Ezra
Five days later.
My attendants came in early. They helped me wash up, changed the dirty sheets, and gave me the medicine the doctor prescribed for me. It tasted so bitter and nasty, but I didn't have any other choice but to drink it all. When they were done bathing and drying me up, they dressed me up in fresh clothes.
I'd been trying all morning to not let my anxiety get the best of me but I couldn't help it. It had been five days since Allen walked out, leaving my heart and soul in pieces. I couldn't control the many thoughts that plagued me and I needed some sort of closure.
Without thinking too much about it, I softly cleared my throat and asked the attendants about Allen's whereabouts.
"Do any of you know where Allen is?"
They all shook their heads. One of them said quietly, "We have no clue, young master." I didn't press further. I was going to find out, one way or another.
