Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 – Stella Resonance

Levi tapped Hestia's thigh, signaling her to get off him. He then grabbed some parchment and a pen, writing down the contents of the Level 3 Genshin Pool one by one.

The twin-tailed goddess sat beside the boy, asking carefully about the effect of every new term she saw.

Levi patiently read out the descriptions that only he could see, over and over again.

After an hour of this...

"Levi, I think I understand your original plan," Hestia said calmly, a thoughtful look on her face. "First, draw a Mid-Tier Constellation Voucher biased towards attack for either the Skill or Burst, and one Vision, to enhance your battlefield output capability. Then, draw five Mid-Tier Artifact Vouchers to gain the most basic yet direct bonus to all stats. If you happen to 'spook'—hmm, that's the word, right?—a 5-Star melee weapon in the process, use it directly. If not, specifically draw a 'Key of Khaj-Nisut' with the substat of increasing Max HP."

"This way, with the bonuses from the artifacts and weapon, plus your 'Mana Burst', even if you encounter a Level 5 enemy later, you should be able to block them relatively easily with a shield that has a Level 4 base."

"That is, assuming you chose 'Spirit Healing' as your Developmental Ability when leveling to Level 3, instead of the current 'Genshin'."

Levi nodded.

Magic allows one to fight above their level. Even the most common, seemingly useless spells like Fireball or Ice Arrow have the advantages of no-chant rapid fire and low mana consumption.

However, low mana consumption doesn't mean mental energy won't deplete during battle.

Why is the Loki Familia's 'Nine Hells' so renowned? Isn't it because she is ostensibly the only person in Orario with the 'Spirit Healing' Developmental Ability? As long as she uses magic, her mental energy automatically recovers. With just a little care, she can transform into a powerful mage turret for extended periods.

Originally, Levi could have become a similar exception.

With 'Spirit Healing', he could have even designated the Mid-Tier Artifact Vouchers to get the 'Tenacity of the Millelith' set, whose 2-piece effect is 'Massive Increase in Endurance', maximizing his tankiness.

But now, that plan needed a slight alteration.

Hestia continued, "'Genshin', as your unique Developmental Ability, won't necessarily be worse than 'Spirit Healing'. In fact, just the 'Constellation Resonance' skill alone is enough to make your future even more brilliant."

"So, I should max out the Constellation for 'Trifolium' (Klee—wait no, Diona is Trifolium, the text calls it 'Little Cat' so I will stick to context: Feles) first?" Levi picked up on his goddess's implication.

Hestia didn't deny it. "If I were you, I would indeed do that."

"Alright, let's do it."

Having received his lover's advice, Levi hesitated no longer. He clicked on the Level 2 Genshin Pool and selected the Low-Tier Constellation Voucher as the rate-up item.

Then, 600k, 1.4m, 700k, 1.3m—a total of 4 million Valis vanished in an instant.

[Developmental Ability: Luck I → Luck H (Guaranteed Pity Count -10, Specified Item Rate Up +20%)]

With the Developmental Ability 'Luck', Levi's fortune had indeed become much better than at the very beginning.

At least, not every round of drawing required waiting until the very last moment to trigger the 50/50 or the Guaranteed Pity.

However, the two items that 'spooked' this time were both Catalyst-type equipment. They were of no use to Levi, so he could only toss them into his inventory to gather dust for now.

Inside the Cryo Vision, the final four stars symbolizing the 'Feles' (Little Cat) constellation were lit up in succession.

Immediately after, an unbearable sensation of hunger suddenly surged in Levi's heart.

He didn't suppress his desire; instead, following his instinct, he used the 'Stella Resonance' skill.

Subsequently, Hestia, standing by the side, saw six stars faintly light up behind Levi's back.

Their arrangement was unmistakably the 'Feles' constellation!

"Constellations... Fate... Power... and the False Sky, the law that the living must die..."

The twin-tailed goddess's pupils burst with azure light. As she gazed at her dependent, her divine aura permeated the air for a moment.

After about ten seconds, the anomaly disappeared, and Hestia exhaled a murky breath. "I see. The other world linked by Levi through the [Unknown] isn't exactly peaceful either~"

Compared to the goddess who understood the general situation of the Genshin world after just a few glances, Levi, who was channeling the Stella Resonance, was undergoing a journey of memories.

He transformed into a cat-girl named 'Diona Katzlein'.

From birth to death.

From a mere child to a frail elder.

Diona was just a bartender; she never experienced any major upheavals in her life.

There were only two exceptions. First, when she obtained her Vision, her fate was thoroughly anchored by the False Sky.

Second, because of her firm belief in the legend of the 'Spring Fairy', without her knowing, she was granted the blessing that 'her cup would forever be filled with fine wine'.

When Levi opened his eyes again, more than two hours had passed.
