Chapter 136 - Chapter 136 : Heading to Holy Terra

The Bridge of the Macragge's Honour.

"They won't be in trouble, will they?"

Grand Master Amaric of the Black Templars looked at the God Chosen who, after being resurrected in the church, quickly received their equipment and were immediately summoned away, a worried expression on his face.

Archmagos Cawl, Living Saint Celestine, Grand Master Woldaes of the Grey Knights, and other Imperial heroes also gathered around the control console, awaiting Shyrllian's answer.

"Magnus is gathering forces to encircle and annihilate the Master and the Primarch; they are in a predicament."

Upon hearing this, everyone's heart tightened.

"The Cursed Legion and the God Chosen were summoned, and they helped the Master and the Primarch escape their predicament."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"The team is retreating towards the Webway gate to Luna, but the enemy is in hot pursuit."

"Fateweaver Kairos has also appeared; they are massacring the God Chosen and The Cursed Warriors."

Everyone's heart tightened again.

"..."

"But the Master and the Primarch are already close to the Webway gate."

"..."

Shyrllian continuously relayed the information she received to everyone, and their emotions fluctuated like a roller coaster.

"The Primarch and the Saint are retreating to Luna; we need to find someone to meet them."

Woldaes stood up.

"Titan has special emergency communications; I will try to notify them to set sail as soon as possible and inform the Imperial forces in the Sol System to prepare to meet the Primarch and the Saint."

"I'll help you," Celestine said.

"Good."

The two hurried out of the Bridge to send an emergency message to Titan.

"They saw the Webway exit, but Magnus and Kairos also caught up."

"The Master and the Primarch have arrived at Luna; the Aeldari are trying to seal the Webway entrance."

"The sealing failed, and Magnus and Kairos charged out with Daemons and traitors."

"..."

Shyrllian continued to broadcast the battle situation, making everyone anxious, yet helpless, only able to pray silently.

......

A fierce deathmatch was erupting on the surface of the Moon.

The Webway exit was located in a deep, circular valley on the lunar surface.

There were many abandoned vehicles here: tanks, transport ships, and even dilapidated spacecraft.

Visibility within the valley was very low; the void's starlight was dim and obscured by the circular mountain range, providing only limited illumination to the valley floor.

But at this moment, the valley floor became extraordinarily bright, as the radiance of arcane arts and artillery fire intertwined, illuminating this dim world.

Red Letter Warriors marched out of the Webway gate in neat formation, firing at the Imperial party.

Next came roaring Daemons of Fear and Sorcerers riding on flying disks, continuously using sorcery to unleash flames and frost.

Guilliman was decisive; he ordered his troops to fire while retreating towards the top of the circular valley.

This was a very risky decision, leaving the Imperial party completely exposed to enemy fire.

Fortunately, Luna is a low-gravity world, and their climbing speed was quite impressive.

Eventually, under the enemy's artillery bombardment, the Imperial party successfully reached the mountaintop.

Next, it was time for a counterattack.

Guilliman quickly organized his men, occupying the high ground and firing down on the enemy from above.

The advantage of the high ground was utilized to its fullest, as fierce firepower wove into a deadly net, falling upon the traitors and the soulless.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Continuous violent explosions overturned the climbing traitors and shredded the howling soulless.

Shyrllian and other Harlequins also joined the battlefield.

They threw volleys of shuriken and monomolecular cutting lines, tearing apart the Sorcerers and the Daemon flying disks beneath their feet.

"My foolish brother, do you think this will guarantee victory?"

Magnus chanted ancient incantations that had existed in Immaterium before humanity was even born.

Eerie psychic radiance enveloped the Thousand Sons Legion and numerous Daemons.

The traitors and Daemons, who had just been in disarray and unable to break through the Imperial fire blockade, now manifested psychic shields.

The shields absorbed all damage taken by the traitors and Daemons.

Suddenly, they became invulnerable, difficult to kill.

They began to climb the circular mountain range, enduring the Imperial artillery fire.

Kairos also waved his staff, continuously summoning colossal fireballs and meteors, smashing them onto the loyalist defense line.

Guilliman could only order a retreat, establishing new defenses by relying on rocks and the wreckage of abandoned vehicles.

Through sorcery, Magnus led the Thousand Sons Legion and the soulless to the top of the mountain.

"Magnus."

Guilliman looked at his former brother and roared.

He once again charged towards the opponent's position.

The Red Letters and Daemons along the way were no match for the Primarch and were all slain.

"This time, you're not the only one with help."

Magnus's single eye looked at Guilliman, his wings flapped violently, and then he dove towards his opponent.

The Staff of the Crimson King swept horizontally, mighty and heavy, carrying the evil power of the Warp.

The Emperor's Sword barely blocked the attack but could not negate the kinetic impact of Magnus's dive.

The two Primarchs tumbled, smashing through several dilapidated vehicles, and rolled into the dust.

Even so, they continued to fight, trying every means to attack each other.

Fist against flesh, giving no quarter.

Alex wanted to help, but Kairos landed in front of him at that moment.

"It's better not to disturb their brotherly reunion."

Kairos's two heads looked at Alex.

"Two-headed bird!"

Alex gripped the Staff of Retribution in one hand, and slowly drew the Holy Judgement Blade with the other.

"Poor soul, fooled by The Cursed one."

Kairos raised his staff and began to tempt Alex with words.

"Everything that rotting corpse can promise is a lie; all you gain by following him is pain."

"But my Master is different; my Master holds the knowledge and secrets of the entire universe. As long as you are willing, the gates of the Hall of Truth will open for you."

"Did you trick that one-eyed Ogryn the same way back then?" Alex retorted.

Magnus, who was battling Guilliman in the distance, felt a wave of anger upon hearing this.

I'm already so far from you, and you can still drag me into this?

Are you deliberately picking on one person?

This is unbearable! The Crimson King will not tolerate this!!

Bang!

When Magnus was distracted, Guilliman seized the opportunity and landed a heavy punch on the Daemon Primarch, shattering the face that had just been repaired.

"Guilliman!"

Magnus roared, consumed by fury.

The Daemon Primarch raised his staff, its tip coalescing with arcane radiance, and then unleashed a powerful burst, sending the charging Guilliman flying.

Then, he flapped his wings and ascended, rushing towards Guilliman.

The two Primarchs once again engaged in battle, fighting fiercely and inextricably.

"Sharp-tongued, no wonder you can provoke Magnus to break down."

Kairos waved his staff, and several old tanks nearby lifted into the air, slamming towards Alex.

Alex's gaze was cold; he leaped, escaping the collision of the abandoned vehicles.

Then, staff in one hand and sword in the other, he charged at the Daemon of Tzeentch.

Kairos blocked Alex's attack and casually released a bright flame, which Alex blocked with a Shield of Faith.

The battle between them was incredibly fierce and lightning-fast; bystanders could only see afterimages.

From the ground to the sky, and then from the sky to the ground,

Their battle was no less intense than that of the Primarchs.

Psychic tides spread outwards in layers from the point of engagement, forming terrifying, surging ripples.

Wherever they passed, metal vaporized and rocks crystallized, a truly shocking sight.

Kairos burned with raw energy; every swing of his staff contained otherworldly magic.

But Alex was not without means to retaliate; golden radiance surged around him, and every strike contained the power of annihilation.

By expending Faith points to gain the Emperor's power,

Alex acquired strength capable of rivaling a Daemon of Tzeentch.

Those Daemons of Fear, looking menacing, tried to rush over to help their master, but Alex cut them in half with a single sword stroke, burning them to ashes.

As time passed, the battle between the man and the Daemon grew increasingly heated.

The clang of weapons resounded continuously, like the bells of doomsday.

After Alex's Staff of Retribution collided with the opponent's staff, he swiftly swung the Holy Judgement Blade.

The blade cut into Kairos's shoulder, making it scream in extreme pain.

Daemon blood, containing the ultimate malice of the Warp, splattered out,

And instantly crystallized into flawless crystals upon landing.

Kairos's beak opened, and a beam of evil energy instantly erupted from its mouth,

Striking Alex and knocking him flying instantly.

But soon, the two were fighting again, using every means to kill each other.

On the other side,

Guilliman surveyed the dust-filled battlefield, searching for Magnus's trace.

After a bitter struggle, the alarm bells were blaring inside Guilliman's helmet.

His armor was extensively damaged, his oxygen supply was leaking, and the vacuum's bitter cold was taking advantage of the breach.

If not for the Primarch's superhuman physique, he would have surely perished by now.

"Come out and face me, Magnus!" Guilliman roared, holding the Emperor's Sword, while vigilantly scanning his surroundings, "You coward and giant baby!"

"Coward and giant baby?"

A gloomy voice sounded, "How dare you use such words to address me?"

Guilliman followed the voice and saw Magnus.

His body was emanating light and continuously growing, eventually becoming as massive as a Warhound Titan, exuding an overwhelming sense of oppression.

"You are just a bug," Magnus said, "a tiny bug."

"You are nothing but a coward and a giant baby who always blames others. If you had taken even a little responsibility, things wouldn't have turned out this badly," Guilliman said sharply.

Having spent so much time with Alex, Guilliman was subtly becoming more sarcastic.

"Have you also learned to be as glib as that fellow?"

Magnus slightly raised his hand, and the Aetheric energy wrapped around his staff pulsated wildly.

"Words are meaningless. You are destined to die here, for I wield true power."

"All I see is a corrupted and enslaved giant baby, incessantly arguing that he isn't a coward," Guilliman retorted.

Magnus attacked in a furious rage, an unparalleled force suddenly unleashed,

transforming into a colossal tidal wave that surged towards Guilliman.

Guilliman tried his best but couldn't withstand the opponent's terrifying power. He was instantly sent flying, landing on the ground unable to get up.

Then, Magnus shrunk his body, swooped down, and stomped on Guilliman's chest.

Cracks appeared on the Armor of Fate, and its internal systems wailed.

"This is your end, my brother."

Sicarius and his Battle Brothers roared, intending to cut through the tide of Daemons and rush over to rescue the Primarch.

But the Thousand Sons Sorcerer and Tzeentch Daemons held them back fiercely.

Just as the Primarch was about to be killed, a bolt of lightning struck Magnus.

"One-eyed Ogryn, your opponent is me."

Tenjiro simultaneously gathered all his strength to unleash an attack and charged towards Magnus.

Seeing Tenjiro, Magnus paused for a moment.

He had been so busy fighting that he hadn't noticed there was a loyalist Thousand Sons on the battlefield.

Such a familiar aura, it was undoubtedly his offspring.

But this Thousand Sons was so pure, without any mutation.

"Father, is this another masterpiece you intend to use to mock me?"

Magnus muttered to himself,

"You know how to prevent the Thousand Sons' mutation, yet you never told me?"

Guilliman seized the opportunity while the Daemon Primarch was distracted, struggling to raise the Hand of Dominion, and pulled the trigger.

Accompanied by a deafening roar, a barrage of bullets poured out, causing the Crimson King to shriek in agony.

The next second, Tenjiro leaped up, the staff in his hand glowing with terrifying radiance, and seized the chance to stab into Magnus's body.

Feeling the pain, a hint of sorrow appeared in Magnus's single eye as he looked at Tenjiro.

"I am your gene-father, the source of your bloodline. You should be loyal to me, so why do you oppose me?"

"I am loyal to the Emperor, you disgraceful one-eyed Ogryn," Tenjiro said with great excitement.

If the official game were to introduce an achievement system, he would definitely earn an achievement.

This was the first time a Player had wounded a Primarch.

"You traitor, you betrayed your brothers and your father."

Magnus swung his staff, and a terrifying force instantly annihilated Tenjiro.

"A traitor who betrays his own father and brothers accusing others of being traitors—that's truly a humorous joke."

Guilliman lunged forward again, seizing the opportunity to punch Magnus in the face once more.

The two sides resumed their fierce battle.

Alex and Kairos were about to determine the victor.

Kairos was, after all, Tzeentch's chief Great Daemon, with unfathomable strength.

During the battle, Alex was bound by chains that suddenly appeared from the Warp, restricting his movement.

Then, Kairos teleported in front of the immobilized Alex,

and the staff in his hand instantly pierced through his body,

golden-glowing blood splattering onto the planet's surface, igniting flames.

Alex staggered back, his Staff of Divine Retribution falling to the ground,

then he knelt, unable to support his body.

"Don't harm the Guide!"

"Fight for the Guide!"

The Players nearby shouted slogans and charged forward, preventing Kairos from slaying Alex.

Kairos utterly crushed these Players.

With a wave of his Psychic Staff, an invisible psychic force swept through, tearing apart all the charging Players.

"I'm coming!"

Zigman roared, backhanding his Power Dagger into his left chest, causing blood to gush out, then charged towards Kairos.

The members of his Hunter Demon Battle Group behind him also followed suit.

Soulless possess powers that counteract psychic abilities.

The stronger the psychic, the greater the counteraction.

Through self-sacrifice, they could enhance this counteracting ability.

Kairos aimed his staff at the Soulless, led by Zigman.

Aetheric tentacles and Warp flames surged out, but dissipated into nothingness upon touching the Soulless.

Kairos shrieked in rage, then cast another powerful spell.

But just like before, the surging Aetheric energy silently vanished.

Kairos could only abandon his psychic abilities and engage these Soulless in melee combat.

Even without his psychic powers, Kairos still possessed the body and strength of a Great Daemon.

Zigman, who was at the very front, was swept aside by a staff strike, his body split open, and he was sent flying backward.

The other Players met the same fate, unable to withstand a single blow from the Great Daemon.

Just as Kairos was slaughtering and rampaging, Alex, who had already knelt, suddenly unleashed a final strike,

the Holy Judgement Blade piercing into Kairos's body, causing it to let out an agonizing shriek.

And at this moment, a roaring sound came from the sky.

Blinding pillars of light descended from the void, and silver-grey warriors wielding halberds and Warhammers emerged from the light,

surging psychic power emanated from these warriors, forming ripples in the air.

The newcomers were none other than the Imperium's blade against Chaos Daemons—the Grey Knights.

"Sanguinius?" The leading Grey Knight looked at Alex, his face showing surprise.

But they didn't have time to verify his identity. Seeing Kairos, they immediately formed ranks and charged towards the Tzeentch Great Daemon.

Kairos fended off the Grey Knights' attacks while looking up at the sky.

Warships were hovering in low orbit, and hundreds of drop pods crashed onto the surface like meteors.

Immediately after, more light appeared on the battlefield, outlining the shape of a vortex amidst the swirling dust.

Fully armored Custodians stepped out of the vortex.

They uniformly pulled their triggers, and an overwhelming torrent of bolt rounds rushed towards the enemy lines like a tsunami.

The Custodians' combat prowess was unquestionable; they slaughtered traitors and Tzeentch Daemons like harvesting crops.

The Sorcerers and Daemons were caught off guard, and their previously assured advantage was instantly reversed.

But this was not the end; drop pods tore through the sky like meteors, landing on the Moon's surface with deafening roars.

Heavy hatch doors opened, and Imperial Fists in bright yellow Power Armor stepped out.

Tanks, Thunderhawks, and other war vehicles followed them into the battle.

"We have failed, but this is also part of the plan."

Kairos knew that the original plan had failed.

They could not prevent Guilliman's return, nor could they eliminate him here.

There was no other option but to retreat.

Kairos decisively retreated. Magnus, enraged, was also helpless and could only lead his subordinates back into the Webway.

However, just as the Crimson King and Fateweaver Kairos retreated to the Webway's edge,

Shyrllian and other Aeldari seized the opportunity to chant ancient spells, detonating a hidden power within the Webway Gate and simultaneously sealing the Webway Gate.

Magnus's roar was drowned out by the earth-shattering explosion.

The Daemon Primarch and the Tzeentch Great Daemon were both blasted deep into the Webway.

They would need to find an exit within the intricate Webway to return to the Warp.

The Crimson King - Magnus and Fateweaver Kairos were expelled,

and this thrilling battle finally drew to a close.

The comms were filled with the cheers of the warriors.

The traitors and Daemons had lost their momentum.

The Daemons and Thousand Sons who couldn't escape were all slaughtered.

After the last Daemon was slain, Shyrllian bid farewell to the Primarch and Alex.

"Our mission is complete now that we have brought you here. It is time for us to depart."

"Thank you for your help." Guilliman was wary of the Aeldari, but at this moment, he was sincere.

"May we meet again in the future." Shyrllian bowed and then turned to leave.

The other Aeldari did the same; after carrying the bodies of their deceased companions, they all vanished into the shadows.

Witnessing the Primarch's appearance, all the Imperial loyalists who participated in the rescue were greatly encouraged.

The news quickly spread, causing shock among various factions.

Soon, vehicles began to land on the Moon's surface one after another.

Some of these vehicles were responsible for carrying out Purification missions, burning the corpses of traitors and purifying residual Chaos energy.

The rest were representatives from various factions,

including Archmagos Senior General Tura Valoris, Imperial Prime Minister Tyreen, and Grand Master Admiral Merida Perrys, among other important figures.

As soon as they received the news, they all set sail from Terra and rushed to Luna to meet the Primarch.

After deliberation, Guilliman and his party would rest briefly on Luna.

They would receive treatment and have technicians repair the battle scars on their Power Armor, aiming to appear before the public in the best possible condition.

Alex also took advantage of this brief rest, before heading to Terra,

to communicate remotely with Cortana,

preparing to launch the 4.0 new version for the Players and simultaneously distribute the tenth batch of closed beta slots.
