"So where are you three headed?" Lars questioned.
"Oh I'm planning to show them around town."
"So our date's still on right?" Lars' question made Amber blush and stutter.
"D-date?" Lumine giggled while Paimon just smirked at the brown haired Outrider.
"Oooooo... Someone's very lucky today." Amber blushed even more at Paimon's tease. Lars raised an eyebrow.
"If not then what is it? Hanging out?"
"Y-yeah, th-that! Hanging out! Getting to know each other!" Amber nodded quickly. Lars laughed. "Alright then. But are you sure you wanna leave Lumine and Paimon alone? Do they even have a place to stay the night?"
"Oh, no need to worry about us! We wouldn't want to interrupt your private time." Paimon waved her hands at him. Lumine nodded in agreement.
"Well, technically it's not a date, though I kinda wish it was..." He smirked at Amber who pretended to look at another direction.
"So I think you should just stay around with us. The more the merrier right?" Lars suggested. "What do you think?" He asked them.
"Sure. But you're treating." Amber grinned mischievously at him. Lars shrugged.
"Not a problem. How about you, Lumine? Paimon?"
" Well if you're treating, Paimon's definitely joining!" Paimon declared.
"And I'm kind of hungry myself. So a meal would be nice."
" Sweet! Let's explore around town for a while then. Then let's head to Good Hunter later."
They all agreed, and off they went exploring Mondstadt together with Amber acting as their tour guide. After a while, they arrived at Good Hunter, sitting around a table together.
"Welcome! What can I get for you today?" Sara, the owner of Good Hunter greeted, handing each of them menus. Amber, Lars and and Lumine all ordered their dishes after a moment of browsing. Then, Paimon surprise them by ordering three dishes for herself.
"Wow, Paimon. You sure you can finish them all?" Lars raised an eyebrow at her. Paimon puffed out her chest confidently.
"Heh! Who do you take Paimon for?! Every plate is gonna be squeaky clean when I'm the one eating!" They laughed together as they started a conversation with one another. Lars, Amber and Paimon were doing most of the talking while Lumine was silently listening, smiling softly.
"So Lumine, I have to ask. What brings you to Mondstadt?" Lars asked her.
"I'm just looking for my twin brother." Lumine answered simply. Of course, Lars knew the reason behind why she was searching for him, but obviously he wasn't going to say anything.
"Oh? What does he look like? Maybe I've seen him somewhere before." Lumine placed her finger on her chin, humming a little while figuring out how to describe her brother's looks to the black haired adventurer.
"Well for starters he's my twin. So our face looks the same. He has blonde hair that's long and braided. He also wears an earring that looks like an orb. His outfit is a mix of brown, gold and white."
"I see. Well I don't think I've seen a guy matching those descriptions. Sorry." Lars grinned sheepishly. Lumine shook her head.
"It's fine. I never expected my brother to be an easy find anyway. That just means we gotta try harder." Hearing her reply, Lars hummed and placed his chin on his hands.
"You must really love your brother huh?" He asked. Lumine sighed and smiled, albeit a little sadly.
"Of course. We don't have parents so all we have left is each other. We stuck by each other's side for so long but then...." Lumine's eyes darkened, her mind remembering what happened on that day. "He suddenly disappeared while we were travelling together."
"What happened exactly? Did you two fight someone?" Amber joined in, having a question of her own. Lumine nodded.
" We didn't stand a chance. My brother was taken away, leaving me to my current situation. But at least I met Paimon, so now I can start over." Paimon smirked proudly at her friend's words.
"Don't worry, Lumine. If I hear anything or see anything that's related to your brother, I'll notify you. You have my word." Lars nodded at her. Lumine smiled widely and nodded back.
"Thank you, Lars." Suddenly, the four of them noticed something strange. The bright blue sky was suddenly covered by dark grey clouds. Amber narrowed her eyes, almost knowing what was going to come next. "This isn't good..." She muttered as she looked at the knights patrolling the area.
"Evacuate the citizens!" She ordered. The knights nodded before doing what they were told. The wind suddenly picked up, becoming more violent like it was out to kill. Screams of panic could be heard during the chaos as Lars saw chairs and even some shrubbery flying past him, even the market stalls weren't safe. He found the unusually fast spinning of the giant windmills a little unsettling, like an omen of what's to come.
Lumine observed and saw a sea of concerned citizens in the middle of being evacuated to the cathedral by the knights. It seems Amber's order was quickly relayed to the others.
"Lumine... Paimon just got a really bad feeling..." Paimon muttered. Amber clenched her fists a little.
"It's here." Lars looked at her.
"What's here—"
"RAHHHHH!!!!" The four of them looked at the source of the roar as a giant dragon swooped over Mondstadt out of nowhere, its wings and giant body toppling the buildings in it's paths.
"Uh.... Didn't we see that dragon before...." Paimon muttered, scared out of her mind. Lumine's eyes were narrowed before widening as a giant debris was headed their way. She stretched out her hand before sending a blast of wind towards it.
At the same time, another blast of wind was sent towards the flying debris. The two blasts knocked away the debris. Lumine and Lars looked at each other and their outstretched hands.
"Nice timing." Lars smirked at her before focusing back on the situation at hand. They could hear cries of help everywhere. Amber gritted her teeth.
"I'll go help with the evacuation. You three... Just don't get yourselves killed!" Amber shouted as she rushed away. Lars looked at the dragon circling around the village.
"This is one hell of a first day." Lars commented, finding the situation a little bit funny. Paimon glanced at him.
"Um... Paimon thinks it's not a good time to be making jokes when there's a literal dragon before us." Lars laughed because looking at Lumine.
"So, you wanna do something about this? The knights have the evacuation and the rescuing handled, but who's gonna hold off the dragon?" Lars offered. Lumine didn't hesitate as she nodded at him. Lars grinned and cracked his knuckles.
"Alrighttt. Let's do this!" Lars shouted before he noticed someone approaching them. It was Katheryne and she was holding two devices in her hands.
"Lars, traveler. You two should take the fight to the skies. The evacuation isn't over yet, if you fight him on the ground, who knows what would happen?"
"How do you suggest we do that? My Anemo element isn't strong enough to let me create wings." Lars questioned.
"Same here." Lumine voiced her agreement.
" Then use this." Katheryne replied as she started attaching something to their backs.
"These are gliders." Katheryne explained. "It's mostly used for exploration purposes, but a smart warrior uses everything to his advantage, don't you agree?"
"How the hell do we operate this thing?!" Lars shouted as Katheryne continued to attach the gliders to their backs.
"Simple! The glider's connected to your thoughts! Just think about it and it'll blast you up!"
"What do you mean by that—WAH!" Lars shouted as he was suddenly launched high up in the air before the wings appeared, causing him to float in the air.
"Woahhh!!" Lumine widened her eyes as she was launched up too like Lars. The two floated in the air together as the dragon made another charge towards the city.
They looked at each other, before noticing several tornados forming around the city, sucking in whatever that is around them. Suddenly, the tornadoes were all dispelled by a mysterious force.
Just then, a mysterious voice appeared in both Lars and Lumine's heads.
"Yoohoo~ So it seems you guys wanna take on Stormterror huh?"
