AT THE SAME TIME

The cafe had reached the point where fabric, flowers, ribbons, and wedding charts had completely conquered the tables. I was fairly certain one of the pastries had been replaced by a bouquet at some point, and nobody had noticed. Bella was still sitting in a chair Xavier had finally allowed her to occupy, though he remained standing directly behind her like a tall, elegant guard who had decided she might escape if he blinked. Ina was humming happily while measuring a length of white ribbon against Bella's shoulder.
"This is perfect." She said, nodding enthusiastically. "Elegant but dramatic."
Bella stared forward like a soldier who had accepted defeat.
"I am being emotionally kidnapped."She sighed.
"Technically you said yes."Michael said.
"I DID NOT SAY YES!"Bella frowned.
"You didn't say no either."He sighed.
"I WAS BUSY PANICKING!"Bella pointed at him.
