My mother didn't teach me much.
My father taught me everything I knew. He taught me to use a knife, he taught me to shoot, and he taught me enough to get me on the Alpha's council.
However, the one thing my mother taught me was the one thing that kept me in his head.
"All men are the same," she told me after a long afternoon.
I was ten and she was braiding my hair in the middle of our living room. She barely spoke to me unless it was to scold me about my posture or remind me of what it meant to be a woman.
However, that day was different.
"There is one thing on their minds all the time… sex."
I'd screwed up my face in disgust.
No ten year old wanted to talk about sex, but she didn't stop speaking.
"They only have enough brain cells to use one head at a time. If you can keep their lower head occupied, then you can control the one on their shoulders."
I didn't understand what she meant… not until I met Henry.
