Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Choosing Mushroom Island, Absolutely Invincible

Classic Sky Island survival.

Although small, the space had everything one needed.

A patch of grass blocks, with a central tree to provide food and starting supplies.

It was the best starting location!

From a piece of open space to a continent—Galen Yu didn't know how many times he had played this type of survival.

Now that it had become a real-life version, he only felt an extra sense of novelty and excitement!

"Look at his surroundings. Why is it all grass blocks? There isn't even a house!"

"A tree? What can one tree do?"

"Damn, I can't imagine how anyone is supposed to develop in this situation!"

"Anyone who goes there will surely die!"

"It's a pity for this young man named Galen Yu; he's going to be tortured to death."

As the Sky Island environment was displayed on the screen, a wail went up across the Nine Provinces.

No one expected that after the difficulty was significantly increased, such a difficult start would be chosen for them!

In contrast, the audiences from other nations were quite different.

"Hahaha, you're killing me. You call this a start?"

"Sorry, our Freedom Nation contestant spawned on Pumpkin Island, with an entire island of pumpkins!"

"Although it's harder than the previous fixed village starts, we have endless pumpkins to eat. We don't have to worry about hunger at all!"

"Yoshi! Our contestant's birthplace actually has a large patch of watermelons!"

"There's a small house and a water source. It's simply wonderful!"

"Oakmoor, do your best!"

"Since an item was used, the starting resources for the Nine Provinces must be abundant, right?"

"Eh? Why is there only ground? No house or water?"

"The contestant is just a college student. He probably doesn't even know how to make a fire!"

"Hahahaha!"

Various sarcastic comments appeared, causing the people of the Nine Provinces to clench their fists.

They wanted to say something to retort, but they looked at the other chunks.

The contestant Mark had a face full of smiles and was very happy.

His luck was excellent; he drew the first slot and selected the chunk with the most abundant resources.

Pumpkin House!

A beautiful island made entirely of pumpkins, with green grass and fresh flowers everywhere, and even a small river.

The house was already built; although it was only a dirt house, it was enough to resist monster invasions.

Inside, a large bed made of soft wool was enough for someone to lie down and rest comfortably for a night.

If it weren't in Block Civilization, it would definitely be a coveted paradise!

"Oh! This is great, Jett! We were actually chosen to enter the game together!"

"After training, I've already mastered the use and crafting of bows and arrows. This time, we will be the Lords of Civilization!"

Every civilization has its own rules, much like Parkour Civilization, which is divided into Parkour Novice, Parkour Expert, Parkour Master, and Parkour Champion.

A Parkour Champion is already at the peak of Parkour Civilization, but above them, there is a supreme existence.

The Lord of Civilization!

Truly supreme, capable of perfectly mastering an entire civilization!

Whether for oneself or for the motherland, it brings immense benefits.

Occupying such favorable conditions and having an old partner made Mark full of confidence.

Mark's situation was not unique.

Most people had chosen a starting point they were satisfied with.

On a small island with a red tone, Soren Park breathed a sigh of relief.

"Luckily I was drawn sixth!"

His position was quite early, which allowed him to choose one of the places where food was least lacking.

Mushroom Island!

Two Mooshrooms, and a three-block mushroom 'coffin house' that could only hold a bed.

There were also mushrooms everywhere. This was the best initial chunk Soren Park had carefully selected!

"Soren Park, fighting! You are the best!"

"Great! This place is full of mushrooms. We don't have to worry about food at all!"

"Breeding the two Mooshrooms means endless beef and mushrooms in the future!"

"Choosing Mushroom Island, isn't it easy to advance to a large chunk?"

"Invincible!"

At this moment, cheers could be heard throughout the Stick Nation.

Knowledge etched into everyone's bones: survival requires food!

Previous civilizations had also confirmed this; food is the most important resource in Block Civilization.

In a certain civilization, food control was even extremely strict, leading to players having insufficient hunger bars, which affected their jump distance and running speed, making it hard to level up.

Now that starting on Mushroom Island had solved such a critical issue, everyone was full of expectations for Soren Park.

"There seems to be a figure not far away. If I'm not mistaken, it's the Nine Provinces contestant, right?"

"Nine Provinces? You're killing me. Their contestant is actually on a Sky Island!"

"There's nothing there. I heard the contestant is just a college student. He's simply here as a joke!"

"I can't wait to see the scene of him being torn apart by zombies!"

"Hahaha!"

Sharp-eyed viewers noticed a figure in the distance after Soren Park finished checking his chunk.

He also saw Galen Yu nearby.

"A Sky Island?"

The distance between the two was moderate; his perspective was just right to see the situation on Galen Yu's island.

Soren Park immediately burst into laughter.

There was only one tree, resources were extremely scarce, and the only source of food was apples that might fall from the tree at some unknown time.

How could it possibly compare to his Mushroom Island?

"Just trash. Sooner or later, you'll be stepped on by my Stick Nation!"

"I wonder if occupying other chunks will increase the score."

After the rules were explained, a panel of information appeared before Soren Park.

[CURRENT CHUNK COMPOSITE SCORE: 1 (MICRO CHUNK)]

He needed to build up the chunk to increase the score and upgrade.

In previous civilizations, scores could be obtained by killing other players or creatures to upgrade.

As a large-scale civilization, Chunk Civilization should inherit this feature.

The closest and weakest Nine Provinces would be his first target!

"It just so happens that in the last civilization, I learned the recipe for a classic delicacy from a chest: Mushroom Stew!"

He picked two mushrooms from the ground and took out a wooden bowl from the house.

This was an excellent recipe he had spent three days to acquire; it only required a three-slot crafting space to make Mushroom Stew, which restored three points of hunger.

"Three points!"

Even a precious food like bread only restores 2.5 hunger points!

He owned an entire Mushroom Island with a near-infinite supply of Mushroom Stew.

This was enough to look down on most players!

"Just one mushroom, then another mushroom, and a bowl..."

Crafting things was very simple; one only needed to place the corresponding items on the crafting table for automatic production.

But immediately after, Soren Park was stunned.

He didn't have a crafting table.

Relying only on the built-in four-grid crafting, there was no way to make Mushroom Stew.

"Where's the crafting table?"

In the past, weren't these tools included in the village by default at the start?

After searching all over Mushroom Island, Soren Park still couldn't find any sign of a crafting table.

"As expected of a large-scale civilization, must the crafting table be unlocked later?"

Without a crafting table, he couldn't make Mushroom Stew. Soren Park could only give up helplessly.

He also turned his gaze toward the Sky Island.

"When food is scarce, the best strategy is to conserve energy. What is that Galen Yu doing?"

"Chopping the tree? Is he joking?"

With one glance, Soren Park couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Keeping the tree might yield a few apples if he's lucky, but by chopping it down, won't he starve to death later?

"Sure enough, he's young and doesn't understand how Block Civilization should be played at all!"
