Chapter 181 - Chapter 181: The Death of Lois

"We would rather die than betray our own!" Lias said through clenched teeth.

Lucas turned his gaze toward the large-built Elrix, who merely snorted coldly in response.

The next instant—almost as if prearranged—both of their eyes erupted with intense crimson light.

Four searing heat-vision beams shot out at once, striking Lucas directly in the face.

Yet what shocked them even more was that the heat vision—carrying terrifying temperature and kinetic force—failed to make Lucas move even a fraction.

The two instinctively stopped firing.

Lucas remained completely unscathed, staring at them with indifferent eyes.

"Go on," Lucas said calmly. "Use whatever else you've got."

Lias opened her mouth and expelled a blast of freezing breath, instantly coating Lucas's face in white frost.

Realizing this, Elrix quickly followed suit, unleashing his own freezing breath.

In moments, Lucas's head was completely covered in ice.

Then—he moved slightly.

Crack.

All the frost shattered and fell away.

"So you still won't talk," Lucas narrowed his eyes.

"Then I'll just kill every Kryptonian here. I'll find your General Zod eventually."

With that, Lucas tightened his grip and snapped both of their necks in a single motion.

A surge of energy burst from his palms, engulfing their bodies in roaring flames.

In seconds, both corpses were reduced to ash, scattering into the air with the wind.

Meanwhile — aboard the Kryptonian command ship

General Zod looked down at Clark and shook his head in disappointment.

"You are weak. Cowardly. Unworthy of being a Kryptonian."

"Say whatever you want," Clark growled, teeth clenched.

"Just let her go. This is between us—it has nothing to do with her!"

Zod sneered.

"Have you forgotten that we can see through things?"

He pointed at the restrained Lois Lane beside him.

"She's carrying your child, isn't she?"

"Do you really think that has nothing to do with us?"

Veins bulged on Clark's forehead as he roared,

"Let her go! I'll agree to anything you want!"

Zod stood up slowly, his voice icy.

"If this were earlier, I might have spared her. I had no reason to kill indiscriminately."

"But now that I know she carries your offspring—she must stay."

"I can promise not to kill her."

Clark's emotions barely stabilized—

And then—

Lois suddenly pressed a hidden button in her hand.

A violent electromagnetic pulse exploded outward.

The Kryptonians restraining her were caught completely off guard as the specialized electromagnetic interference spread through their bodies, instantly paralyzing them.

This device—jointly developed by Tony Stark and Phastos—was designed specifically to disrupt Kryptonian force fields.

In that split second, Lois seized her chance, breaking free and sprinting toward Clark.

Clark's eyes sharpened.

At maximum speed, he rushed toward her.

But Faora, who had been watching closely, reacted even faster and intercepted him.

"Get out of the way!"

At that moment, Clark saw only Lois.

She wasn't just his lover—she was carrying his child.

With unprecedented fury, Clark abandoned all restraint.

His eyes blazed red.

Two massive heat-vision beams erupted, slamming into Faora before she could dodge, blasting her away.

Clark reached Lois and pulled her into his arms, preparing to escape—

But in the next instant, a figure appeared at his side and smashed into him.

Forced to protect Lois, Clark couldn't counterattack.

He redirected all his strength to absorb the impact and was knocked sideways.

Zod immediately pursued.

Before obtaining the Codex within Clark's DNA, he could not allow Clark to escape.

Clark fired heat vision again—but Zod had long prepared for every one of Clark's moves.

He ducked under the beams, accelerated forward, and appeared directly in front of Clark.

Before Clark could react, Zod's fist slammed into his face.

To shield Lois, Clark took the blow head-on.

Zod's eyes flashed crimson—

He surged forward and smashed into Clark's back.

Despite the agony, Clark clutched Lois tightly.

His overwhelming protective instinct triggered his bio-field to act autonomously.

At that moment, Zod's heat vision was warped by the force field, curving away and striking the ship's outer hull instead.

The metal melted instantly, blasting open a massive hole.

The ship's internal atmosphere was violently sucked into the vacuum of space.

That breach opened right beside Clark and Lois.

Before they could react, the powerful suction dragged them outside the ship.

"No!"

Clark panicked.

He could survive in space.

But Lois couldn't.

Her face quickly flushed red—oxygen deprivation.

Desperate, Clark tried to rush back into the ship—

But Zod slammed into him again.

The impact forced Clark to loosen his grip.

Lois drifted into the void.

She covered her mouth, terror flooding her face.

Reaching out toward Clark, she tried to grab him—

But couldn't.

Clark roared and tried to charge forward, desperate to pull her back and save her—

But it was too late.

Zod relentlessly rammed into Clark again and again, preventing him from reaching her.

Lois's face darkened rapidly—from red to deep purple.

She clawed at her throat, looking at Clark, trying to call his name—

But in the silence of space, no sound could be heard.
