The wedding of Kael and Mitsuri Kanroji arrived with the precision of a scripted event. While their family backgrounds didn't call for a royal gala, the meticulous care woven into every detail reflected a deep, communal respect.

Mitsuri was a vision in her white Shiromuku kimono, the Tsunokakushi headpiece framing a face that radiated a pure, ethereal beauty. Beside her, Kael stood tall in a matching white Haori Hakama, his posture exuding the quiet lethality of an apex predator masquerading as a gentleman.

Standing on the high dais, the priest's blessings drifted over them like incense. After the San-san-kudo ceremony, the two signed their marriage contract under the watchful eyes of their kin, reciting their vows with a sincerity that felt grounded in something far older than this era. It was their first marriage—at least in this timeline—and while a few nerves flickered, the ceremony was a flawless success.

As the celebration moved to the feast, Kael's smile had become a practiced, numb mask. Rengoku Kyojuro had sent his regrets—a Slayer's duty was never done—but his absence was filled by a generous gift from the Rengoku estate. Heritage families were rich, but the Demon Slayer Corps were on another level entirely. The Ubuyashiki bloodline, blessed with 'Foresight,' had played the markets of history for generations. They weren't just warriors; they were the ultimate venture capitalists.

To Kael's slight surprise, he received a personal gift and a hand-written blessing from the Master of the Corps himself. The calligraphy was sharp, disciplined—the work of a man who saw the world in shades of absolute clarity.

Back in their new home, Mitsuri was currently "unboxing" her dowry like a delighted hamster, neatly tucking each item into her chest. The long ceremony hadn't even scratched her endurance.

"Alright, stop acting like a scavenger. It's late, and we have serious business," Kael said, helping her close the lid. His gaze, heavy with intent, made her cheeks flush a vibrant crimson. Mitsuri was many things, but she wasn't ignorant of what came next.

When his hand finally brushed hers, her mind went to static. "W-wait... let me..."

"Relax, Mitsuri. I'm a technical genius; I know exactly how to disassemble this hardware."

Kael's fingers moved with the efficiency of a Ripperdoc, shedding the layers of her kimono as easily as peeling a boiled egg. In a heartbeat, the room was reduced to a landscape of soft, pale skin and a face where shyness and trepidation met a growing, fierce anticipation.

Eight times the muscle density of a human was a physical variable that would have crushed a normal man. But Kael was backed by the Six-Kael Power. As they finally merged, Mitsuri realized with a surge of relief that her worries about breaking his ribs were entirely unnecessary. For the first time in her life, she could let go. She could curl into an embrace without holding back.

CRACK.

Kael paused, looking down at Mitsuri, who was currently shrinking her neck, looking like she'd just tripped a security alarm.

"It's okay," Kael whispered, pulling her closer. "Just a bed slat. I can fix the hardware tomorrow."

The morning after transformed Mitsuri. The girlish innocence had matured into a radiant, captivating womanly grace.

"Now that you've started a family, it's time to take over the business," Kael's father announced over breakfast.

"I have my own ideas, Father," Kael replied. He needed a revenue stream that didn't rely on traditional fabric trading if he was going to support Mitsuri's legendary appetite and his own technical projects.

"What ideas?"

"Electric lights. Specifically, UV spectrum emitters."

His father stared at him as if he'd started speaking in binary. "UV? Electric? Kael, you were a scholar, not a lightning-smith."

"I've already found a primary sponsor, but I'm willing to let you take a ten-percent stake," Kael offered with a smirk.

"You brat... fine. One try. Don't burn the family fortune."

Kael's chosen sponsor was the Ubuyashiki family. Even without the wedding gift, he'd planned to use his link with Kyojuro to pitch them. His letter had been a masterclass in Calculated Survival: a blueprint for UV lights—a technology that had existed in the West since the early 19th century but was a literal godsend in a world plagued by demons.

As expected, Ubuyashiki Kagaya recognized the pivot point. What Kael didn't expect was for the Master to visit in person, despite his failing health and the protests of the Hashira.

The Master arrived in a wheelchair, pushed by Kyojuro. His eyes were milky, nearing blindness, but his voice was like velvet. "My apologies. I hope my presence isn't an inconvenience."

"Mitsuri, we have guests!" Kael called out.

Mitsuri poked her head out from under the eaves, currently holding one of her many rabbits. "Guests?"

"The ones who sent the silk," Kael added. Mitsuri's face turned bright red as she realized who was sitting in her courtyard. If Kyojuro wasn't there, she would have given Kael a taste of her "playful" fists.

"I am Rengoku Kyojuro, the one who sent the kitchenware! It is an honor, Sister-in-law! I have brought peach crisps!" the Slayer roared.

Mitsuri hid for ten minutes to calm her heart before bringing tea.

"The affection between you two is palpable," Kagaya noted, sensing the resonance between them. "It is quite different from the formal respect of my own marriage. You are like two stars in orbit."

"Try the crisps, Mitsuri," Kael said, feeding a piece to her. She took a shy bite and happily trotted back to her sun-spot with the rest of the box.

"Madam Sakuragi is... extraordinary," Kagaya whispered, sensing the power coiled within her frame.

"She can hold her own against Kyojuro," Kael stated flatly, nearly making the Slayer choke on his tea.

Kagaya felt a pang of regret. They would have been the finest Hashira the Corps had ever seen. But he looked at the warmth of the home and shook his head. They didn't belong in the slaughter. "If the UV lights work as your blueprints suggest, Kael, the debt I owe you will be beyond measure."

"Mitsuri eats 170 sakuramochi a day," Kael added, a man's pride forcing him to compare stats.

Mitsuri, overhearing, ground her teeth. I only ate 165 yesterday! Nuo is lying to the guest! Fine... today I eat exactly 170!

"I... cannot compete with that," Kagaya admitted with a rare, genuine laugh. He looked at Kael. "Tell me, friend. Is the prototype ready?"

"Timed perfectly," Kael said, his tone shifting to technical precision. "The UV array is complete. The only question is how much damage it does to demon cellular structures."

"I have a premonition," Kagaya replied, his voice firm. "It will change everything."
