Chapter 15 - Rune of Shadows

[Fallen Rune: Rune of Shadows]

Lenny's eyes gleamed with excitement as he stared at this information, he had three reasons why this decision was made.

The first reason was that both his primary and secondary Fallen Runes weren't linked with any Fallen Path.

This proves that he wasn't something that was meant to exist in the first place.

He's an anomaly.

If he were to create two more Fallen Paths for his Fallen Runes, then they would be the Reality Path and the Death Path.

He had to hide the idea of possessing two Divine rank Fallen Runes from the world, especially from the rulers of the Great Houses.

The second reason was his affinity for the Shadow Path.

As a descendant of the Great House Night, the Shadow Path flows through his veins.

He believes it will be easy for him to master Shadow Path Fallen Runes and permanently record them.

If possible, he could even imagine all his family's Fallen Runes and master every single one of them.

He's certainly going to become the strongest Night to ever exist.

The third reason was to remain underestimated, to hide his presence from a certain individual.

To make it look like he had no potential.

That was why this Imagination of his was the perfect bait, to make sure they consider him weak yet possess the potential to be stronger.

Lenny lay back on his seat, his eyes narrowed as he read through his newly imagined Fallen Rune's information.

"Shadow Clone," Lenny whispered. He breathed in deeply, "My shadow is me, what does that mean?" He asked.

The black tattoo of the Fallen Rune flickered on his neck.

He softly exhaled, gently closing his eyes.

At first, his shadow flickered beneath him.

[Rune Mastery: 1%]

Despite its Rare rank, Lenny didn't require a large sum of Mana Aptitude to gain control of his Fallen Rune.

In fact, he couldn't run out of mana since his Mana Aptitude is Passive.

Lenny could feel his shadow condensing; it was as if a force was pulling it away from him.

[Rune Mastery: 3%]

Lenny frown deepened as he struggled to balance his mana with the overwhelming pressure he was feeling.

His shadow rippled once again, taking a humanoid form. It stood before him, frozen.

[Rune Mastery: 5%]

Lenny slowly opened his eyes, seeing his shadow stand before him, he gave out a satisfactory smile.

He folded his arms, "This is a good start" He sighed, "I've disconnected my shadow from me and transformed it into another living entity"

"Let's see if it could take my form," He said, and it did.

[Rune Mastery: 10%]

With just a simple command given, the shadow mirrored the form of Lenny's shape.

Lenny was startled. He blinked for a moment. "It's like I'm staring at my own reflection," He giggled.

Indeed, his shadow's transformation was extremely identical to him. Lenny felt satisfied.

"Nice work." A clap resonated behind him. Lenny turned to see the young boy smiling sheepishly.

He grinned, "Do you like it?" Lenny asked, the boy nodded as he drew closer, "Sure" He answered.

"The Rune Class: Shadow Clone was once in the hands of the 15th Patriarch of House Night"

"He died three hundred years ago, but his Fallen Rank was of the Mythical rank I must say"

"Shadow Clones could mimic the master, even possessing his intelligence, it could communicate and help you when necessary"

"It also mirrors the master's abilities perfectly, making it a second you as well" The boy explained.

He sighed deeply, "Too sad yours is of the Rare rank" He added.

Lenny's grin broadened even more, "Well it's true it's currently of the Rare rank but each time I evolve or level up"

"The Fallen Ranks of my Imaginations increases as well, it will be of the Mythical rank one day"

"Even surpass it and reach Demigod" Lenny bragged. The boy scoffed, "Yeah right, It would have been better if I were the only one left alive"

"Leaving this power in your hands is….." The boy paused for a moment.

Lenny couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, "It's what?" He asked.

The boy waved his hand, "Nothing, you're just too mentally unstable for this terrifying power," He answered.

Lenny chuckled, "Yeah, that's true. It's what scares me the most, but does that really matter?" Lenny asked.

"You are dead, and I'm still alive, even possessing two Fallen Runes of the Divine rank," He giggled.

The boy shrugged, "Hmph, I may be dead but won't stay dead for long tho" He whispered.

Lenny was pleased with his newly added Fallen Rune, he was going to take his time mastering it.

While the shadow clone stood frozen.

His attention drifted towards the remains, he was going to spend some time studying the Regulator's society before descending into the Fallen Realm.

Not just the restricted First Apocalypse but the true Fallen Realm.

The main game.

He will need to be anchored to a Sanctuary on his descent or else he will be thrown randomly into the Fallen Realm.

This meant he'll need to join a party and be temporarily anchored to the guild they are under or enter a guild himself.

Guilds were a form of agency and for them to be licensed on Earth, they must have secured a Sanctuary in the Fallen Realm.

Sanctuaries were safety zones created by the Fallen System; their size differs, ranging from hundreds of meters or several kilometers.

Taking the form of a small town while Great Sanctuaries were the size of cities. Sanctuaries were linked to a single master.

Once it has a master, a barrier would encompass its surroundings, blocking Apocalypse creatures from nearing its walls.

This is why Sanctuaries were important, the Fallen Realm was considered to be a hundred times the size of Earth.

So it had more than a thousand Sanctuaries.

While there are Sanctuaries, there are also Great Sanctuaries, All Sanctuaries were linked to Great Sanctuaries.

Twelve of the fifteen discovered Great Sanctuaries were actually owned by the twelve Great Houses.

With one being owned by the Government and another being controlled by the top ten Guilds in the Association.

The last Great Sanctuary vanished after Great House Night fell.

It's existencwas e completely erased.

Lenny was planning to descend into the Fallen Realm in a few days, he needed to act fast.

He went ahead to complete his information on the website.

Adding the Shadow Path Fallen Rune: Rune of Shadows as his primary Fallen Rune.

And it's Rune Class: Shadow Clone.

Since he's a Fallen Regulator, he had received a secondary Fallen Rune so he needed to add another imagined Fallen Rune.

He added a Healing Path Fallen Rune: Rune of Revival.

It's Rune Class: Self Regeneration.

Lenny already had the edge in the Fallen Realm

What made the Fallen Realm so dangerous was that if a Fallen Regulator died in the Fallen Realm.

They'll be erased from existence.

Lenny's currently deathless, but he doubts his Divine rank, Fallen Run, granted him regeneration ability.

He simply couldn't die.

So what happens if he were beheaded?

Would he stay headless then? He needed a support type Fallen Rune, one of the Healing Path.

This was why he chose the Rune of Revival.

Now that his information was complete, he uploaded it. Patiently waiting as they load.

He went straight to the Association's official website and quickly put himself up for hire.

Lenny exhaled a soft sigh, "It's done, all I have to do is wait for…." Before Lenny could complete his statement.

He received a notification alert on his laptop.

His eyes widened in shock, "Already?" He was flabbergasted, it seems he had underestimated the dire need for Fallen Regulators.

It didn't take him a minute before a raid party made their approach to hire him..
