Bella's POV
My expression turned glacial as I shot Gideon a withering look. "Idiot! Rather than interfering with what I do, you should focus on your own behavior. Don't create problems that'll bring shame to the Fairfax name."
I gave Gideon one final cold stare before spinning around and striding off without looking back.

Everyone seemed shocked that Richard didn't try to stop Bella.
Gideon glanced at Richard, confused. "Father, you're really going to let her walk away like that?"
"What else would you suggest?" Richard's glare fell on his worthless second son, channeling all his frustration onto him. "If you could win a Prince's attention like she has, you'd act just as bold."
Gideon went still, suddenly remembering Bella's arrangement with Caspian.
Regularly, she had to visit Caspian for embroidery lessons.
The realization made Gideon's jaw tighten until his teeth almost cracked.
