Chapter 7 - Am I an orphan? (7)

Samuel put up his wooden pole to block, which was split in half the instant the two connected. Seeing as he had no choice he manifested a metal pole this time, taking a stance.

The two charged each other saber vs pole, wrath vs determination. The two clashed and collided, coming together in a harmonious destruction.

Now that both weapons wielded by the duo were metal, they were evenly matched. Some would think that because Samuel had the wrathful nature of Sam he'd have the upper hand, but clearly that wasn't the case.

It was Sam's determination to protect his mother that brought forth Samuel the wrathful. It is this same determination that's set to destroy that button.

The two clashed again. Sparks flying everywhere as metal met metal. Seeing that Samuel had an unfair advantage in reach with his pole, Sam manifested another saber for balance; now he is a dual-wielding saber saiyan. He charged Samuel again both sabers raised high.

Samuel didn't dodge or block, he directly countered both sabers with his long pole. Hitting Sam away in the air.

Sam didn't fight the momentum. He went with the flow until he came close to the ground, stabbing both swords in the ground creating a dual line of sparks.

Pulling his weapons free he bolted at Samuel determined to achieve his goal. Using the knowledge he recently learned about saiyan energy, he used his energy in his core to strengthen his legs; almost as if he was going to take flight, but instead of pushing the energy all the way downward for upward momentum, he set the energy to his heels only, angling himself to be launched somewhat diagonally as he sped towards the unexpected Samuel.

Caught off guard by the sudden explosion on agility Samuel barely had time to dodge as he used his pole as a scapegoat loosing it in the process.

Not being one to waste an open opportunity, Sam brought down both swords to smash the button and table to smithereens.

Seconds before this happened, Samuel saw what was about to take place as he landed on his ass from dodging.

He tried reaching out to stop Sam from destroying the button, but seeing he was too late he screamed in panic instead, "Nooooooo!!."

His voice which was supposed to be screamed in his head was said aloud as his body awoke from temporary sleep.

"Huh, I thought I'd died, but if I'm not dead and I'm controlling the body, that means by destroying the button, that idiot unknowingly killed himself… pftt… HAHAHAHA. What a dumbass"

"The only dumbass is you. Damn fool." Sam retorted

"I'm not a fool, you are!"

"No you, you brainless magikarp"

As the two were arguing, the family of three from earlier happened to pass by again. They were actually going to a meat market earlier shopping for dinner when they found Sam struggling to get down from the air.

Now on their way back home they found the same child arguing in the air with himself, "hey mom, Dad, look it's the kid from earlier, instead of drowning on air, he's arguing with himself this time" she said suppressing her laughter.

"Honey don't be rude," said the man "He's probably just a bipolar Saiyan."

"Hahaha" laughed the child holding her stomach "A bipolar Saiyan, what is even that" she continued to wheeze. The family continued on their way home not showing the infant saiyan any more attention.

Back in the air the two continued to bicker in the open. "Get us down from here I'm tired of flying" Samuel said lowkey annoyed that Sam didn't perish.

"You know I can read your thoughts right? Weren't you just bitching earlier that you didn't want to die, now you're wishing death upon me, you damn hypocrite"

"If I'm a hypocrite then so are you"

"Ha! Real funny keep pulling that one joke. The I'm you and you're me bullshit"

"If you're gonna keep blabbering I'll just get us down myself" Samuel said as he easily descended, showing that he never needed help getting down in the first place.

As they flew back towards the shed neither said anything as both were in deep thought.

"So this Garlock kid" Sam opened up another conversation, "he seemed to be an orphan or something"

"Who cares?"

"Uhm me, I do. There's plenty of stuff we can learn from his parents, plus are we gonna provide for ourselves?"

"Considering we are in the Dragon Ball verse, it doesn't matter if we're an orphan. Saiyan kids conquer planets before even learning how to take a proper piss, we'll be alright."

"Yeah, but we're only saiyans by name not nature. Do you have the guts to go kill innocent civilians, committing mass murder for no reason; cause I don't"

"Hmmm… fair point. We still can't depend on others. As a matter of fact that's all the more reason we can't depend on others. We can't have anyone else deciding our fates; making villains of us for no reason"

"well I don't think there's any reason at all for us to become villains."

"Tell that to guts"

As the two continued conversing like two lost brothers they finally reached the shed heading inside for more discussions about the future.

They closed the door and brought the stool to the table as they sat down. Well, it was more appropriate to say they took turns performing certain actions. When one wasn't controlling the body, he would just let the other move the body as he watched.

This time however, instead of watching in the consciousness realm on a 4k tv, whoever was spectating was doing so directly through the eyes.

Sam pulled out the stool and sat down thinking; he seems to do that a lot. "Let's just assume that Garlock's parents are dead and move on" he said seriously.

Unlike other transmigrators who received their predecessors memories the two had no such luck, and it might be due to their Anomly of a split mind or rather split personality; literally.

"Yea let's just assume we're orphans and move on" Samuel doubled down on the take.
