My race might be destined to die in who knows how long, but only if I do nothing. And, there's no way I'm sitting idle as a race of overpowered apes goes extinct.
Finishing his thoughts Sam focused his attention on a more unsettling matter, he couldn't get down. He chuckled to himself nervously as he tried jumping down, as stupid as that sounded.
A child with some type of Saiyan candy in her mouth pointed towards the weird figure in the air giggling, "Mom, dad, look he looks like he's drowning mid-air" She wheezed at her own joke. She seemed to be three or four years old from her stature; way too young to be laughing like that.
Sam looked down realized the couple passing by and called out sheepishly, "Uhm help please, dear kind strangers" he pleaded hopeful. The man who looked no older than 28 looked up with the most deadpan serious face one could give.
He let go of his daughter's hand and flew up toward the young Saiyan, "Hello, little infant, having trouble with flight." He said seriously.
"Ahh yea just help getting down" Sam said honestly.
"It's easy just focus your inner energy and push it upwards. Most infants as yourself subconsciously take flight at times. This is because of the intense gravity on our planet and our body naturally uses our inner energy to try to counter that gravity. You've probably subconsciously used too much energy which led to your predicament as of now." Said the nameless saiyan who sounds more like a scholar and less like a warrior.
"You see I would if I could actually feel my energy" Sam again replied honestly and helplessly.
The man being overly generous for a saiyan grabbed Sam by the hand and easily descended with him.
The man then spent a few minutes of his time going into more detail on the flight and how to control his energy before taking his family and departing.
Sam thanked him profusely as he watched the family of three depart with envy in his heart.
"Ugghh this damn planet is so damn hot making my eyes sweat" he said wiping away tears he couldn't control.
Not too long ago he too had a family. His one and only family that is, his mom. It's only been an hour or so since being transmigrated and he already misses her dearly.
All of a sudden he wasn't exactly so enthusiastic about being in the Dragon Ball world. He wanted to be with his mom; his emotional support and his lifeline. "It's only been an hour mom, and I already miss you."
Concentrating his energy from his core, then pushing it into his legs, he pushed the energy even further down and propelled himself upward taking flight.
He soared in the skies free as a bird, troubled as a mouse; anxious and exhilarated at the same time.
He was lost without a purpose. Sure he wanted to save the saiyans and live a long life, but how can he save others when he couldn't even save himself physically and mentally?
He flew around aimlessly as he let his thoughts wander.
