Chapter 12: Kurenai Arranged Too!

"Sensei, the Sharingan is the Uchiha clan's exclusive kekkei genkai. No ordinary person could possess that level of ocular power."

Kakashi answered Minato truthfully.

"I understand."

"Kakashi, stay here and protect Kushina."

The situation was too serious to treat lightly.

Although all evidence currently pointed toward the Uchiha clan, Minato didn't dare jump to conclusions.

After instructing Kakashi, he vanished in a flash toward the Hokage's office to report everything to the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, planning to discuss and decide carefully.

After abducting Kurenai, Oborotsuki didn't rush back to Konan. Instead, he brought her to a hidden mountain cave.

Deep in the wilderness, rarely visited by anyone, it was once one of Akatsuki's secret contact points—now long abandoned.

When they arrived, Kurenai was still unconscious.

Looking at the delicate, beautiful girl, Oborotsuki shook his head helplessly. "Too bad… I already used the Pregnancy Card on Konan."

Suddenly remembering the earlier reward, he quickly opened his system inventory.

"Ding! Use Harem Grand Gift Package?"

"Use successful! Congratulations! You have obtained: 100% Favorability Card ×1, Pregnancy Card ×1!"

[100% Favorability Card] Use on any target to erase all negative memories of the user, instantly granting 100% favorability toward the user. Guaranteed success, permanent effect!

Simple description.

Seeing the reward, Oborotsuki glanced at the unconscious Kurenai—corners of his mouth rising into a smile.

No hesitation. He activated the Favorability Card on her.

Right after, Kurenai slowly woke up.

She sat up instinctively, rubbing her sore neck in confusion. "Where… where am I?"

Kurenai looked around blankly, then noticed Oborotsuki. "Who are you?"

She stood, curiously studying the handsome, youthful stranger.

As expected… she remembered nothing of what happened before.

Oborotsuki was secretly delighted.

The system's products truly were overpowered.

"You passed out in the woods earlier. I found you and brought you here to safety."

Oborotsuki leaned against the cave wall, arms crossed, answering calmly.

"You… saved me…"

Kurenai looked doubtful, straining to recall anything—but her mind was blank.

"Right… who am I?"

She frowned, scratching her head.

"No way…"

Oborotsuki's eyes narrowed slightly.

The effect was this strong? She'd even forgotten her own identity?

"You're asking me? I'd like to know too…"

He tested her.

Seeing her grow even more confused, he knew it had worked perfectly.

"…Weird. I can't remember anything."

"So… who are you?"

Kurenai asked again, puzzled.

"I'm Oborotsuki."

"Thank you for saving me, Oborotsuki."

She nodded, then curiously walked toward the cave entrance.

"Where are you going?"

Oborotsuki asked.

"I… don't know."

"It's dangerous outside."

"Dangerous?"

Kurenai paused and turned back.

"If you don't mind, stay with me for now."

Oborotsuki seized the moment, not bothering with lengthy explanations.

Kurenai hesitated.

She couldn't remember her name, her past, or anything about the world outside.

This man was a stranger, yet… she felt an inexplicable sense of comfort and trust around him.

"I'll help you figure out who you are later."

Seeing her waver, he added gently.

"…Okay."

Kurenai finally nodded.

"I'm taking you somewhere now."

Oborotsuki said.

"Somewhere?"

Before she could ask more, he took her hand and activated Flying Thunder God—both vanishing instantly.

Land of Water, Kirigakure outskirts.

Hōzuki clan grounds.

Mayumi was fetching water for cooking when two figures suddenly appeared in the courtyard.

"Oborotsuki, you're back?"

Since Oborotsuki never minded that she was a pregnant runaway—and treated both her and the unborn child with genuine care—Mayumi had naturally developed deep affection and reliance on him.

During downtime between Akatsuki missions, he'd occasionally bring small, thoughtful gifts and visit.

For someone who had suffered constant persecution, such simple romance was intoxicating. Once she'd nearly lost control in the heat of the moment.

Oborotsuki had gently stopped her, worried about harming the baby with his size—leaving her deeply touched.

In his absences, she often lay awake, longing for his return.

But now, the joy on Mayumi's face quickly turned to surprise and caution.

Her gaze shifted to the girl beside him. "And this is…?"

Seeing a strange girl appear suddenly, Uzumaki Mayumi immediately went on guard.

"This is…"

Oborotsuki glanced at the blooming flowers in the courtyard—some a vivid crimson.

"You're so beautiful, just like these blooming flowers. From now on, I'll call you Red, okay?"

"Red?"

Kurenai followed his gaze to the flowers, then smiled sweetly and nodded. "Okay."

Unable to recall her real name, she was happy with the new one he gave her.

"This is Mayumi, my concubine."

Oborotsuki introduced them.

Soon, Mayumi understood: Kurenai (now "Red") had also been rescued by Oborotsuki and brought here.

Her wariness eased.

"I was just about to cook…"

Mayumi touched her growing belly and looked up at Oborotsuki. "Will you stay for dinner today?"

"To be honest, I've never tasted your cooking, Mayumi."

Oborotsuki thought for a moment—dinner wouldn't delay him much—so he agreed.

"I'll help!"

Red immediately stepped forward, eagerly taking the water bucket from Mayumi.

Over the course of the meal, Red and Mayumi grew comfortable with each other. They chatted and helped one another naturally—even without Oborotsuki present.

Watching the two laugh and work together, Oborotsuki felt at ease.

He glanced at the remaining Pregnancy Card in his inventory, then at Red, and shook his head.

No need to waste it on her. With effort later, he could get her pregnant naturally.

He mused: if he secretly impregnated Tsunade… or even the White Snake Sage from Ryūchi Cave… would the rewards be even richer?

And what about an Ōtsutsuki?

"Well then, both of you stay here and wait for me. I have work to do."

During dinner, Oborotsuki explained he was a freelance ninja, taking jobs across countries and often traveling.

Neither Mayumi nor Red doubted him.

"Be careful out there, Oborotsuki!"

Mayumi said gently.

"Come back to see us soon."

Red smiled and waved.

"Don't worry."

Oborotsuki waved back.

Then, without hesitation, he activated Flying Thunder God and vanished.

Konan was still waiting at their rendezvous point on the Land of Fire border… she must be worried by now.
