Chapter 2 - JADEN’S MEAL

"Finally, I thought we would never reach this place. You walk too slow," Jonah says as they approach the school gate.

"Why are you blaming me? Blame these melons—they're always slowing me down," Stephanie replies, casually playing with her breasts.

"Okay, okay, I get it. Can you stop before someone sees you?" Jonah says, turning his head away.

"Are you seriously getting flustered over me touching my breasts?" Stephanie asks, deliberately squeezing them closer together in front of his face.

"Okay, okay, that's enough. Let's head to class—we're late as it is," Jonah says quickly as he walks through the gate.

"Remember, I'm going to show you around the school. Don't forget that," Stephanie says, waving as she runs off toward her building.

"Yeah, yeah," Jonah mutters as he heads inside.

"Wow… these halls are way bigger than the ones at high school," Jonah says, slowing down to take in his surroundings.

"Obviously, new blood," a voice says from behind him.

"Huh? Who said—" Jonah begins, turning around.

Standing behind him is a brown-haired girl wearing a long brown coat and a tight turtleneck that hugs her chest, clearly outlining her large breasts.

"Who are you?" Jonah asks, confused as to why she's addressing him.

"Does that really matter? You have a hot senior in front of you—why not escort her to class?" she says, grabbing his hand and pulling him along.

"What the hell is going on today? Am I just not destined to go to class?" Jonah mutters as he's dragged through the hall.

"What's your name, fresher?" she asks.

"It's Jonah. Jonah Crest. And why are you dragging me?" Jonah says, still confused, though he doesn't pull away.

"Jonah, huh? I guess I can work with that. I'm Jaden. I'm a 200-level nursing student. Nice to meet you. What major are you in?" Jaden asks, still leading him forward.

"Is this an interview? I'm an engineering major. You said you're a nursing student—I didn't expect this from a nursing student," Jonah says, surprised by her erratic behavior.

"Not every egg has to be white, you know. I'm just different," Jaden says. "Oh, we're here. Thanks for escorting me."

She stops and smiles at him.

"It's not like I had a choice," Jonah replies dryly.

"Hey, what's your last class today?" Jaden asks, a strange look in her eyes.

"Maths. Why are you asking?" Jonah replies.

"Oh, don't worry. You'll see," she says before walking into her classroom.

"What's with her?" Jonah mutters.

He checks the time and stiffens.

"God, this is not how I imagined my first day going," Jonah says before running toward his class.

Inside Jaden's classroom—

"Hey, who was that with you?" a student asks.

"Oh," Jaden says with a slight smile, "just my next meal."
