, David spent his free time studying the Agile Style scroll in depth. As the crystallization of ancient Hisuian people's wisdom, it proved far more complex than he'd initially expected.

This scroll didn't simply record the method for learning Agile Style. It documented the entire journey—from the technique's origin and initial development, through its modification and refinement by generations of Hisuian Trainers (though they might not have used that exact title back then), to its final perfected form. The text even touched upon various aspects of Hisuian history and ancient traditions.

The scroll recorded the complete past and present of the Agile Style technique—its development, evolution, and all related historical accounts. It even connected to certain ancient Sinnoh secrets and mysteries that had been lost to time.

These were invaluable insights that money simply couldn't buy, which explained why the system had classified it as a legendary-tier item.

David didn't find the content boring in the slightest. On the contrary, he read through it with genuine fascination and interest, absorbing every detail.

During such peaceful and leisurely days, summer vacation finally drew to a close. Tomorrow would mark the first day of the new school semester.

In his family's manor, David was making preparations for the upcoming school term.

"Hmm... I should take this, and that too..." he murmured to himself while moving around his room.

With the assistance of both Indeedee—the male and female pair that helped manage the household—David carefully packed everything he would need. Once school started, he would definitely be living in his dormitory, his own little space, and likely wouldn't return home for an extended period. That meant there were numerous items to gather and pack properly.

Getting everything ready now would save him from making additional trips later.

For instance, David prepared a three-month supply of custom Pokemon food for his two partners—Zorua and Riolu. That wasn't even counting the many other miscellaneous items he needed. When everything was pieced together, the supplies filled three spatial backpacks completely.

Thanks to the specialized technology of the Pokemon world, a small backpack could store an enormous amount of items through spatial compression. Otherwise, transporting everything would have been quite troublesome indeed!

When he was younger and watching the anime series, David had always been fascinated by Brock's seemingly bottomless backpack that could somehow hold cooking pots, pans, tents, sleeping bags, and everything else imaginable. He'd never imagined he would one day be using something similar himself.

"Thank you so much, Indeedee!" David called out gratefully.

"Goodbye! I'll see you again soon."

With the Indeedee's efficient help, all his items were properly packed and loaded. David climbed into the waiting car, leaned out through the window, and waved goodbye to the two Pokemon standing in the doorway.

"Dee~!" both Indeedee responded, waving their small arms back at David as the car began pulling away from the manor.
