Chapter 51 - I am tired Boss. I want a Break (Again)

Since I got myself in a shitty situation with this cold of mine (it turned out worse). I am in no mood to write since I feel lethargic and my sinuses feel like an endless fountain of snot and mucus.

I feel like shit. I even got myself a sick leave from work until next week.

On another note, there's been a new addition of readers blasting my notifications. That's good news, only if they wouldn't be bitching about MC being stupid (I know he's stupid and an idiot, okay? I wrote him. Ohh, and continue roasting the MC and myself. My Ego is zero.)

Or saying that the quality of the story has gotten worse as we go with the story. Has it really gotten for the shitters and I was oblivious? Or is just them tripping balls because of whatever expectations of edgy MCs they had in their mind (overall, is a thing outside of my control).

What I can control instead is the direction of the story.

And this is why, I would like to remind you, precious readers of mine (the vocal ones or those enjoying memeing (is this even a word?lol) and commenting randomly (I like you very much, thank you!) and with those silent ones (come on brah, at least make a minute effort of commenting at the end of the chapter, spam EXP for all I care =)), don't just jump to the next read like a ninja, so I don't feel like shit at each chapter that I post) to comment and show their support for the project.

Overall, I have not reached the point where I can monetize jackshit out of this story, because my stash of chapters is apparently on (-1). If I had gotten some freshly squeezed dollars or euros I wouldn't feel like crap based on the low engagement situation, but since I am not in that situation, I would like you to change a bit.

This is why, the engagement of the community we got here is a must to keep the interest from both me, the author, and you, the readers alive.

I did notice the decrease in people commenting and is bothersome to say the least.

I'll start babbling, as my ibuprofen is running low, and I will need a new dose. The reason most fanfics on this platform die down (this is strictly my opinion) is because of low engagement from community (like, can you imagine? You spend your time writing and only a ghost/bot reads it? It's getting boring and stale after a while) or when you reach a writers block (you can't continue with the next arc of your story and just quit entirely and jump to a new project). I am in the first category, once I notice that my story is losing engagement, there's not even a rally to tell me my story is getting into trash, change things up bro, I tend to quit as I have other things going in my life, especially now as an 'Adult' (Fuck me, I want to be a stupid kid once again)

So yeah, comment, say what you like, what you hate about the story, what you think might work better, appreciate the work that goes into writing the story. Afterall, everything is free, nothing is under a paywall.

Okay, that was my bedridden rant on my phone, as I am trying to blow my snot for the 100th time today.

Hate it, love it, both can lead to engagement and help the story out.

On my end note, stay safe bros and sisters (???), for those in West EU, get your sun lotions and bottles of waters ready and don't get respawned because of the sun. In the next couple of days the rest of EU will be baked, I'm cooked. I myself got fucked by too much air conditioning since I work in freezing conditions and here are the consequences, sinusitis (yeeepe).

P.S: VOTE > COMMENT > REPEAT (That's the new mantra)

Peace out!
