After getting their marriage registered,they both decided to go home, Roxanne now wore an emerald ring complimenting her eyes and then asked,
"Umm...Riven?,c..can I get some things at the supermarket, I.. I.. I've ran out of my supplies?"
Silence followed before he asked,
"Didn't I provide enough for u?"he asked his eyes fixed on his laptop, despite not being in the office,he still worked and on his wedding day.
[Jeez (+_+)]
"You did but not my...uhhh... personal things"she replied
"Twenty minutes"
"T..thank you"she muttered and came out heading into the mall to get her personal things.
She finished in the sanitary unit and decided to get some snacks but as she was choosing,she bumped into someone or should I say someone bumped into her.
"Watch it!"the person snapped and she looked up to see that it was none other than Helen.
"Ooh Roxanne,what a surprise to see u here, I thought you'd be hiding at home or better still,had committed suicide"Helen said with a mocking smile and soon Dennis approached them.
"Well well well, didn't expect to see you Roxy"he said with a smirk
"Of course I'd be here, like any other human, I came to shop"Roxanne replied getting irritated.
"My my,look who's got gutts"Helen sneered
Dennis couldn't help but frown when he noticed a ring on her finger which wasn't the one he had put on her.
"So u decided to buy yourself a fake emerald ring to look like u got married?"he asked with a frown.
"Really?"Helen asked finally noticing the ring and she could tell it wasn't fake emerald on the ring.
"What are you talking about?"Roxanne asked getting scared.
The next minute, Helen was forcefully trying to take the ring off her finger.
"Hey let me go!"
"Take off the ring!"
Both girls kept playing tug of war till a deep cold baritone voice sounded.
"What's going on here?!"
The two ladies froze in their spots and turned to where the voice came from.
The person wore a nosemask but Roxanne could recognize that cold gaze anywhere,it was Riven. His cold gaze landed on their hands and Helen immediately let Roxanne's hand go saying,
"Sir,she stole my ring and won't take it off"Helen replied lieing
"What?!, I didn't,u were trying to take my ring off me"Roxanne refuted,her eyes wide like sausers.
"Liar!,give my fiancee back her ring,poor thing,u probably stole the dress you're wearing and isn't planning on paying for the things you bought-"
"Shut up!"Riven's cold voice rang turning everywhere silent and cold with his glare. By then a huge crowd had formed waiting to see how it'll end.
He then took steps towards Roxanne and stretched out his palm causing Helen and Dennis to smile, thinking he would give them the ring.
"Your hand"he demanded.
Roxanne gulped and placed her shakey hand on his.
Riven examined her hand noticing the ring had given her scratches when pulled and gently caressed it before letting out a sigh.
"This is why I say don't leave without bodyguards"he said and pulled her into his embrace much to the shock of everyone including Roxanne herself.
"Let's go love, next time, I'll ask a maid to get your things for u"he said caressing her cheeks.
Love?!!

He then turned to Helen and Dennis
"I didn't expect better from poor people anyway",he turned to his bodyguards,"get this things paid for and put in the trunk"
Saying that,he shot a glare at the couple and left with Roxanne leaving everyone in great stupor especially Helen and Dennis who were just embarrassed.

Riven pushed Roxanne into the car and got in closing the door shut.
He threw her an ointment and continued with his work while Roxanne just stared at him with her green eyes filled with sadness and curiosity.
Was this the same Riven Sy who was acting all caring just now?
Roxanne continued to stare getting lost in thought until he said coldly
"I'll gauge your eyes out if u keep staring"
That seemed to have brought Roxanne back to her senses and she looked away not allowing him to see the tears that had rolled down her cheeks.
The drive home was silent,the only sound heard was the noice of Riven's laptop. Roxanne sighed starring out the window with her green eyes deprived of life.
Immediately the car stopped,she didn't wait another second and got down running straight to her room as her tears threatened to spill. Once in her room,she locked the door,threw herself on the bed and began crying her eyes out.
"Why can't I just be happy?,why am I so unlucky?"she muttered through tears and sniffed.
"All my life has been from one pain to another, don't I deserve happiness?"she asked to no one in particular as more tears rolled down her eyes.
She sat up and wipped her tears with the back of her palms.
"I shouldn't be crying, I shouldn't shed tears, it's all a contract,a stupid contract"she muttered.
A knock was heard on her door and she froze. She composed herself and opened the door to be greated with the face of the rude maid who handed her a file saying,
"Master said I should give u this", with that she left.
Roxanne opened the file and noticed it was a rule book.
Rule No 1: No sleeping in one room
Rule No 2: Lateness to breakfast will not be tolerated
Rule No 3:No sticking noses in each other's business
Rule No 4:No Intimacy between us
Rule No 5: Always listen to my orders, failure will result in punishment
He can't be serious, right?
And so the rules went on and on till....
Rule No 100:Any form of romantic feelings. If discovered, contract will be terminated with less or no compensation.
What?!, how cruel could he be?

Roxanne gazed at the rules with lazy eyes,she had no more tears to shed and she couldn't shed any.
Rule No 33:No form of soft emotion should be on display except to the general public.
She sighed and dropped the file on the bed, stripped herself and got into the shower,she really needed a cold bath at a time like this.
"What have I gotten myself into?".....
