Chapter 1 - Fallen.

Nothing more than a plain looking, sun burned guy who worked a simple office job out in the middle of nowhere. He was just enjoying his life going day by day, hanging out with friends after work for drinks, playing games at home, and occasionally trying to find love on dating sites that just never really had any success. He was happy with his life, and nothing could throw a wrench in his peaceful life.

Growing up, I've never been the most athletic guy. I was born prematurely and that just about set the pace for the rest of my life. I was bullied as a kid, ridiculed as a teenager and finally I got my dream job and physique after years of work. Little did I know that all of my plans for a peaceful life would go straight out the window. One day, a second planet just appeared in the sky. No reason, no sign of it coming until it was just...there.

All of the worlds governments were freaking out and talking about uniting to fight against this new planet, or moving to explore it. It wasn't doing anything at first, and NASA sent out a notice weeks later saying it was harmless, so the world calmed down and even thought about flying to that other world. Some people had tried to travel to this new planet, and they never made it to the planet. Some wall stopped the two worlds from interacting. But suddenly, years later, while I was in the bathroom at my office, the second planet collided with ours. The whole earth shook and I spilled toilet water all over myself. I went to the roof to dry my clothes because if I smelled like toilet water, my coworkers would have never let me hear the end of it.

Suddenly, a big shockwave hit unlike anything seen before in history. Everybody on earth was suddenly pulled through the sky to the second planet. Luckily I was at the rooftop of my building drying my clothes, because otherwise I would've plummeted straight into the wall and I would been flattened like one of my coworkers. It was a sad sight. I saw my friends just turn into a mere splatter in the through the window as I flew upwards. I couldn't fell the sadness for very long because I was more terrified as to why I was flying up with billions of other people. But again I was very shocked when instead of colliding with the second planet, I went into a separate space. I opened my eyes to chaos. Everybody on earth was in a straight line going for miles and miles. Everybody was in a panic. I could barely even hear my own thoughts over all of the noise. Some people were desperately trying to escape when a deafening voice was heard that silenced everybody. "Choose a weapon."

Then suddenly, billions of weapons appeared on the ground. There were guns, knives, swords, you name it. A timer then appeared "10 seconds is all the time you get." the voice echoed into my ears. People were confused, and when someone picked up a weapon, they glowed with a light around them. The voice then said, "Looks like we got ourselves a go getter, here take this." The light around him got brighter and he got a box. "Open it after you get to the other world. Oh, I forgot to mention, if you don't have a weapon in the 10 seconds, oh wait actually 7 seconds now, you will die."

It was a frenzy. Everybody scrambled to find a weapon. Before I knew it, every weapon near me vanished. I was scared because I didn't grab a weapon and there wasn't any weapon around me. and the timer kept ticking down "4, 3, 2, 1." I saw someone near me with a weapon, so I begged them for it. "Please let me have that weapon. Please." They told me in a panic, "f#ck no I need it. I'll die without it", and with the time ticking down I had no other option. I wasn't about to just die because I didn't have a weapon. I tackled the man down to the ground and stole the weapon. He had a wooden stick with a metal rectangle attached, a crude club of sorts.

I felt a sigh of relief as I had a weapon, but I was still tense as I didn't know what would happen next. I saw him on the floor begging me in desperation, "Give it back I need it!", but truthfully, I didn't care. I'm not losing any chance of survival. I tried too hard for peace in my life and I won't lose it like this.

The relief that I felt quickly faded into horror as I saw what happened to the guys I had pushed. Because I tackled the man, he had no weapon and when the time went off, his head just vanished like it was never even there. The blood splattered on my face and I froze. I just killed someone. I was struck with overwhelming guilt at my actions.

Then the chilling voice from earlier cut through my shock. "Alright, it is now time to go to the other world, choose to keep your body, or take a fine gamble by taking someone's body from this new world. Don't worry though, they are all human bodies." The voice said this so nonchalantly like it was normal, but it is more important that they made it seem.

I thought about it and this seems insane, switching bodies? But then I thought it through, and after a while I chose to switch bodies, because even though I had finally built a good physique, I won't be immune to any of the new diseases with my current body. All of a sudden, I blinked and just like that, my body had changed. After I had blinked, I had noticed that I suddenly became about 2 feet shorter. My new body was that of what appeared to be a mere child, and a serf at that. I became frail and small just like I was as a child. "Oh great. Just great." I thought as we were transferred to the new earth.

While I was being transferred, the voice echoed in my ear, "You killed someone! Before we even started! Well done!" The voice said cheerfully. "Here's a gift for your hard work!", the voice exclaimed. A black metal box appeared in my hand. I was intrigued by the box, but just as I was about to open it, I passed out.

I woke up in a daze, scared of my surroundings. After the all of the major shocks I had that day, I realized I was finally at peace. My surroundings were a barn and a field, with nobody around me for at least a few miles. I leapt atop a hay bale and got some much needed real rest, not the forceful sleep from the transport. It was nice to relieve all of my mental fatigue. I forgot to open the box.
