It turns out they lied that in death you are joined by your loved ones, instead I'm just laying in a dark expanse of nothingness.
I'm not going to lie this is probably for the best, I don't want to see the faces of all the people I have disappointed.
"don't be sad you are not alone here"
There it is again that beautiful and melodic voice.
"you think my voice is beautiful?"
looking around "you can hear my thoughts" I said confused that I cant see anything.
"yes I can, and I have a name you know" the voice sounded a bit sad.
"well to be fair you didn't introduce yourself, so what do I call you" I said feeling a bit bad.
"my name is felicity" she said sounding a bit too happy to be introducing herself.
at that moment everything around me started to spin, and before I knew it I was in what looked like a temple or a church but there was nothing in here besides two seats and a table that looked like they didn't belong here.
Just then she appeared, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, she had long golden blonde hair that flowed over her shoulders and down her back like a waterfall, she had enchanting golden eyes that looked like they were made of liquid gold, she was wearing a white dress that had little yellow flowers on it...and was bare foot.
"do I lookgood" she asked as she walked forward.
"please sit down" she started to say, when she suddenly tripped over her own feet and face planted the ground.
"she tripped over nothing" I thought
"I tripped because... of my shoes" she said trying to sound convincing
"but you are bare foot" I said as I pointed out her obvious bare feet
"fine I'm a bit a clumsy... But I'm a goddess so you shouldn't make fun of me" she said standing back up and walking to sit down this time she was very careful
"she's very cute" I thought as I sat down across from her
she suddenly started to blush and look away from me "he thinks I'm cute" she mutters thinking I cant hear her from this distance.
"and a bit of a moron"
she suddenly starts to glare at me, that's when I remember that she can hear my thoughts.
"my bad" I said as I feel bad that she heard me think that she is a moron even though she is.
"anyway let me introduce myself properly" she said standing up "I am felicity goddess of luck and fortune and sometimes I help my older twin sisters who are the goddess's of life and death, they are normally the ones that are responsible for this"
she seems happy when she talked about her sisters, but now I am confused as to why she is here.
"so why are you here and not them" I ask
"well I wanted to be the one here for you since I have been waiting thirty years to see you again" she said looking a little bashful
"have we met before" I ask as I look at her
she seems to be contemplating something for awhile when suddenly I hear a voice that did not belong to felicity.
"you have not met her but she has been watching you since your old world started to mutate especially since you had a strong affinity with luck" said a little girl in all white with long white hair in a high ponytail, as she appeared another chair materialised underneath her.
"the only one on your old world by the way" said another voice as another little girl appeared this one dressed in all black with short black hair.
"Raito? Kurai? what are you two doing here?" felicity asked a little panicked
"well this is our job after all" Raito and Kurai said at the same time
these two must be the older sisters that felicity was talking about earlier the goddess of life and the goddess of death a little surprising to see that they are kids but they also have Japanese names so I guess anything goes if you are a god.
"so you two are the ones that will send me off to the afterlife" I ask already guessing that is the reason they came here
"well not exactly" Raito says laughing a little
"we are here to make sure our baby sister does not make any mistake when it comes to you" Kurai says looking at felicity as if she was a idiot.
"I can also agree that she's a bit of a idiot"
"you are thinking of something rude aren't you Alex" felicity says as she glares at me
Did she just call me Alex "no" I said as if trying not to admit that I forgot she can read my thoughts.
"anyway, what comes after this? or are we just going to spend eternity talking as if we are best friends?" I ask getting a bit annoyed that I still do not know what they want from me
due to the way I was treated previously I do not trust those in power any more.
"well what we want is to send you to a world that is better than the place you came from, we will also get the other gods to assist you but it will come at a price" Raito says as she waves her hand and a document appears in her hands.
"from the looks of it you have had a hard life but also done everything you could to be a good person" Raito says sounding a bit surprised by what she's reading
"well given the situation you were thrusted into it's not too surprising that you obviously have problems with those that have power and money" Kurai says as she reads over Raito's shoulder
Felicity looks over and is clearly upset upon reading the document, after a moment of silence they all look up at me like I was some lost child in the street.
"you lived a very sad and lonely life even in your final moments you did not have anyone there....well besides me" felicity says as she looks at me with tears forming in her eyes
"to be fair even then I died in the arms of a stranger" I said as I remembered the feeling of being held by her as she cried, its been over thirty years since someone was there to cry over someone like me.
"so now that we have looked at your history, we feel like the other gods need to read this to understand how to help you" Raito and Kurai said at the same time and then they suddenly disappeared to go talk to the other gods.
moments later Felicity suddenly stands up as if receiving a unheard call and then she also disappeared, I was left alone in this unknown place when suddenly a cup of tea appeared on the table followed by felicity saying "this might take a bit so make yourself comfortable" it was as if she was truly worried about someone like me.

it took what felt like hours before I saw felicity again but she looked troubled, as if she just lost something important to her.
"the other gods have agreed that they will help but only with a few skills and to make you younger and healthier so you can live a better life in the next world" Felicity said defeatedly as she sat back down
"clearly I was not worth as much as you thought" I said as I finally took a sip of the tea which was surprisingly still hot
"it's not that you are not worth it but the skills are just that useful" Felicity says
"exactly" Raito and Kurai say as they return with what looks like two orbs of light
"firstly from our oldest brother the god of war and stratergy...is the skill of weapon master it allows you to use any weapon" Raito said as she places one of the orbs onto the table in front of me
"second is from our oldest sister who is the goddess of knowledge and secrets...it is the skill of knowledge of all languages it allows you to read, write and speak every language in the new world" Kurai said as she placed the second orb onto the table
just as I was about to reach out and touch the orbs, I am suddenly stopped by felicity as she grabs my hand and it looks like she is thinking about something or waiting for a response from someone that I can not hear.
"there is one more power for you it is from me and the creator god, it is a bit special" felicity says as she carefully places the orb onto the table
I look at Felicity to see if that is all, when she nods I reach out and touch the orbs. suddenly a golden panel appears Infront of me and it was a bit surprising but after arriving here I have seen too many things to be surprised by a translucent panel.
