He moved outside the pagoda, floating freely above the pristine landscape.
"Oh right, those wings... let's test them out for the rest of the time."
His massive wings unfurled behind him, one radiant white, one obsidian black—catching the ethereal light of this mindscape.
For the next two days, which was a mere two hours in the external world—Cale dedicated himself entirely to mastering flight.
The initial attempts were... let's just say pathetic. His new body was too unfamiliar, the weight distribution foreign, the connection between thoughts and wing movement was shitty too.
He was at fault too, considering he tried to perform movie like stunts while being new to these wings. Thank gods he could float in this space!
He plummeted like a stone more times than he cared to count, catching himself at the last possible moment.
