The crowd of fresh recruits waited with bated breath, their focus razor-sharp.
Naruto Uzumaki slowly floated upward into the air, coming to a hover above the massive island Tobitake Tonbo had just created.
He brought his hands together in a single seal.
"Sage Kurama Mode!"

A staggering, ocean-like volume of chakra instantly enveloped Naruto, turning his entire form into a brilliant shade of radiant yellow adorned with intricate dark markings.
It draped around him like a cloak of pure energy, wrapping his body in a shimmering aura.
"Oho! Time to put on a show again! Those kids from the previous graduating class were totally blown away—looks like this year's batch is in for the same treat!"
Inside Naruto's subconscious, Kurama sensed the recruits gathered in the distance and burst into a hearty laugh.
Aside from sleeping, the most enjoyable event of the year for him ever since these Ninja Academy orientation demonstrations started two years ago was this very showcase.
Every single time, he got to flex his supreme might. That sense of accomplishment from showing off was second to none.
Naruto replied in his inner mind, "Did you see Uncle Tonbo use a ninjutsu to construct an entire island out of thin air? If we go all out, we better make sure we completely obliterate that island. And it has to look absolutely breathtaking—we can't look any less impressive than Neji!"
He certainly wasn't about to be outshone by Neji.
"Rest easy! We've made plenty of progress over these past few years too. Heh, I have to admit, that kid Tobitake Tonbo makes some incredible stuff. To think his inventions could actually help me make strides in power—he's truly something else."
Kurama split his massive jaws, flashing a ferocious, beastly grin.
He was no longer just a hot-headed powerhouse; he was now a exceptionally wise and calculating Tailed Beast.
Naruto burst into a booming laugh. "Hahaha! Then let's show Uncle Tonbo that even after becoming Hokage and dealing with endless mountains of paperwork every day, our progress hasn't lagged behind his one bit!"
"Let's do this, Kurama!" Naruto's eyes blazed with intense resolve as his roar resounded through the clouds.
"OH!" Kurama bellowed back from within, his immense, boundless chakra surging forth in an instant.
"Sage Art: Planetary Rasenshuriken!"
Accompanying Naruto's roar, a staggering volume of chakra—so vast it made one's heart skip a beat—erupted from his body. This torrent of chakra rushed toward the sky like an unstoppable, roaring flood.
It was not one bit inferior to Neji's earlier display; in fact, because the raw aura was exposed and unleashed, the sensory impact on the recruits was even more overwhelming.
Naruto thrust his right hand forward. In a split second, brilliant radiance illuminated the sky as countless Rasenshuriken—each imbued with entirely different elemental natures—materialized out of thin air! Some flickered with scorching, white-hot flames capable of incinerating anything in their path; others emitted a bone-chilling frost that sent shivers down the spine; still others surged with violent, wild magnetic forces that warped the very space around them.
Lava Release, Boil Release, Water Release, Fire Release, Magnet Release... A plethora of elemental natures intertwined in the sky, forming a magnificent yet lethal spectacle across the heavens, resembling a cluster of brilliant stellar bodies glowing in broad daylight.
Every single Rasenshuriken spun at a blinding speed, generating immense atmospheric pressure that caused the surrounding air to churn violently.
The howling gales roared like ten thousand galloping horses, their deafening thunder echoing straight into the ears of the recruits standing below.
Gazing up at the dazzling array of jutsu that resembled a full planetary belt, the recruits stared wide-eyed with their jaws hanging wide open, every face paralyzed in utter disbelief.
The sheer, crushing pressure wafting down made it difficult for them to breathe, making their hearts feel as if they had stopped beating altogether. Compared to the jutsu Neji had used earlier, the raw aura Naruto was unleashing right now felt even more terrifying. That mountain-crushing, sea-draining sense of dread filled everyone present with instinctual awe.
"Heavens above... that's the Rasengan!"
"What do you mean, 'Rasengan'?! That's an S-rank Forbidden Jutsu—the Rasenshuriken!"
"As expected of my old man! This move is insanely cool! I'm definitely going to master this in the future!"
Boruto stared up at his father's technique, his face lit up with wild excitement.
This is my dad's true power!
He's not one bit less impressive than anyone who went before him!
And that chakra cloak on him looks insanely cool—totally different from his everyday look.
No wonder Mom fell for him.
Mitsuki used his own chakra to form a protective buffer against the crushing aura, exhaling in admiration. "As expected of the Hokage. His true strength really is mind-boggling."
Aside from Neji and Tobitake Tonbo, this was the most mind-blowing demonstration he had ever witnessed.

"Hmph, you better not. If you dare pull a stunt like that in front of these fresh recruits, see if I don't beat you black and blue!" Moegi huffed coldly, her eyes narrowing threatingly.
"Ahaha, there's no way I'd ever use it! Absolutely not!"
"It better be."
Watching the two of them banter back and forth, Shino Aburame—standing right next to them—felt green with envy.
Among all his former close companions, it felt like he was the only one who didn't have a partner, nor a child of his own...
Even Lee had adopted a child to raise.
Damn it. I've already solved my lack of presence issue, so why haven't I found someone yet?
Is it because I'm not handsome enough?
Shino couldn't help but picture his own face in front of the mirror. Could it be that people's aesthetic tastes just don't favor the Aburame style? Or do they just dislike my choice of attire? Should I change my look?

Before long... a massive blanket of stunned, dead fish floated to the surface, attracting schools of carnivorous fish from surrounding territories to come swarming over for a feast.
