Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 : It's just a matter of life and death, who's afraid of who

Ogryn are abhumans who live on high-gravity planets.

They are burly, brutish giants over three meters tall.

Their physiques are extremely powerful, capable of withstanding firepower sufficient to annihilate a squad.

"If you don't want to be beaten into a pulp, don't provoke an Ogryn casually."

This is a warning specifically noted in the manual issued by the Departmento Munitorum to every Astra Militarum soldier.

After being blessed by Chaos, their combat power increased exponentially, comparable to a humanoid Titan.

"Die! Heretic! In the name of the Emperor, I bestow destruction upon you."

Little Fatty pulled the trigger of his multi-barreled laser heavy machine gun, frantically sweeping the incoming enemies.

Dense lasers poured out like a torrential storm.

The Mutants were mowed down in swathes like wheat.

In just a few breaths, they were all reduced to charred, stinking piles of shattered corpses and rotten flesh.

Only the two Chaos Ogryn remained unaffected.

They wore heavy armor and wielded power mauls and massive shields.

When they charged, they rumbled like tanks on the move.

Lasers and bullets hitting them felt like tickles.

The Chaos Ogryn trampled over the broken, charred Mutant limbs, charging all the way.

With brute force, they knocked Little Fatty and his multi-barreled laser heavy machine gun flying.

Bang!

Little Fatty slammed hard into the wall.

The pain from all over his body twisted his features.

Before he could recover, a whistling sound rang out.

He looked up and saw a Chaos Ogryn wielding a power maul, smashing down towards his head.

Then, everything went black.

"He died too horribly!"

"Damn, he's a pulp!"

"Are these Chaos Ogryn that terrifying?"

"Didn't they say Ogryn are brainless?? How do I see these two as quite smart, even knowing to take out our heavy firepower first."

The Players looked at the Chaos Ogryn, their eyes filled with both shock and fear.

With one charge, these two big guys knocked their heavy firepower flying.

They also smashed Little Fatty into a pulp with one blow.

"The Emperor protects you all, do not be afraid, continue firing."

Alex was also startled by the terrifying strength of the Chaos Ogryn.

He quickly used his skills - "Prayer" and "Fervor" - to buff the Players.

Giving them the courage to continue fighting the Chaos Ogryn.

"Demons and monsters, quickly leave, demons and monsters, quickly leave."

Alex fired while using his skill - Light of the Emperor.

To dispel the Warp blessings on the Chaos Ogryn and suppress their power.

Even so, the Players were no match for the Chaos Ogryn.

Once the Chaos Ogryn charged, they were like tanks, crashing through everything without restraint.

If a Player was even slightly careless and failed to dodge in time, he would be knocked flying.

Minor injuries included a few broken ribs, while severe ones resulted in broken bones and tendons, completely losing the ability to move.

The Mutants were also very annoying.

As soon as they saw a Player incapacitated, they swarmed in, tearing out the Player's heart and lungs.

In a short while, the Players were either dead or wounded, with severe casualties.

"My leg, my leg is broken." Wrist Bro (who wanted to arm wrestle Khorne) crawled on the ground, screaming.

When the Chaos Ogryn charged, he couldn't dodge in time, fell to the ground, and had his leg broken.

Wrist Bro originally wanted to crawl to a safe place, but the Mutants kept rushing towards him.

With nowhere to run, he could only lean against the wall, firing his laser gun at the Mutants.

After killing a few, he was overwhelmed by the surging Mutants.

At the brink of death, he felt the frag grenade hanging at his waist.

"For the Emperor!"

Boom!

The grenade exploded.

A dozen Mutants were instantly blown away, their shattered flesh scattered everywhere.

"Damn it, Machine Spirit, please recharge quickly."

Scalp shot at the surging Mutants.

Occasionally, he would look down at the charging muzzle of his plasma gun, his face full of anxiety.

With a pleasant click, the plasma gun's barrel emanated a rich blue light, indicating that the plasma charge was complete.

"Finally, it's ready."

Scalp's face lit up with joy, he stopped firing and raised his plasma gun.

He aimed the muzzle at one of the Chaos Ogryn.

Preparing to let the opponent taste the power of plasma.

However, the next second.

The other Chaos Ogryn charged at him.

Its massive, tank-like body slammed into him, knocking him against the wall.

The fully charged plasma gun was also flung away, falling into the distance.

"Damn!"

Scalp cursed inwardly.

Just as he was about to crawl over to pick up the plasma gun, he heard a whistling sound.

He turned his head and saw a thick, large, black power maul descending towards his head.

"It's over."

Scalp's eyes widened, and his last thought flashed through his mind.

A sound like a bursting watermelon rang out.

Then, everything went black.

Alex killed a Mutant with his entrenching tool, then slid forward, picked up the plasma gun, and pulled the trigger at a Chaos Ogryn.

A huge ball of light, pulsating with blue arcs, whistled out of the barrel, cutting through the air, and landed on the targeted Chaos Ogryn.

Instantly vaporizing its upper body.

Only its thick legs remained standing, emitting a scorching, charred steam.

The protective plate of the gun chamber popped up, sizzling hot steam escaping.

"It seems it's still not loyal enough."

Looking at the overheated plasma gun, Alex threw it aside and swung his entrenching tool, knocking down an incoming Mutant.

"Someone help me!" Warmaster screamed in terror.

He was surrounded by a group of Mutants.

Too close to shoot, he could only use his gun stock to smash the Mutants.

But there were too many enemies; for every one he knocked down, two more took its place.

In a short while, he was completely overwhelmed by the sheer number of Mutants.

He was about to be torn apart by them.

Tenjiro activated "Warp Siphon" to absorb energy, then transformed it into a shockwave, sending the Mutants around Warmaster flying.

But the next second, Tenjiro was ambushed by a Mutant behind him.

Sharp claws pierced his chest, and he died instantly on the spot.

"Damn it! I'll fight you all to the death!"

The tragic death of Tenjiro made Warmaster's eyes turn red.

The ultra-realistic game environment had already left his nerves taut like a bowstring.

Now, he had witnessed a comrade die tragically to save him.

He had already forgotten that he was a Player, only pulling the trigger repeatedly, shooting down the Mutants.

Alex shot at the last remaining Chaos Ogryn while swinging his entrenching tool at the surrounding Mutants.

He was also preoccupied and unable to help the other Players.

"Damn it, a man only dies once. If it's a fight to the death, who's afraid of whom?"

Old Bird had, at some point, strapped a circle of meltabombs to his body, holding a detonator in his hand.

He pressed the detonator and charged towards the Chaos Ogryn.

"For the Emperor."

Boom! Boom!

Dull explosions rang out.

The terrifying shockwave sent nearby Mutants and Players flying.

The frenzied Warmaster crashed into a wall, grimacing in pain, which sobered him up considerably.

Alex flattened himself, dodging the shockwave from the explosion.

Under Old Bird's suicidal attack, the Chaos Ogryn was blown into pieces.

Without the Chaos Ogryn, the remaining Mutants were easier to deal with.

Alex, along with the remaining few Players, killed them one by one.

After blocking the other doors of the Tactical Projection Hall and ensuring no more Mutants could enter, Alex let the Players rest.

This battle was too brutal.

Of the original fifteen Players, only five remained.

And each of them was wounded.

"You all did very well. Take a break. Wounded Players can use medical kits to heal."

After telling them this, Alex went to activate the control console of the Tactical Projection Hall.

Accompanied by mechanical hums and flickering lights, the projection device activated.

Pulsating light outlined the overall structure of the Imperial Glory, as well as their current location.

In a certain villa area on Holy Terra (Earth/Reality).

Zorion gasped for breath, suddenly sitting up from his bed.

His vision was pitch black.

A line of golden text appeared in the darkness.

[5 hours remaining until game login. Please wait patiently]

[Insufficient Faith Value, unable to accelerate resurrection progress]

Zorion reached out and took off his helmet, and soft light entered his vision.

"This game is too damn real!"

After pouring a glass of milk from the refrigerator and calming his excited mood.

Zorion walked to his study, sat in front of his computer, and noticed the Warhammer Cattle and Horse Group icon constantly flashing.

The group messages increased rapidly, reaching 99+ in no time.
