The Gentle Dragon & The Battle Vixens 27

Haru's eyes suddenly snapped open and shot up in bed. He looked around and saw he was back in his room at Koukin's house. He was slightly sad that he wasn't in the room he dreamt of but he didn't know why. He never seen that room before or those two people in his life but yet he felt as though he knew them. But why?

"Haru never had that dream before and it felt so real. And those two people… it feels like Haru knows them. And that boy… was that Haru?" He asks himself.

It was a mystery indeed; it seems that not only he was getting powers after he learned he was a dragon but now dreams of a life he might have. Though he was still not convinced, he learned early on to take in stride what to believe and what to push aside as bullshit. For him, he needs proof to believe. So for now Haru let it be and get ready for the day ahead. Since Goei had insisted that Haru should get rid of his tattered and old ones as they are not worth a damn so they gave him a new set of clothing till they can go cloths shopping. Haru put on a regular white t-shirt and blue pants. They were a tad big like the other set they let him use the other time but he didn't mind. Haru made his way to the dining room and saw Goei, Ignir, and Laufey were eating at the table.

"Good morning." Haru spoke.

"Aw good morning young master, I see we're looking better today?" Ignir said and Haru nodded.

"Yes where is Koukin and Hakufu?"

"Oh those two had to leave for school early for something, didn't say what though. But I'm sure it's just to get a head start of the day." Goei said.

"And speaking of the schools and them, what manner is this 'turf war' I've been hearing about? It seems the majority of the high schools are in this but yet it seems to hold a deeper meaning than what the surface tells, can you elaborate to us the real significance to all of this?" Laufey asks.

"I guess it's fair to tell you our trouble since you not only reveal yours but save our lives as well. Over 1800 years ago in China a war raged through the country. It was a bloody, merciless, and unforgiving war where battle after battle took the lives of so many warriors. The war was so intense that it is still going on today with the children going through the same path their ancestors walked through and will meet the same fate… I tried to alter my daughter's fate by making her do tea ceremonies and flower arrangements but she's so horrible at it. And the spirit inside taunts her to find battle every turn she makes. I'm at my wits end, I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm afraid I'll lose my girl so soon. I don't think I can handle barring another loved one again." Goei said with some tears coming down her face.

She felt something soft on her cheeks as she open her eyes to see Haru was wiping her tears with a tissue he got. Haru didn't want to see her sad, even though she has every right to be sad.

"Please don't cry Miss Goei, Haru doesn't like it when Miss Goei is sad. Haru will try to help save Hakufu and the others somehow, even if Haru doesn't know how but will find a way. Haru promise." He said with a kind smile.

"Oh that's so sweet of you Haru-kun, come here you." Goei engulfed him in a big hug.

Haru was cut off guard by the sudden hug but he quickly hugged back. Haru found that he really liked being hugged as it always give him a warm feeling everytime someone hugs him. It made him feel so wanted and loved. Plus in the farthest corner of his mind he really likes where his head goes every time the girls hug him. Course he never says it out loud or admits it as he didn't want to be labeled a pervert like Saji is.

"If you're really serious about this young master then it's time for you to train." Ignir spoke up.

"Training?" Haru asks letting go of the hug.

"Yes, now that you learn of your heritage you must now be taught in the ways of our kind if you will have any chance in defeating Crnobog and his allies."

"You think he'll come back?" Goei asks.

"He will return and this go around he won't underestimate the child. He'll bring in more Dread Guards and whatever in order to either get to him or kill him so it is imperative that you start your training to learn to control and master your powers Haru." Laufey said.

"… But… Haru doesn't want to fight… or become that… thing again. Everytime Haru turns into the Kanto Beast, Haru kills… Haru doesn't want to shed any more blood than Haru has already. Isn't there another peaceful way?" Haru asks.

"I'm afraid not, our enemies will show no mercy nor peace with us and neither will we. They have done many horrible things in the past when and after your families death. And young one, this Kanto Beast thing is only a last resort method you made in order for you to survive when it counts. With our training you will shed the Kanto Beast stage and become the dragon we know you were ment to be, but we can only do this if you let us help you."

Haru sat there and thought about what Laufey said. The idea of hurting others, even if it is Crnobog, was something he wasn't into at all. All his life he never wanted to hurt anyone even if they hurt him, physically or mentally. And turning into the beast just made things worse for his already shitty life. But if he can actually remove the beast from within than he was all for it. And now knowing he was actually a dragon is a pretty cool thing to him. He always thought dragons were the coolest creatures ever and being one was just plain awesome. Plus if Haru really wanted to change his friends fates than he'll need to train to control his powers. Haru was conflicted about this, fight and shed more blood or rid himself of the Kanto Beast and save his friends.

"Can Haru think it over? Haru needs time to figure out what Haru really wants. Haru will give you an answer tonight." He spike up.

"Very well, and please think this through very carefully. Once you make a decision about this there is no turning back, understand?" Ignir said.

"Haru does."

"Now that's settle for now, I'll whip you up something to eat Haru-kun. Go wash up and I'll get your breakfast." Goei said.

"Ok." Haru headed to the bathroom to do as he was told.

"What a sweet child he is… it breaks my heart to see that he must learn to kill in order to survive." Goei sighed.

"It's how our race is, if we are threaten we acted accordingly to said threat and it mean we must kill to do that than we will, it's the same for any species on this planet including humans. And Haru must learn to be a dragon after years of thinking he was human." Laufey said.

"I know but he's still a child… even though he's older than me. I still can't believe that he's over 400 years old, makes me feel so young." She said and can't help but smile a little.

"Humans and their fear of growing old, how typical." Ignir smirked.

"I don't have a fear of growing old, I just don't like being called old. I'm only 35, that's not old." Goei huffed.

"If you say so, to us anything below a hundred years we consider very young." Laufey shrugged, taking a sip of her tea.

"… Oh, I see. But I have a question, do you think what Haru said was true? That he can save my daughter from her fate? I don't want to put that kind of pressure on him and make him think he has a chance when none of us couldn't do it."

"You stated that your fate is sealed so that no one can alter it no matter what, no human can at least. But since Haru is not human and is a dragon plus he is not part of this 'destiny' thing, he can. We'll still need more information on this 'destiny' business your all in but we believe a hundred percent that the child can change all of your fates with no problem at all. However it will be difficult when the child is still being hunted down and has yet to control his powers."

"But we saw him use it on his own against Crnobog and defeated him."

"No, that was his inner rage taking over. Letting our emotions take control over those kinds of situations with the powers we have is extremely bad. Haru must learn to properly control his dragon abilities and powers or he'll won't even be able to face off a Dread Guard."

"And he must also start rebuild his clan as well. He is the one of the last of a dying class, the Dragon King. Out of all the dragons in our race, the Dragon Kings are the few that are in near extinction. There are a few dozen or so left in the entire existence, an ancient civil war has done its greatest damage to our once great diverse race. With the threat still looming over him and now his new promise to save his friends, he must also find mates to help him repopulate and save the Dragon Kings from extinction." Ignir explained.

"Oh, my such a heavy burden to place on a child…wait, what do you mean 'mates'?" Goei asks.

"In order to bring his clan back, the child must find mates, many mates for that matter. However that could present a bit of a problem. Since Haru has a great issue with trusting others it'll make it difficult for him to even try to find a worthy mate. Plus he has self-confidence issues as well that we need to build up. It'll be lots of work but the end results will be worth it. The hard part is to find potential mates that are not only strong will, powerful, and can handle on their own but also care for Haru and love. Without it, it can damage the child's mind and confidence of ever finding true happiness." Laufey explained.

"I see your point and agree. But where are you going to find said mates for Haru-kun?"

"The child seems to already draw in a few good ones so far. Hakufu, Ryomou, and Ukitsu seem to fit the bill so far but they'll need to prove that they love the child like a lover and not just a friend."

"And if not?"

"Then we must search the whole world if must. The longer the young master doesn't find suitable mates, the greater the likelihood he'll be mate-less for the rest of his life." Ignir said grimly.

"And you think my daughter is a possible mate for him? But she isn't even a dragon."

"Oh don't you worried about that, a little something called Dragon Magic can quickly fix that. But that's only if she is the many ones for him."

"But there is a problem with that if she is a possible mate for Haru-kun. If what you said is true about him getting more than one mate, than that'll be a hassle for him cause Hakufu-chan is a bit greedy when it comes to things she sees as her own." Goei said with a tired smile.

"Oh I don't think it's that bad." Laufey waved it off.
