Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 4

 THE BILLIONAIRE'S ADVICE

After I refused again to listen to my father's advice, everything changed. My father was not a man who spoke carelessly, as a billionaire, every word he gave carried power, weight, built from years of wisdom, losses, and victories. He tried everything to protect me from Wilson Mark.

He warned me. He begged me. He even investigated Wilson quietly, hoping I would open my eyes before it was too late.

But I refused. Love-or what I believed was love had chained my heart. No matter how much my father tried, I stood firm. I defended Wilson. I argued. I cried. I believed my feelings were stronger than my father's experience. And that stubbornness pushed him to a decision.

One cold evening, my father called me into his private study. The room smelled of old books ang polished woods, a place where decisions were made. Decisions that changed destiny. He stood by the window, staring at the Paris skyline, the city glowing beneath him like the kingdom he ruled but could not fully control.

"Luna"he said quietly, without turning to face me, I have done everything a father can do.

His voice held no anger - only disappointment. That more than shouting could.

Be finally turned to me, his eyes sharp and tired. "You now have two choices".

My heart began to race. "If you choose Wilson Mark", he continued, then your are choosing him completely. "I will no longer provide for you while you remain under my roof. Every need, every expense, every comfort you are used to - Wilson will responsible for all of it". The room felt smaller. The air felt heavier. And if you choose me, "he added ", you walk away from him forever.

I felt torn between two words-one built on love and protection, the other on desire and illusion. My father wasn't threatening me, he was realising me. He wanted me to understand the weight of my decision.

"There is more " he said firmly, if you choose Wilson, You will face the consequences of your actions alone. I will. Not interfere, I will not rescue you. Life will teach you what I tried to. His words echoed like prophecy.

I wanted to scream, I wanted to beg him to understand how much Wilson meant to me. I wanted to believe love could conquer everything - even truth. In my heart, I still felt that magical pull, that fantasy where Wilson was my hero and I was his chosen one. I choose Wilson Mark.

As the word left my lips, something inside my father broke. He nodded slowly, as if sealing a contract written by fate itself. At that moment, I felt like a princess walking away from her kingdom, chasing a dream without knowing it was built on lies. That nigh, I return to my room starting at my reflection in the mirror. The girl looking back at me was still dressed in luxury, but her future was uncertain. I didn't know the that I had just stepped onto a path of pain, betrayal, and weakening. My father had given me advice wrapped in love I rejected it. And destiny smiled quietly….. Waiting.
