The Day Out With Siblings - Chaotic as Hell
The sun was out, the park was crowded, and chaos was about to become the middle name of the day.
Jay balanced her casted arm carefully, her other hand gripping a paper bag of snacks. Percy immediately spotted her, eyes wide with excitement.
"Jay! You look like you're about to lecture someone already."
Jay smirked. "Someone's been hyped up on way too much sugar."
"Never! I'm a model of chill," Percy claimed, though his bouncing leg said otherwise.
Just then, Keifer appeared with his brothers, Keiren and Keigan, who were already arguing loudly near the picnic table.
"Bro, your playlist is terrible," Keiren said, poking Keigan.
"Your taste is terrible," Keigan shot back, arms crossed.
Keifer sighed, shaking his head. "You guys act like this is the Olympics."
Jay chuckled as Keifer slipped an arm around her waist. "Family bonding," he muttered.
The siblings wasted no time turning the park into their personal arena - Percy challenged Keiren to a sprint, Keigan tried to convince Jay to join a frisbee game, and Keifer and Jay just tried to find moments to breathe.
At one point, Percy tugged Jay's sleeve. "You guys are too cute. Stop hiding it."
Jay rolled her eyes. "We're not hiding anything."
"Uh huh," Percy said knowingly.
Keifer grinned. "Hey Percy, wanna see some real competition?"
Before anyone could answer, Keifer challenged Percy to a push-up contest - which, predictably, ended with Keifer barely holding a dozen and Percy laughing triumphantly.
Jay laughed so hard she almost dropped her drink.
Amidst the noise, Keifer leaned close to Jay. "You holding up?"
Jay nodded. "Better with you here."
They shared a quiet smile, an island of calm in the chaos.
Keigan jogged over. "You two make this look easy. How do you keep the peace?"
Jay smirked. "Magic and selective hearing."
Keifer added, "Mostly magic."
Percy piped up, "And a lot of pretending."
Jay and Keifer exchanged glances and laughed.
As the sun dipped lower, the siblings sprawled on the blankets, exhausted but happy.
Keifer pulled Jay close, whispering, "Ready for the next family adventure?"
Jay rested her head on his shoulder. "As long as it's with you, I'm ready."
