Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: Cube

The Tesseract

The container of an Infinity Stone.

At the dawn of the Marvel universe, when creation itself first took shape, the primordial creator god transformed six cosmic singularities—each with boundless energy—into the six Infinity Stones.

The purple Power Stone.

The yellow Mind Stone.

The orange Soul Stone.

The green Time Stone.

The red Reality Stone.

The blue Space Stone.

Each Infinity Stone corresponds to a supreme law of existence.

Aside from the legendary Celestials, almost no one could withstand the raw power of an Infinity Stone.

And so—

Containers were created.

The Tesseract is the vessel of the Space Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones.

Within it lies limitless spatial energy, capable of transporting anyone who touches it to any corner of the universe!

And that's not all.

The Tesseract can also rearrange space itself.

Spatial movement.

Spatial stasis.

Before the Space Stone, such feats are as effortless as breathing.

Yet even this is merely a fraction of its true power.

Its real ability allows one to transcend dimensions, ignore the barriers of the universe, and roam freely across the multiverse.

Beyond that, it also contains an inexhaustible source of pure energy.

The "new element" used in Tony Stark's Arc Reactor was derived from this very energy!

And furthermore—

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one of the strongest female heroes—

Captain Marvel.

Her power in the films originates from the Tesseract itself.

If Renjie's Imaginary Space was to evolve further,

it had to rely on the Space Stone!

"The Tesseract?"

Renjie asked with curiosity.

He hadn't expected Alexander Pierce to approach him proactively—

and invite him to take part in the research.

But upon reflection, it all made perfect sense.

His current identity was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Scientific and Technical Consultant.

His intellect was unrivaled.

"Yes," Pierce said. "I want you to take full responsibility for the entire research project."

"You can use your own laboratory. No one will interfere with you."

"You possess talent far beyond anyone else—

even Tony Stark can't compare."

"You are the most suitable candidate for this project."

"If you're ready, come to S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters and take the Tesseract back for research."

Alexander Pierce spoke with deep emotion.

This was a decision he had deliberated over for a long time.

Renjie's previous acts of brutality had proven something important—

They were the same kind of people.

People who could be trusted.

Renjie was qualified to become the next leader of HYDRA.

The Tesseract had once belonged to HYDRA.

No one understood better than they did just how terrifying the power within it was—

yet for all these years, they had been unable to unravel its secrets.

Renjie's appearance gave Pierce hope.

"What do I have to give in return?"

Renjie asked calmly.

He firmly believed there was no such thing as a free lunch.

"We hope to obtain part of the research results,"

Pierce stated plainly, without pretense.

Rather than letting it rot in their hands,

it was better to extract tangible benefits through Renjie.

"That's acceptable,"

Renjie replied without hesitation.

This Tesseract—

he was determined to claim it.

Ignoring Thor's complaints, Renjie entered the Imaginary Space together with Android 18.

When he emerged again, he was already at S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Reality itself was eroded by an unknown mysterious force.

The space in front of Alexander Pierce suddenly became digitized.

The real world shattered into countless blue-and-white blocks composed of numbers and code, vanishing before everyone's eyes.

An Imaginary Wormhole, large enough for two people to pass through, appeared in front of them.

All S.H.I.E.L.D. agents drew their weapons.

With a single order from Director Pierce, they would pull the trigger.

The first to step out was Android 18.

Only then did Renjie emerge.

Upon seeing that familiar face, the old fox Pierce visibly relaxed.

He immediately ordered everyone to lower their weapons and strode forward enthusiastically.

Pierce wrapped an arm around Renjie's shoulder, examining the young man with satisfaction.

He was exceptional—

every appearance he made left outsiders in awe.

"Welcome back, Mr. Renjie,"

Pierce said warmly.

"Please, follow me."

He led Renjie toward the location where the Tesseract was stored.

As they moved forward, a flicker of hostility flashed by.

Android 18 noticed it instantly and turned her head toward a female agent.

Maria Hill.

After Nick Fury was arrested, she had also been implicated to some extent.

She held no goodwill toward Renjie.

Renjie sensed it as well and glanced back, offering Maria Hill a deep, unreadable smile.

Her face instantly went pale.

Snorting coldly, Maria Hill quickened her pace and left the area.

The current S.H.I.E.L.D. was now completely under Pierce's control.

Their people were everywhere.

She wanted nothing more to do with this man.

After all—

Nick Fury's fate was the clearest warning.

Renjie and his group passed through layer after layer of the world's most impenetrable defenses.

Finally, inside a sealed isolation chamber, they found their objective.

A silver-white briefcase.

Renjie stepped forward and opened it.

A brilliant azure glow reflected on his face, drawing out a look of pure intoxication.

He could clearly sense the spatial elements within the Tesseract,

sending him an unmistakable feeling of affinity.

Elemental Affinity!

And for Infinity Stones—

It worked just as well!!!
