Both Goei and Haru were walking to a shopping center but Goei couldn't help noticing that Haru was deep in thought. Thinking it's about what the earlier conversation they had was getting him down a bit. She decides to see what was eating him.
"Is something wrong Haru-kun?"
"… just… thinking."
"Mind sharing, I might help you." Goei offered.
"Why did you say that?"
"Say what?"
"When… Miss Goei said she… was Haru's mother… Why did you say that?"
All Goei did was give him a sweet smile as she kneeled to his height while placing her hand in his cheek, slowly stroking it in a motherly way. Haru stood blushing a little feeling this warm feeling in him rising, again it was so familiar to him but yet he couldn't put his finger on why.
"That's because I want to be your mother Haru-kun." Haru was shocked when he heard that.
"Really… but why?" He had to know.
"Cause you're a sweet child that deserves a family after everything you went through. I know you might not trust me fully and that's alright, you've been through a lot so you may never trust me. I want you to know that there is someone that loves you and will be there for you no matter what. And I want to be the mother you rightfully deserve and I'll do all I can to be a good mother. From now on, I am your mother Haru-kun and I love you with all my heart as though you are my own flesh and blood." She said bringing him into a loving hug.
Haru stood there stunned, he couldn't believe it. He now has a person that loves him like a son, one of the few things he always wanted to have. He snapped out of his shock and hugged back.
"Thank you… Haru always wanted to have someone to love Haru… and now Haru does. Thank you so much… Mama Goei." Goei couldn't help but choke out tears of happiness hearing him say that.
"You're welcome sweetie; mommy loves you very much and will always love you."
The two stayed like that for some time before Goei stood up but not without giving him a motherly kiss on the forehead.
"Now then Haru-kun, let's spend the day as mother and child getting to know one another. Ok?" She asks.
"Yes Mama Goei, Haru would like that very much."
The two went into a shop hand in hand and enjoyed the day.
"But I don't understand Crnobog-dono; you said I would have my reward?" Toutaku asked in disbelieve.
"Things changed Chuuei, I need you to kill that child soon or else you'll get something worse than an empty promise." Crnobog said.
"But you promised!"
Toutaku was slammed on the ground by a light force of darkness by Crnobog. He steadily got back up coughing blood.
"Don't you DARE raise your voice at me human scum! I am a god and your nothing but a pathetic toy that does my bidding and unless you want to feel my wrath you will know your place. Understand!" He boomed.
"Now you have five days to kill him or else I'll show you a world filled with pain and nightmares you never knew existed." And with that he slammed the door while leaving.
"I can't believe this! He has the fucking nerve to not give me my reward after he said he would! That backstabbing god!" Toutaku sneered in anger.
"Yeah Crnobog was never known for his manners that's for sure." Said a coy voice.
Toutaku whipped around to see Rufas sitting on the ledge smelling one of the flowers.
"Who are you and why are you in my greenhouse!" Toutaku demanded.
"Oh don't get all pissy on me human; I ain't here to raddle your cage like Mr. Cold-Dark-Stick-in-the-Ass Crnobog… much. My name is Rufas work with Crnobog there." Rufas said walking up to Toutaku.
"I see you got the shitty end of the stick there huh?"
"… If you are working with that god then why did he cheat me out of my reward?" Toutaku asks.
"Oh that, he's all pissy cause he failed to get the kid and got his ass whooped by him in the process."
"The homeless runt defeated Crnobog?! But how, he's nothing but a weak little freak."
"Oh so old cold bridges didn't tell you huh?"
"Tell me what?"
"That kid your trying to kill isn't human, in fact he's this 'Kanto Beast' thing you humans name him. Sounds corny though." Rufas shrugged.
"I… I don't believe it… that street rat is actually the Kanto Beast?! And yet it all makes sense now, I always wondered how'd he escaped my Fighters or how many of the times they got killed off. That kid is somehow the killer… unbelievable… but now this has raised a problem. How am I going to kill him now knowing he's the beast?"
"Well I could give you a weapon to kill him, but it'll cost you human." Rufas smirked.
"I'll give you whatever you want, I must have that reward. No matter what."
"Ok then, I'll give you this dagger here to plunge into his heart. That'll kill him for sure. And your cost for it is a simple one. Your soul."
"My soul, what are you a devil?" Toutaku scoffed.
"Oh you poor stupid human, devils aren't the only thing that take souls. So is it a deal?" Rufas asks.
"Deal." He agreed without thinking.
"Excellent! Here you go." Rufas handed him a wicked looking silver blade with a black handle.
"This is it?"
"As you humans put it 'don't judge it by the looks alone' this dagger has magical properties that you'll need when the time comes. And watch yourself human, that child is extremely dangerous, especially if you piss him off."
"Noted, but why are you helping me?"
"For the fact my master wants the child dead and if I kill him first, indirectly of course, before the Ice Hard-ass then I'll be in his favor."
"I see… and if I help you you'll give me what I want?"
"Yep, now go start planning a way to kill him while I make sure Crnobog doesn't know about your double cross." Rufas grinned and left in a blink of an eye.
Toutaku was stun that he was gone already but looked at the dagger in his hand. Now that he is actually observing it he can feel a deadly power coming off of it almost like a poison. The dagger was actually giving him the creeps but if this would kill the kid then he doesn't care. All he wanted is his destiny change and he'll do anything to make it happen no matter who he has to kill or the cost.
"My freedom for a homeless kid's life, a fair trade I say… but him being the Kanto Beast will make things difficult for me. Sending large groups means nothing to the brat, he just kills them off without even a trace of him ever being there at the battle field. Perhaps a smaller group would do better? But it'll have to be my finest and they'll need to look unimposing as well. Ah my three little vixens would do fine, just make them wear regular clothes and act all friendly to him so he won't have a reason to kill them and when his guard is down… no more pest of the world. After all, a female is one of the best assassins ever and he is a boy, he'll be charmed by their looks which will be the death of him… or he could kill Ryofu and thus changing my destiny. Either way I'll come out on top." He chuckled darkly and went to find Kaku, Chinkyu, and Ryofu.
