"So what is this I'm looking at exactly" I ask as I look at the panel with a confused look on my face
"it is a system that will help you in the new world it will keep track of your skills and status, think of it as a special privilege exclusive to you" Felicity says as she walks over to stand beside me and looks at the panel, she suddenly screams when she reads the status
"how?...how can you possibly have infinite luck?" Felicity asks as she tries to comprehend what it is that she is seeing
"what did you just say?" Raito and Kurai scream as they run over to see the status panel
"we knew she was going to mess up somehow" Raito and Kurai sigh as they looked at each other, then they notice the tea cup on the table
"Felicity, care to explain what this is?" Raito asks as she picks up the tea cup from the table and turns to Felicity
"well...I thought Alex....I mean Alexander would be a bit thirsty waiting for us" Felicity says as she turns away from Raito's gaze
"he is a spirit at the moment...he wont get hungry or thirsty" Kurai says as her left eye twitches
"can we fix it?" Felicity asks feeling nervous
"we can not fix it now but lets just be happy that he only drank the tea brewed by you and not one of the teas brewed by one of the stronger gods or goddesses" Raito and Kurai say in a slightly snarky tone
"you make it seem like Felicity is some kind of child" I say as I interrupt them and stop them from arguing
"well she is the youngest of all of us gods and goddesses" Kurai says as she smirks slightly
Felicity looks down as she tries to hide the tears that slowly start to fall down her cheek, as if on impulse I stand up and wipe away the tears, I then freeze when I realise what I just did.
"Thanks" Felicity says in a slightly broken voice
"anyway.. What is the plan now?" I ask trying to change the topic
"oh...right we still need to send you too the new world" Raito says as she turns to look at me
"lets get this over with I'm sure the others would love to hear about what our dear Felicity has done this time" Kurai says
suddenly everything starts to spin again the same way it did when I was first taken to that temple
"hopefully we can meet again soon" Felicity says as everything changes around me
all of a sudden I was standing in what looked like a forest, it is the first time in thirty years that I was around giant trees that didn't try to stab me in the chest, I decided to look at the system that I was given in more detail besides my age being lower I guess that was one of the bonuses, name and skills seem to be normal, next is the status numbers which I guess is how strong or smart I'm supposed to be.
"I wonder if how these stack up against someone from this new world" I think "well I guess I may as well look for a town or something" I start to walk in a random direction hopping it wont take too long to find a town or even another person so I know where I am.
After walking for what feels like an hour or two I don't know the exact amount of time I have been walking for but so far I haven't seen any signs of humans or even creatures, am I even in a world that has life other then plants.
all of a sudden I spotted a river, finally something other then trees and dirt. as I approach I suddenly feel like something is watching me, that is when a giant wolf jumps out from behind a tree stump, it's standing at roughly two meters tall with brown fur that is matted and stained with what I can only assume is blood clearly it was not a friendly creature.
I get ready if it tries to attack me I will be able to react in time, if only I had a weapon then I wouldn't have to be so careful, suddenly I hear a familiar voice.
"don't react if you stand still it wont see you as a threat especially since it's still a pup" Felicity said out of nowhere, that is when I realise that she must have been watching this whole time.
"so what do you recommend that I do since I do not have any weapons or armour, I'm still wearing the torn clothing that I died wearing" I said with a hint of annoyance in my voice because the least they could do is give me proper clothing before sending me to this world
"that's a easy fix I will send some new clothes and a weapon" Felicity says a little excited to be helping me, suddenly a flash of light appears around me and then my clothes change from a torn shirt, ripped pants and the battered boots that I was wearing, then all of a sudden I had a new white cloth shirt with a leather chest plate resting snuggly over top and I also had a pair of hardened leather pants plus a new set of boots sitting, resting on my hip was a sheath that housed my new weapon a shinny new long sword.
"now that is more like it" I say as I draw the sword ready for combat
Just as I drew the sword the wolf lunged at me, with all the combat experience from my time as a soldier and with the skill of master of weapons the sword in my hand felt like a extension of my own arm in instinctively side stepped the wolfs lunge and slashed at its side, as the sword made contact with the wolf it left a deep gash in its side as if it was made of paper.
the wolf let out a howl of pain as it landed on the spot where I was standing a moment ago, I got ready for its next attack when suddenly it started to howl loudly
"crap" I muttered as I realised it was calling for help, so I then quickly stepped forward and slashed at its throat and with a precise swing and a spurt of blood followed by a thud sound its head and body fell separately to the ground.
"that was easier then expected" I said as I cleaned the blade on the fur of the wolf, when suddenly a ball of light left the creatures body and flew into my chest.
"what was that?" I thought to my self as I sheathed my sword
"Alex, are you alright? you didn't get hurt did you?" Felicity asked clearly concerned
"yeah I'm alright felicity, thank you for the timely assist" I said as I started to wonder what to do with the corpse, I started to wonder if it had a core like in my old world, out of habit I cut open its chest and started to search near its heart where the core would be formed in my old world.
"what are you doing Alex?" Felicity asked sounding confused
"seeing if it has a core" I say as I continue feeling around for a core, then I suddenly feel a familiar feeling stone object
"aha found it" I say as I pull out a palm sized stone that looked like it was some sort of gem
"so that is a core" Felicity says and I could just picture her leaning in to get a better look of the core
"you never told me why you decided to pop into have a talk" I say in a joking tone as I slide the core into my pocket
"as I said when you died in your old world I wont leave your side again" Felicity says as if it was the most obvious thing in the world
"well I didn't hear you say that but I guess that was because I died" I said as I walked to the river to wash my hands from the blood
it took a bit longer than expected to get all the blood off my hands, I guess that's to be expected when you are up to your elbow in a giant dead wolf, then I remembered the ball of light.
"by the way, what was that ball of light that came from the wolf after it died" I asked as I stood back up and rubbed my cold wet hands on my pants leg
"oh that would probably be the life essence from the creature, in your case it would be better to call them points" Felicity said with a hint of excitement in her voice
