Thoughts crashed endlessly against one another as he desperately tried to piece together what had happened.
Every possibility seemed to lead to another question.
He replayed every detail repeatedly in his head, trying to identify who could have orchestrated something like this and what their motive might be.
But after several long minutes of thinking, no convincing answer came to him.
Slowly, he turned around and met the manager's uneasy gaze. "I hope you can contact me if you are able to restore the footage," Kelvin said.
The manager nodded frantically. At that moment, he wished more than anything for the two men to leave.
He genuinely did not want to answer questions he knew nothing about, especially when the identities of the people asking those questions appeared far from ordinary.
The atmosphere surrounding them was enough to make anyone nervous.
