The Dungeon of the Danmachi world is actually 'alive'.
It holds extreme malice towards all living beings on the surface.
And that isn't even the scariest part.
If a god enters the dungeon and 'inadvertently' reveals their divine aura (Arcanum), then, out of disgust for the gods, the dungeon will instantly spawn a type of monster stronger than the normal species and capable of countering divine power—the 'God Slayer' (Juggernaut / Black Monster).
For example, the 'Pitch-Black Infant Dragon', which theoretically should only be born on the 11th or 12th floor, was now spawned on the 5th floor.
Levi had watched the anime in his previous life, so he knew the birth principle of the 'God Slayer', or rather, the 'Pitch-Black Monster'.
In his original plan, he intended to spread Hestia's divine aura in a corner of the 1st floor to see if he could trigger the dungeon to spawn a Pitch-Black Goblin or Pitch-Black Kobold.
