"I'm preventing your fall with the power of a thousand winds." The mysterious male voice continued in both Lars and Lumine's minds. Suddenly, a bright green glow erupted from their bodies.
"Now, concentrate. See yourself grasping the wind. Harness its energy." Lumine looked at herself, finding that she was covered in a bright green aura. She looked over to Lars to find him in the same situation.
"Sweet! A power boost! Thanks Barbatos!" Lars replied to the voice in his head.
"Ah no problem— Wait huh?! How'd you know it was me—"
"No time to talk!" Lars cut him off before looking at Lumine. They both nodded at each other as they looked at the ominous dragon approaching them.
The aura around them flared up as their eye colors brightened. Both in synchrony, they held up their hands as they started firing giant bullets of wind towards Stormterror.
The bullets slammed into its head, disrupting the dragon's vision. The frequency of them firing the wind bullets became like gatling guns as the two anemo users realized the true limits of their increase in power.
Lumine narrowed her eyes as the dragon before her was now blocked with a giant plume of smoke. Then, a giant claw swiped the smoke away and went down towards her. Lumine held out her hand and summoned her blade, confronting the claw head on.
A loud crash echoed through the city, gathering everyone's attention as they looked at the mysterious girl fighting the dragon. Amber was in awe, Lumine was fighting against Stormterror, and the shocking part is that she seems to be doing well.
Stormterror didn't notice Lars suddenly disappearing from his sight before the man suddenly appeared on his head, his fist clad with Haki. With a swift move, he punched with full strength, resulting in another giant shockwave. The dragon roared in pain, adding with the boost of strength the Anemo Archon had gifted him, it was a sight to see.
It shook Lars off his head, launching the man upwards off his body. Then a large ball charged up in his opened mouth before he fired a beam straight at Lumine who gritted her teeth, pushing away the claw before focusing on the incoming beam.
Dodging was not a good idea, as it would mean that the beam would go straight to the city. Lumine decided to charged straight at it, the Anemo aura around her bright like the blue sky and expanding as she channeled more power. With a shout, she swung her sword, clashing with the beam.
"Lars, a little help here..." She gritted. Her full strength hasn't returned yet for some odd reason, the dragon wouldn't been a piece of cake if she hadn't lost her strength in that fight.
"I gotchu, princess." He muttered as he held out his hand. A sword then appeared before him as he grabbed it. A cutlass with a slightly curved blade appeared, shining brightly like the sun. Lars' mind flashed back to the moment Ningguang handed him said blade while coercing him to take on her mission.
"This blade, dare I say is one of the most powerful weapons ever created. Forged by the best blacksmiths from all over the world, it's unbreakable, and reacts well with Haki. It's your Ace card, Lars. Use it well."
"Oh I sure will." Lars grinned, returning to the present as he coated his blade with Haki before infusing it with the power of Anemo, a green aura shrouding it. Lars disappeared once again, appearing far away from Stormterror before clutching the cutlass with two hands.
"Eat this! DIVINE DEPARTURE!!!"
The whole of Mondstadt watched, as a giant curved black air blade zoomed towards the evil dragon's body. It hit it's mark, resulting in a giant explosion that engulfed Stormterror as it screamed loudly, almost immediately cancelling it's attack on Lumine who immediately appeared beside Lars in a flash.
As the explosion died out. Amber and the others felt something dripping down on their heads. "Is it raining?" One knight as as he held out his hand, only to shout in horror.
"What the—"
"This isn't rain...." Amber whispered, staring at her hand which was covered in a red liquid that continued to drizzle down from above.
"It's blood! That guy.... That guy managed to injure Stormterror!" One knight shouted, looking at Lars with a pure expression of disbelief. By now, a small area of Mondstadt was experiencing a rain of blood. Journalists working for various newspaper companies started snapping pictures, while adventurers were documenting too with their own cameras.
Lars and Lumine stared silently at Stormterror, blades clutched tightly. Suddenly, black lightning began to crackle around it.
"HOW DARE YOU!!!" It roared, it's ferocious aura of lightning expanding to the whole of Mondstadt. Lars and Lumine, the closest to the dragon was consequently blasted away by it.
"Conqueror's Haki!" Lumine muttered as she stared warily at Stormterror. "I'm more surprise at how it could talk!" Lars quipped, sweating a little from the evil dragon's aura.
Below them, there were a bunch of unconscious civilians, some foaming at the mouth. Some knights having weak wills were in the same condition. Amber herself was on one knee, holding on for dear life.
After his burst of power, Stormterror used it's chance to immediately take off at a certain direction, never to be seen again, for now....
Lars and Lumine exhaled as their weapons disappeared. They had won the fight, but it looked like Stormterror was still the superior one in the end. He looked at her.
"That was some good moves there." He held out a fist. Lumine smiled at his compliment.
"You're not so bad yourself. And that's an interesting blade you have there."
"Well, I could say the same to you. That's the most dull looking blade I've ever seen. But somehow it worked against that dragon." She giggled as they fist bumped each other.
"So, you wanna get some dinner after this? We really didn't get to eat due to that dragon ruining it." Lumine raised an eyebrow at him.
"Inviting me on a date, huh? What about Amber?"
"She can get it later. For now, I just wanna spend time with my amazing fighting partner." The blonde scoffed.
"Psshh. Whatever, playboy. Just don't be all talk and show up late."
