"ALRIGHT!" he yelled. "That was an excellent first match! Now it's time for the NEXT BATTLE!!"

He reached into the lottery boxes with both hands, then dramatic rummaged around. The class leaned forward, curious about who would be fighting next.

"The heroes for this match will be..." All Might pulled out the first ball and held it up. "TEAM B!"

Shoto Todoroki and Mezo Shoji stepped forward.

"And the villains will be..." All Might pulled out the second ball. "TEAM I!"

Akira turned and immediately spotted a pair of floating gloves waving excitedly near him.

"Ready for the match?" Akira asked.

"Yeah! Let's do this!!" Toru said excitedly.

Before they headed to the preparation area, Momo walked over. Her expression was encouraging but also slightly concerned.

"Good luck out there," she said, and Nia said at the same time.

Akira smiled. "Thanks, but the other team is going to need it more than us."

He turned and walked toward the building entrance, Toru bouncing alongside him.

Momo knew that look on Akira's face. She knew exactly what was about to happen.

Good luck, team B, Momo offered her silent prayers.

***

Inside the building, Akira and Toru stood in a room on the third floor. The fake nuclear weapon sat in the center.

Toru looked around the space, then turned to Akira.

"So, what's the plan?"

"The plan is simple. We wait."

Silence....

"What?" Toru's confusion was evident even without seeing her face.

"Yup," Akira confirmed. "We wait for them to make a move, and then I hammer them. Easy."

Toru tried to reason with him. "Akira, I know you're strong, but isn't it outright bad to underestimate them? Todoroki is supposed to be incredibly powerful. He got in on recommendations!"

"Toru, it's not that I underestimate them," he began explaining.

Just then, All Might's voice boomed through the communication system throughout the building.

"BEGIN!!"

But Akira continued talking as if nothing had happened, completely unbothered by the start of the match.

"I'm confident in my ability. I take pride in my strength. The strength that I and my family built together through hard work and dedication."

Toru just stared, her jaw hanging open at his casual attitude during an active test.

WOOOSH

Just then, a massive torrent of ice erupted from the floor below them.

The temperature dropped instantly. Frost spread across every surface. The ice wave came rushing up through the building like a frozen tsunami.

Toru instinctively closed her eyes, bracing for the freezing impact.

1 second....

2 second.....

3 second..... she waited, but nothing happened.

Toru slowly opened her eyes and gasped.

A ring of red flame surrounded them both, the fire crackling with intense heat that made the air shimmer. These weren't the gentle blue flames she'd seen Akira use for healing. These were something new.

The heat radiating from the ring was so intense that she could feel sweat forming on her invisible skin despite the freezing ice that was just meters away.

Akira stood in the same position as before, completely unmoved. His expression carried that same prideful confidence.

"I will be the strongest," he stated quietly with absolute conviction.

Then his expression shifted to something more playful. He looked in Toru's general direction and smiled.

"Now watch how to be a professional villain."

"What?" was all Toru could manage to say before Akira moved.

His eyes flashed with an odd shine as he activated his Thermal Vision.

Soon, he could see two distinct heat sources on the floor below.

Found them.

Akira gripped the hilts of both swords strapped to his back, as blue flames erupted across his entire body. The Phoenix Drive was activated, enhancing his physical capabilities to superhuman levels.

Then he whispered.

"Blade Style: Cleave."

In one impossibly quick motion, he drew both blades. The swords ignited with crimson flames as they left their sheaths.

SLASH

.

.

.

For a single heartbeat, nothing happened.

Then reality caught up to his attack.

The entire building groaned. A perfect, clean line appeared through the structure. The cut traveled through the building like it was made of paper, following the exact path of his sword strike.

The building simply... opened. A massive section of the structure slid apart, creating a direct opening from the third floor straight down to where Shoto and Shoji stood on the first floor, whose eyes were wide with bewilderment.

Through the newly created opening, the two teams could see each other clearly.

Akira didn't waste the moment.

He crouched low, his enhanced muscles coiling like springs. Then he launched himself forward, blue flames trailing behind him as he shot through the air directly toward his opponents.

Shoto reacted on instinct, as he extended his right hand forward.

Another massive torrent of ice erupted from the ground, a frozen wall trying to intercept Akira's charge.

Akira saw it coming. Mid-flight, he adjusted his grip on his swords, shifting his stance even while airborne.

"Blade Style: Mesh."

His blades moved in a complex pattern, too fast for most eyes to follow. The swords traced perfect paths through the air, creating a web of cutting force.

The ice torrent didn't stand a chance.

The massive frozen attack was sliced into thousands of pieces. Chunks of ice exploded in every direction, the attack was completely dismantled before it could reach him.

Shoji, realizing Todoroki's ice wouldn't stop their opponent, acted fast. Using his Dupli-Arms quirk, he grabbed a large block of concrete debris from the earlier ice attack, and positioned it like a shield, creating a physical barrier between them and the approaching threat.

But Akira wasn't coming from the front anymore.

Mid-flight, he constructed a platform of solid blue flames in the air. He kicked off the floating platform, redirecting his momentum at an impossible angle.

The concrete shield protected their front.

Akira landed behind them.

The first thing Shoto and Shoji felt was the heat of two blades near their necks.

"Give up?" Akira asked.

Shoto and Shoji stood completely frozen.

Their minds were still trying to process what had just happened. The match had started maybe thirty seconds ago. How were they already defeated?

Back in the observation room, something similar happened.

Every single student stood with their mouths open, staring at the monitors in complete disbelief.

Jiro was the first to find her voice, though it came out barely above a whisper.

"D-did he just slice that entire building open?" She pointed at the screen with a shaking finger, not believing what she'd witnessed.

"THAT WAS INSANE!!" Kaminari screamed.

"He cut through the WHOLE building! In one attack!" Sero added.

"How is that even possible?!" Kirishima's eyes were wide. "That's not just strong, that's like... top pro hero level!"

"Did you see how fast he moved?" Sato asked.

"He created platforms in mid-air!" Ochaco pointed out.

"Those swords..." Tokoyami muttered. "The flames changed colors. What kind of quirk allows such versatility?"

Mina turned to Momo, who stood slightly apart from the others. "Did you know he could do that?!"

Momo sighed, but her expression carried a fond smile. "Going completely overkill on the first move. That's just good old Akira for you."

Nia, still nestled in Momo's arms, laughed with clear amusement. Her tail swished happily. "You know how Daddy is. He doesn't do anything halfway. If he's going to win, he's going to make sure of it!"

"But that was..." Mina struggled to find words. "That was just overwhelming! They didn't even get a chance to fight back!"

"That's the point," Momo explained, her mind analyzing the battle despite knowing Akira personally. "He executed the fight with overwhelming force before they could adapt. It's brutally efficient."

"Efficient?!" Kaminari squeaked. "He sliced open a building!"

On the monitors, they could see Akira still standing behind the two defeated students, his blades held steady.

All Might stood at the control panel, and even he looked somewhat stunned. His hand hovered over the communication button.

Finally, he pressed it.

"Villain team... WINS!" he announced. "The battle is over! Both hero team members have been captured!"

He paused, then added, "Young Shuzenji... perhaps try not to destroy the entire training facility in future matches, yes?"

Through the communication system, they could hear Akira's slightly sheepish response.

"But a villain would not care about that."

All Might sighed and thought. Being a teacher is harder than I thought.

Bakugo stared at the screen with an expression caught between rage and something else. His fists clenched hard. Another person with that kind of power. Another person he'd need to surpass.

***

As the four students from the match returned to the observation room, the atmosphere shifted.

Shoto walked in with his usual stoic expression, but there was a new look in his eyes — recognition of a peer who matched or exceeded his own strength. He gave Akira a small nod of acknowledgment.

Toru bounced over to the other girls, her gloves waving excitedly.

"That was amazing!" she gushed. "I didn't do anything! I just stood there and watched Akira completely dominate! It was so cool but also kind of scary!"

Akira walked over to where Momo stood with Nia. The small cat immediately perked up.

"Daddy you won!" Nia announced proudly, as if there had been any doubt.

"That was quite the display," Momo said, her tone a mix of impressed and exasperated. "Did you really need to slice the building open?"

Akira shrugged with a silly smile. "It was cool and clean. No prolonged fighting, no risk of injury to anyone. Quick and decisive."

"You're impossible," Momo said, but she was smiling.

All Might cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention back to the front of the room.

"Well!" he said, his enthusiasm returning. "That was certainly an educational match! Who can tell me what we learned from this battle?"

Several hands went up, though many students were still processing what they'd witnessed.

"Yes, Yaoyorozu?"

Momo lowered her hand. "The match demonstrated the importance of information gathering and adaptability. Todoroki-san's opening move, freezing the entire building, is a powerful strategy that would overwhelm most opponents. However, Akira had a specific counter prepared, and more importantly, he gathered tactical information about enemy positions before committing to his attack. The lesson is that raw power alone isn't enough if your opponent can counter it and has superior tactical awareness."

"Excellent analysis!" All Might praised. "Anyone else?"

"It also showed that sometimes the best defense is an overwhelming offense," Tokoyami added. "By taking the initiative and attacking with decisive force, Shuzenji-san never allowed the hero team to establish their own strategy."

"Also very true!" All Might nodded. "The ability to seize and maintain combat initiative is crucial in hero work!"

--<<>>--

So yeah, not too overpowered in my opinion. Izuku and Bakugo could destroy the building, and Shoto was able to freeze it, with a single wave of his hand. So Akira being able to do that should be pretty realisitc, given he has been training really hard.
