Llana hummed softly under her breath as she and Sebastian walked out of the conference room. A wide grin was plastered across her face as she practically skipped down the hallway.
Inviting her brother Sebastian had clearly been the best decision she'd made this time. Thankfully, she hadn't given in to Adrian's persistent nagging to come along instead.
In Llana's opinion, that kind of meeting didn't suit Adrian at all. With his cheerful, extroverted personality, she was afraid that if Adrian had been there, he would have simply befriended everyone and might have ended up giving everything away in the end.
Llana had thought she would receive only thirty percent of her own work, maybe even less, especially since she was still a new artist.
On top of that, she hadn't even understood a single sentence written in the contract presented to her. Honestly, if she'd been on her own, she would've been scammed, practically turning it into an act of charity for the company.
Seriously, her brother had handled the matter incredibly well. She was genuinely amazed by his ability to turn the tables earlier. She even ended up getting more than the company.
She felt really good right now. She can practically smell the money miles away.
Llana hummed happily again.
Sebastian look at his sister who looks like in a cloud nine. He shook his head dotingly, thinking, 'she must really happy to have her songs released.'
Sebastian raised his brow humming, "are you satisfied?"
"Hm. Very, very satisfied. Thank you so much, brother!" Llana turned around and jumped toward him, wrapping her arms around his neck and hanging onto him as she kissed his cheeks. "Love you."
Sebastian felt himself melt. He wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly before pressing a gentle kiss to her temple. "You're welcome, love."
"I have to go," he said as he set her down. "Your brother still has things to take care of today. I'm sorry I can't accompany you any further."
A hint of sadness tugged at his heart, he wanted to spend more time with his baby sister but an important meeting awaited him.
"It's okay, brother. I know you're busy. Let's make plans next time." Llana smiled at him.
Warmth bloomed in her heart, a feeling she had only experienced a handful of times in her past life. With each passing day, she grew more grateful for this new life she had been given.
After parting ways with Sebastian, Llana intended to take a short walk to find something to eat. But when her stomach growled loudly in protest, she quickly reconsidered.
Llana called Uncle Joon, her driver, and asked him to take her home. She would just eat there instead. Home-made food is much better anyway. It was already 11:30 a.m., just in time for lunch, and her stomach had clearly run out of patience.

Uncle Joon studied her for a moment in the mirror. After confirming that she was fine, he sighed in relief and returned his attention to the road.
Llana decided not to speak to the system anymore. She pressed her temple lightly against the cool glass of the car window, letting her thoughts drift as the world outside blurred past. Trees, buildings, and the occasional passerby streaked by.
'Time really does fly,' Llana thought, reminiscing about the past as she watched the world blur past the window. It felt like only yesterday she's been a college student, buried in research for the thesis that was supposed to be a group effort yet somehow became her burden alone.
