Swoosh!
Inside the forest, Akira jumped from branch to branch, the ground under him blurring as if it were a high-speed river. His eyes focused on a cursed spirit in the distance.
Akira flicked his finger slightly.
Boom!
Splash!
A concentrated blast of air was sent towards the grade 3 cursed spirit. The cursed spirit didn't even notice as a hole the size of a bowling ball was blown into its cranium.
Bang!
The body fell to the ground before vanishing into a burst of black smoke, along with its purple blood. Akira looked up at a camera attached to a tree and grinned before vanishing.
[Monitor room.]
"How is he able to kill cursed spirits without the use of cursed energy or cursed tools? This goes against Jujutsu itself!" Gakuganji stared at the screen in shock, turning to Gojo for answers he desperately wanted.
"Did Akira manage to awaken a cursed technique? Otherwise, there should be no way to harm cursed spirits without cursed energy," Utahime asked with squinted eyes, curiosity in her eyes as she put a point on the Tokyo team.
The scores were a staggering 10 - 25 for Tokyo.
"No, Akira hasn't awakened a cursed technique out of nowhere, nor does he have more cursed energy. What he did was strike the soul," Gojo replied, a thoughtful expression on his face.
'He must be able to hit the soul due to his weird X-ray vision or something...' Gojo thought, accepting that as an answer since he didn't know any other way.
Boom!
Another cursed spirit exploded on the screen.
Gojo chuckled as he watched Akira appear on another camera, kicking a cursed spirit into pieces before vanishing.
On another camera, Maki sliced one in half, while in another one, Yuka slashed a cursed spirit in half.
"Strike the soul... Is this something humans can do? There has never been any information of a sorcerer doing this," Gakuganji asked with an intense quiet.
'This brat is more dangerous than I thought... If his descendants can do the same thing, won't normal sorcerers go out of business?' Gakuganji thought, unable to believe his own thoughts.
"No information on sorcerers doing this? That's because they never told anyone... Besides, Akira isn't a sorcerer," Gojo shrugged his shoulder since he also didn't know.
Even he couldn't hit a soul. He could only see it due to his Six Eyes, and even that's barely an outline.
"Akira is amazing..." Utahime muttered like an obsessive fangirl quietly under her breath, her black eyes shining as she watched the cameras, adding another point to Tokyo.
Swoosh!
Megumi rushed forward, his body blurring as he used reinforcement to boost his stats.
He reached a Grade 4 curse and punched it in the head before it could react, knocking it into a tree, which broke in half from the force.
The curse slumped down, unmoving, with all his bones broken, before disolving into a bunch of black ashes. Megumi walked forward, and his hair suddenly stood on end.
Clap!
A stone flew past Megumi's head, which he quickly dodged by barely an inch. Megumi looked back in a hurry, only to see nothing behind him, but the sound of a clap.
"What!-"
Megumi spun back around in shock, only for a kick to connect with his chest.
Megumi's eyes bulged in pain, cold sweat soaking his forehead. His chest ached; the force launched him flying into a row of trees, breaking them in half like toothpicks.
Bam!
Megumi hit the ground in the distance, kicking up a cloud of dust as he spun onto his feet, creating a trench under him.
"What force... If not for the training with Akira, that would have knocked me out before," Megum wiped his mouth, smearing blood on his hand as the ache in his chest lingered.
He barely managed to unload some force from the kick by directing it into the ground, saving himself from having his ribs cracked.
Megumi looked at Todo in the distance with caution, his expression tense with an underlying anger in his eyes.
"Not bad, Megumi Fushiguro! But this was simply a kick, the real fight begins next!" Todo grinned, his eyes going white as he kicked off the ground, cracking it and turning into a blur.
"Divine Dogs!"
Megumi summoned his Divine Dogs, who bared their sharp canines at Todo, growling. Their hind legs dug into the ground before shooting forward like lightning, ready to rip Todo to shreds.
'I'll attack him when he is distracted by the Divine Dogs,' Megumi melted into his shadow and vanished from the area.
"He merged wiht the shadows?" Todo watched with interest, his gaze divided between the Divine Dogs and his own shadow.
Boom!
Todo kicked the white dog in the head, sending it flying towards a thick tree at high speed. The black dog lunged forward, about to bite his thighs, when Todo clapped.
Clap!
The white dog swapped places with the black dog.
The black dog let out a painful roar as it slammed into the tree unprepared in the distance, the sound of a tree snapping in half echoing.
Meanwhile, the white dog took its place and was kicked by Todo again, knocking it to the ground and creating a crater.
A dust cloud was created from the crater. The dust blocked Todo's vision for barely a millisecond, but it was enough.
Swoosh!
Megumi jumped out of Todo's shadow, his fist pulled back and lunging towards Todo's chin.
"I knew you'd take the chance to attack!" Todo spoke, his eyes locked with Megumi. Todo was prepared for the sudden attack, pulling his head back as Megumi's fist grazed his chin.
Boom!
"Ugh!"
Megumi coughed up blood as Todo's kick struck his chest,s ending him flying like an arrow. Mid-air, Todo jumped after him and stomped his feet onto his flying body, slamming him into the ground with a loud bang.
"Not bad for a boring person like you, Megumi Fushiguro. It seems you are a little interested after all," Todo spoke as he watched Megumi get up from a crater, his body limping and leaning over.
"But it's time to end this-"
"No," Megumi interrupted.
"It's already finished." Turning around, Megumi walked away, leaving Todo to himself as the Divine Dogs melted into the shadows.
A few seconds later, Todo slumped forward, knocked out cold, face-first in the dirt. The previous sneak attack by Megumi wasn't aimed to hit, but to graze.
The moment Megumi's fist touched Todo's chin, Megumi made sure to explode his cursed energy-coated fist outward violently, striking his chin and rattling his brain.
It's one of Akira's techniques that he managed to learn in a month.
In the air, a worried Momo slowly flew down and took Todo up into the air with a struggle.
"I knew he was gonna get in trouble one of these days due to messing with someone," Momo sighed as she looked at Todo's knocked-out face, irritation in her tone.
Meanwhile...
Boom!
A dozen meters of ground turned into dust as Maki lazily stomped on the ground. The shockwave caused a Grade 2 spirit to be launched into the air.
Swosh!
Bang!
Kimitsu shot out like a bullet, the chain of a Thousand Miles attached to the handle. It pierced through the curse as if a hot knife through butter, scattering it into ashes.
In another area.
Yuka used Projection Sorcery to zi around the area, her sword coated in a massive amount of cursed energy, slicing a Grade 2 curse in half with a single swing.
Boom!
The ground exploded into a massive crack stretching a dozen meters as the cursed energy and momentum flew off in a shockwave.
Akira, on the other hand, came to a halt in the outer edges of the competition, his hands in his pockets as he gazed at the sky, his eyes narrowed.
"Another one of those crows... I really need to ask someone if anyone has a cursed technique related to crows," Akira sighed as he pointed his finger into the air, sending a concentrated blast of air, piercing through the crow.
Boom!
The crow exploded into a mist of blood from the air blast.
Shigan, a technique he created based on a Manga he recently read called Two Piece, created by the mangaka Edo Period.
A legendary Manga indeed.
