Chapter 6 - 006 - Chakra Enhancement

Early the next morning, Higashino Makoto got up on time.

Last night, he had extracted Chakra repeatedly for several rounds, and in his spiritual body state, he had seduced Natural Energy and resisted its decomposition force. It could be considered a rich nightlife.

He was still wondering if he would be mentally exhausted today.

Unexpectedly, when he woke up in the morning, not only did his body feel light and healthy, but even his mind was clearer than usual.

He felt refreshed.

Did that mean those filtered white mist-like Natural Energies had a nourishing effect on the body and spirit?

This would require careful observation and experience to conclude in the future, but based on the current situation, it didn't seem bad.

His parents, who had consumed too much alcohol last night, were still fast asleep. Higashino Makoto didn't disturb them. As usual, he simply heated up the ready-made boiled eggs, bread, and milk in the refrigerator, ate a nutritious breakfast, and went straight to the training ground.

He didn't know if there was sun at 4 AM in Los Angeles.

But there wasn't any at 5 AM in the Hidden Leaf Village.

He had stayed up a bit late last night and hadn't slept the full 8 hours as usual, yet he felt no sleepiness or fatigue at all.

Very good, very energetic.

It seemed that with the nourishment of Natural Energy, he wouldn't have to worry about lack of sleep affecting his body in the future, giving him much more time for daily cultivation and study.

If this were in his previous life, he would simply have the "Congenital Beast of Burden Body."

Wait, no. I'm cultivating supernatural powers, damn it. Why should I be a beast of burden for you guys?

I don't eat beef!

Soon, Higashino Makoto began his daily physical exercise. But unlike before, now he was a prospective ninja who could refine and use Chakra.

Sitting quietly, forming the Ram seal with his hands, spiritual energy and physical energy combined smoothly to form Chakra, flowing into his meridians.

When he stood up again, he immediately sensed a whole new world.

His body became much lighter, and his dynamic vision was enhanced; the leaves falling from the big trees seemed to move a bit slower.

Higashino Makoto reached out with lightning speed, catching a leaf that flew right in front of him, and examined it in a trance.

The veins on the leaf were clearly visible, and its complete appearance was imprinted in his mind. His vision and instant memory had also been strengthened.

After thinking for a few seconds, he walked up to a big tree and kicked it with a front thrust. The tree didn't break, which meant he hadn't cultivated to the point of breaking trees with one kick yet; he was just a newbie who had just learned to use Chakra.

But his strength had indeed increased a lot. The big tree shook violently, and fallen leaves drifted down like snowflakes.

Higashino Makoto struck out with both hands repeatedly and quickly caught two handfuls of leaves. His reaction speed had also increased significantly.

After experiencing the comprehensive enhancement of his body by Chakra, Higashino Makoto was extremely excited and immediately began running laps. Instantly, his body was like an arrow leaving the string, speeding through the training ground much faster than usual.

As he ran, he felt like his light body was about to fly. However, this was just an illusion; Earth-kun's gravity would tell him that flying was impossible.

He couldn't fly, but he could jump. What ninja walks properly anyway? Don't they all jump around in high places?

Running, Higashino Makoto looked up and saw the branches of a big tree ahead.

He bent his legs, exerted force, and leaped vertically. His whole body launched into the air, and the targeted landing spot approached rapidly in his vision.

"Eh, not right. Too much force. I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die! Ah!"

Higashino Makoto flew past the selected branch and, with a scream, crashed straight into a tree further ahead, like a picture pasted onto it.

He then fell to the ground, lying on the grass with his eyes staring blankly at the tree canopy in mid-air.

This crash and fall took him a while to catch his breath. After standing up, he touched his face with his left hand and rubbed his back with his right, grinning in pain.

His first powerful jump, and he hadn't controlled the strength and distance well, crashing directly into a tree.

He looked at the trees with sprawling branches around the training ground. After thinking for a moment, he jumped more than ten times in various directions on the spot, feeling the contrast between the force used and the height achieved.

Having some idea in his mind, he carefully jumped onto a branch of the tree beside him, then looked at the next foothold, estimated the distance, exerted force with his legs, and quickly jumped over.

Calculation error, insufficient force. But this time he didn't hit the tree. Higashino Makoto quickly hugged the branch with both hands, flipped over to stand on it, and continued jumping toward the next point.

In the gaps between the trees, the small figure was like a gray langur that had just learned to traverse the forest, slowly changing position between the big trees. It seemed that before every jump, he had to calculate in his brain how long the distance was and how much force to use.

As time passed, his maneuvering speed in the woods became faster and faster, and the distance grew farther and farther.

After depleting the extracted Chakra, he immediately sat cross-legged on the tree to extract Chakra again.

But the amount extracted the second time seemed far less than the first.

The sky brightened, and the sun leaped over the horizon.

Finally, during another leap, Higashino Makoto felt his body go soft, his foot slipped, and he fell straight to the ground as if losing power.

Thud!

He didn't fall onto the grass but landed in someone's arms.

Higashino Makoto took a look; it was his father. He didn't know when he had arrived at this training ground.

Seeing his son gasping for breath, Higashino Jiro carried him out of the woods and placed him on the open ground of the training ground.

Seeing this usually precocious brat who always had a plan and never embarrassed himself now bruised and swollen, his heart blossomed with joy. After all, he finally looked like a child who had gotten a new toy.

He couldn't help teasing, "Did you hit a tree?"

Feeling the warmth of the spring morning light, Higashino Makoto didn't admit it but asked instead, "Mr. Higashino, did you also hit trees when you were young?"

"Cough, cough!" Higashino Jiro also didn't admit it, and the question changed to another angle. "Do you feel like your Chakra has decreased? Even though you could extract it repeatedly last night, today you became weak before even reaching two times?"

It seems he had been hiding and peeping for a while.

Higashino Makoto knew why. "Last night, the extracted Chakra all dissipated back into my body, so I could cultivate multiple times. Today, the extracted Chakra was used up by me. Is that right, Father?"

"Your grasp of basic knowledge is good; that is indeed the case. Although in my opinion, you are indeed a genius with a decent amount of Chakra from the start, you are only 4 years old after all. This amount is only relative to your peers or those two or three years older than you.

"Overall, it is still small. Don't mess around like this in the future. Excessive extraction will affect your health. For now, everything should prioritize your development and growth. Understood?"

"I understand, Father. Thanks for the reminder!" Higashino Makoto had indeed gotten a bit carried away today.

"Good that you know. Let me take you back!"

Lying on Higashino Jiro's back, they walked out of the small forest and into the street.

The shops on both sides were open, food stalls were steaming, and pedestrians were walking in twos and threes. There were ordinary people and ninjas, some eating breakfast, some buying groceries—a scene of bustling worldly life.

All of this made Higashino Makoto feel as if a lifetime had passed, recalling his childhood in his previous life when his father carried him to the market.

Just like now, they both had broad backs.

Upon returning home, Higashino Megumi had already made breakfast. Seeming to know what would happen today, she made a lot more than usual.

After Higashino Makoto washed up, he didn't even bother changing out of his dirty clothes and immediately started stuffing his face.

He was indeed starving.

Higashino Megumi smiled and extended her hand to her son's face, emitting a faint green light.

After a while, she began treating the bruises on his back.

Medical Ninjutsu, the magical and efficient treatment method of the Naruto world.

The benefits of transmigrating into the Ninja World with both parents, one of whom is a medical ninja, became apparent. There was someone to teach him things, and he didn't even need to go to the hospital when injured.

He also came with a happiness BUFF, which was much more useful than an "unlimited mana" BUFF.

After the treatment, Higashino Megumi looked at her son and said seriously, "Injury and pain are the best teachers. They let you know that wanting to be a powerful ninja is not that easy. Even if you are a genius, you cannot be willful or proud; you need to take it one step at a time."

"Indeed a good teacher. Don't worry, I will be more careful in the future, Mom."

Higashino Jiro smiled and ate his breakfast without speaking.

Every ninja has gone through this. Sometimes preaching is useless; only by tasting pain will the memory be deep.

No matter how magical Chakra is, it cannot be achieved overnight. It takes enough time to master and use it.
